I knew about Armored Core for decades, but never had the chance to play it, and by the time I did have the opportunity to play it I never got around to it. The reveal of 6 finally kicked me in the ass and got me to start playing starting with the PS1 games.
For now, this tired Raven's going to watch the rest of you soar while fighting on old battlefronts. But when the day arrives that I can make it to Rubicon, I'll be looking forward to crossing laserblades with the rest of you.
Not gonna lie, I cried buckets when AC 6 was announced, I've been playing AC games when i was young, about 4 to 5, i was sad after the last AC game was made and no new one was made or announced afterward, many years later, the flame i had started to die and when it was about dead i saw the announcement of AC 6 and the flame became an inferno. Now, its time to fly once again Ravens, see you all on the battlefield.

I can't help but laugh at myself for only noticing on this video, after all these years (literally decades) that the background of the 'This is the only test we give to those who want to be Ravens' screen? Is the AI's core processor chip shown at the end, which has the pattern of lights we know so well from Human Plus.
This tributes perhaps one if not the best, especially how you show all of the gameplay of gen 1 to gen 5 and ending it with current gen. Really got me emotional because the franchise that I always clinging and believe that we will have another instalment finally able to show it true wings and soar to the sky once again after a decade of disappearing.
If I knew about this game sooner and took it more seriously, I’d definitely would have became a fellow Raven But I can for sure settle for being part of the next generation as a Hound instead, hope to see y’all in 18 days!
I never heard of Armored Core before I met my girlfriend, she's a *MASSIVE* fan of the franchise. When AC6 got announced she was so hyped about it, never seen her get so excited about another game announcement. And she gave me amgiant info dump/lecture about the lore and story about the games. To the point that even now I'm a bit excited about AC6, and I'm thinking about grabbing it along with her.
Despite only coming to know and appreciate this franchise recently, I can't help getting a warm fuzzy feeling when I watch this. Can't wait for August 25th, see ya then Ravens.

i have always loved mecha, i watched gundam all the time when i was a kid, loved transformers, and played any game that had mecha in it. AC of every kind of mecha i've seen is just different, it has always been my ideal version of mecha, seeing it come back and show just how good this genre is again feels good.
We need every fan that was in the reserves to come back, I know there's a lot more people like that around but they just didn't have anything to come together for :)
I used to play the demo all the time as a kid I became obsessed with robots with four legs it was the most mind blowing thing ever. I didn’t play much after 2 I think. I hope something like bashido blade or tenchu gets something like this a trusted company that evolves the game and does it justice.
As someone who has played Armored Core since childhood (mostly Armored Core 2, Another Age, Nexus and the first three of the xbox 360 and ps3) i am glad that the franchise has make a comeback with Armored Core 6 and let me tell you i played Fires of Rubicon and i am having a blast playing it despite its difficulty. I have a feeling that Armored Core 6 may have saved the franchise and honestly it makes me feel relief. Hope i get to play Armored Core 3 and Silent Line someday Fly far and beyond. My fellow Ravens and Linxes.
I see myself recreating white glint I already saw missiles in the gameplay review which looked like its clustermissiles (at least in shape) And the corepart & head which was shown in the reveal trailer The arms and legs can get tricky but i might manage

You can get mech textures in 5th gen now. Its a Canary build of Xenia for the 360 side of emulation, a lot smoother than ps3
I've dabbled a bit with both textures and no textures, but seeing 5th gen run smoothly is too good
@SilverGlint i forget which but theres a mod for canary xenia with textures +60fps thats not hard to run
