Hell yeah Mike! Awesome vid, terrible to hear about the guy in the staging lanes. So close to your goal though, you should pull the seats for the street series! It's hard to tell what other guys have done surplus to what they tell you, so comparing times can be heartbreaking 😅 Either way, my goodness that thing sounds amazing! 👌 I'm wondering where your power drops off and how well it holds past fhe dhift point right near the end of the strip? 🤔
Thanks for the video but I'm confused as an ISF owner myself why is your trap speed so low? 114 mph is what a stock ISF does in the 1/4 mile.... an FBO ISF especially tuned should be 119 to 120 in the quarter mile in the high 11s what am I missing here 🤔
Hi Gabe. No idea. My first run in this car stock was 13.27@108.5 mph. It has never had strong top end. But now it is 0.96 seconds quicker and 6.9 mph faster. Not all ISFs are equal and I have no idea how my car was treated before I got it. I am equal and faster than many ISFs with full bolt ons and tunes by the way. Only the very few do 118 or more mph and they are the super healthy ones from the factory.
I agree with you that not all of them came from the factory the same as far as tolerances are concerned but it's still baffling why yours suffers on the top end. Have you had a compression check done on the motor? Does your motor burn any oil anything that you have to add between oil changes? Regardless you've made some nice improvements from stock!
@@gabeh7373 I have not done a comp test. It hardly uses any oil and inside the engine is pristine. Looks new. So I am frustrated as well. Maybe mine is just dull. I have no idea how it was treated with the previous owner/s. The engine is super quiet, no misses and great on fuel etc.
This video is interesting as we have the same mods. His best was a 12.487 @ 112.46 with FBO. (He did improve to a 12.30 Sec @ 116.17 MPH later) th-cam.com/video/jpfjaEh6T0I/w-d-xo.html
@@SouthernCrossMotors A 12.2-12.4 1/4 mile is about right for the power/weight for a FBO ISF. The cars you see running high 11 1/4 miles usually have some weight reduction, lightweight wheels and semi slick tyres running E20-30 blend fuels. With a bit of luck and a good 60ft they are sneaking into the 11's.
Not sure what you mean. There is nothing wrong in the top end. Maybe you are hearing the converter unlock at 6,800 and flare a little. That is something my tuner is working on. Engine is perfect.
Well done mate, keep it up When the time comes i will take mine to the strip, only problem is Adelaide drag strip has been closed for a few years, and the bend hasn't finished their dragstrip yet so we got none down here. I wonder how I would go, My mods: PPE headers X force Varex catless exhaust RR tuned Intake RR transmission Cooler RR oil separator RR suspension RR- USRS DBA lightweight brake kit The suspension, exhaust and the brakes have added significant weight reduction to stock, I would have to calculate it to tell you exact figures.
I reckon low 12s at 115-117 easy. The only thing you may need are some sticky tyres as those mods will over power street tyres. If you can get a chance to run your car on a dyno....try and fine a hub dyno made my Mainline. They are excellent and calibration is very even across the them.
@@SouthernCrossMotors Low 12's would be great, Have you considered the sikky carbon fibre drive shaft ? I've heard alot of mixed reviews. Yes working towards some lighter wheels and stickier tyres.. Im running stock wheels and ps4s at the moment. Forums say 245/275 set up
Hell yeah 12.3! Nice work man
Thank you. I will want that 12.2xx and 7.9xx 🤣😂🙏🙏🙏
@@SouthernCrossMotors haha ofcourse!

Those things are such sleepers 😂😂🤣

You're doing a great job
but it doesn't sound good in the top end.
How many miles on it?
