I hope Owen knows Alzheimer's isn't just "bad luck" ... it's also genetics, comorbidities & environmental exposure. My Mother had Lupus & Ulcerative Colitis. She smoked all her adult life never ate right, got regular exercise or saw Doctors to prevent her inflammation flares on a regular basis. She also worked 25 years as a Supervising Custodian at one of our local Colleges & had exposure to chemicals on a regular basis. At age 50 I began noticing some personality changes. When she was 55 or 56, we started seeing some strange, out of the norm memory lapses & issues managing hers & my Dad's finances. We had intervention, got her to agree to see a Doctor. They ran tests, PET scan showed brain atrophy. Needless to say she declined rapidly afterwards & died at age 61 & 4 months. My Father refused autopsy to confirm Alzheimer's, so in 2012; I went for genetic testing. I have one APOE3 & and #APOE4 marker for Alzheimer's. I'm now going on 51. While I have comorbidities of Multiple Autoimmune Syndrome & Crohn's, I stay active, take all my medications religiously to reduce inflammation. I quit smoking 15 years ago, see my PCP & specialists 4x's a year & removed all chemicals in my house related to cleaning & personal care. My memory is fabulous & my scans every 5 years have been normal. You can control/ delay or even prevent disease onset of this horrible disease if you know these things & make changes.
Hi heather, it's very interesting how you mention you've been doing what you can to prevent Alzheimer's. I'm doing the same things, myself. I'm looking for a functional medicine doctor, also. Good for you for staying well! What is a PCP?
It seems that in most recent years Owen has taken on roles and projects that are so different than what he's known for or done in the past. Or maybe it just seems that way to me as I'm just becoming familiar with his work.
Is anyone else dying to meet Owen because his wife is by that I mean me! She looks so friendly and fun to talk to but I would have trouble talking to him because I love him so much I would just stare at him for hours if Owen were to ask me what my name is all that would come out is Bri I would not be able to say Briana! I would also ask him if he was single I would say well baby you got a girlfriend now she's been waiting for you for years!:-)
I’ve spent the last 7 months watching all of his movies and kind of getting a feel of the kind of person he is and I just really get that down to earth vibe from him. I’m not saying he’s perfect but he does exude good vibes and seems a lot happier lately than he’s ever been. I hope he thrives and knows that his dad is still proud of him.
Owen Wilson is just the greatest.
He is wonderful! What an awesome father he has! He is very lucky

It's not even worth the effort to mention the wrists you never slit.
Too bad he totally denies the existence of his new daughter from an ex gf
