Elisabetta Polignano's Haute couture line is the result of careful research into the finest fabrics, such as the razmir used in the 1950s and jacquard, playing with light shapes and precious details: sensual transparencies, plumetis, glitter, three-dimensional lace and mesh with small hand-carved butterflies, which give the dress freshness and uniqueness.
Each dress is designed to create balance between the elements; examples are the one-shoulder, lightweight dresses in tulle and sequined lace with floral motifs and transparencies; and the tulle dresses embroidered with fringed-effect ramage.
The necklines are deep, leaving the back uncovered; sensual sweetheart necklines with puffed sleeves, plunging necklines embellished with net lace and macramé butterflies carved one by one, and more severe necklines on macramé bodices with kimono sleeves and silk mikado skirt with detachable tail and stylized flower belt.
