I had an ugly patch on my already wallpaper wall that old owners did. Luckily they left some left over wallpaper which I didn’t know how to use and had no instruction. Finally I got it taken care of. Pre-pasted wallpapers are old fashioned died 20 years ago, there was no mention of a wallpaper size, as regards a plastic smoother???? What happened to a lay brush, ??? If your dead set on showing how to hang wallpaper employ a professional decorator,

Hi Roger... If you know so much about this what's your opinion on a modern wallpaper comparable to anaglypta but a fraction of the cost? That doesn't actually break the bank and could be managed by a diy homeowner.... Cuz aside from your negativity as a Victorian remodeler I'm quite happy with this product and she does a good enough show on how to put it up.

Having severed my apprentice days handling Anaglypta type wallpapers, I am more than happy to answer your question, Embossed wallpapers were made from pulp, a cheap wallpaper back then compared to a PVC type wallpaper a huge difference in manufacturing techniques, one cannot compare the two
as different as day and night, the way we were taught was to paste the Embossed wallpaper with a quality starch wallpaper paste and let stand for a good 5 minutes, dropping a pre-pasted wallpaper into a trough if water is and still is 20 out of date, times have moved on, yes hopefully the DIY market has also moved on.

Just to add, why does the manufacturer ask you to change the water every three wallpaper drops?????????
