Yeah, I'm a roofer. One of the best in my area with over 30 years experience. We repair more than 1500 roos per year. The solar stack solution is a terrible one. How are you going to repair the roof if there's a leak under the adhesive? This is not unlike many other solutions that have been tried over the years that prevent access to the roof. Very very very expensive to make repairs under a solar system that is not properly mounted on a stanchion type system You have been warned.
Anything that is "not properly mounted" will make repair harder. These mounting blocks have been around for years on roofs that don't allow penetration. You're saying a little spot of glue is a major obstacle? Also, don't put a mount on a hole, then no leak to repair on the *roof.
@@stevespyder Solar panels are only 35 volts dc max and they are not connected to wiring. Whoever made the adhesive probably never thought a roof in the sun might get hot, good point. I'm surprised the old roofer hasn't spontaneously combusted by now.

Just connect a wire to one end of a battery, wrap the other end against a pencil graphite core , then touch to the other end of a battery and see what happens!
Solar panels I guess? I think those roads will not be as fast charging as the charging station but it can certainly help add more mileage to travels. It certainly is the future.

My cousin and I built his house using the foam blocks and two story mono-polyptic poor it's probably one of the strongest structures in Texas and it was very easy to do once we got the footing dug anyway it cost a hell of a lot of money for all that concrete but that being said it's a badass house and it's insulated well and a tornado is not going to take it down rip the roof off of it but the house is not going anywhere

Damn, 3 people at 150lbs/each is 450lbs... which is above the rating limit of the aluminum docks? Seems like they should be a hell of a lot stronger than that. My friends and I used to hang out on wooden floating docks and there would be 6-7 of us, all weighing about 150lbs each on avg... and we never had a problem.
Instead of a road that charges your electric car, how about figuring out a way for your car to charge itself while driving. Then maybe people would buy more electric cars. But I'm sure the electric companies would make sure that never happens.
The Electric roads seem dumber than dirt. There were solar roads suggested a few years back. With the amount of road maintenance that needs to be done. Now they will have to send out electricians also. Accidents, fires, wet roads and electricity all sound like great combinations.
Italy, Korea and Sweden already have them and are expanding them. Florida, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Utah have plans to build them and Detroit is making one right now.
The question I have about the road and charging Vehicles is who's going to pay for that. One thing is for installing it the other thing is who's paying for the electricity and how they going to charge it to the individual or is the taxpayers going to be stuck with it

If it were designed for a bike path that could use any number of new EV devices like bikes, scooters, unicycles and segways the cost would be far, far less, power requirements far less and encourage use of alternate transport and reducing congestion.
