His sword makes an excellent rifle/longsword for CW Bruticus or another combiner. Plus it splits to make a nice commander sword for Onslaught & a blaster for another individual Combaticon. I like the idea of combining their weapons to make a gestault's super weapon.
I love how much it homages the G1 Starscream. You already can tell that it LOOKS like the old Starscream, but there is another thing that is brought back from the original Transformers. In season 3, Starscream was a ghost for a little while, which Energon carried on into the new century. Juust awesome.
Yeah but in Energon he's given a new body by alpha quintesson. At first he's portrayed as constantly vanishing and re-appearing like maybe he's struggling to stay in a tangible state for long but later on he's mostly seen solid but will occassionally appear out of no were or something.
Si @@animemanXLK. Eso es porque Alpha Qüinteson no tenía suficiente energon para devolverlo COMPLETAMENTE a la vida (es como un estado incompleto entre lo físico y lo inmaterial).
I had starscream as a child. He was my favorite decepticon to play with. In fact I still have him though he has seen better days. The light piping didn’t work that well in my figure as well. So it’s not just a problem with yours.
Still got all my Transformers, it was the hand sized ones that were always my favourite. Ransack (the red motorcycle from the cybertron series) was one of my top 3.
almost all of the best molds from the energon line belong to the decepticons and starscream is no different. great toy and i actually like the clear plastic and battle damage. it suits the character as being resurrected from the dead and the clear plastic creatively represents the character's ability to cloak himself.
This was my favorite toy as a kid. I remember the day I got it I was really excited and then one of my younger brothers broke it a few months later. Just got another one today in the mail as a memento 16 years later.
I have to say painting this figure my not be a good idea, if someone wants it to look like he did in the show then the clear areas are on him in that, it was Alpha Q that brought him back and ran out of energon before he was done, that's is where the clear areas come from. Also Squall Leonhart, LOL, I think you mean Cloud Strife.
Starscream wasn't revived by Megatron Starscream was resurrected before Megatron Starscream was revived by Alpha-Q and was later brainwashed by Megatron into being his loyal right hand man
I’ve been trying to find older figures from the unicron trilogy and this was one I had back in the day. I remember buying it at a grocery store I used to get a lot of transformers from in the early 2000’s. I do remember this figure being a pain to transform the arms into alt mode lol
Just got him. He will serve as a Machine Wars/G2 Starscream. He also, interestingly enough, has an F-22-esque vehicle mode like the Movie Starscream, while homaging the G1 and BW. PURE. Awesome.
I searched all over the internet when I found this from my old toy bin, and my version is painted in the original g1 colorway. Was this an official release? I'm pretty sure I got it as a kid from a garage sale.
he is pretty cool, and those colors make him look ghostly! you forgot to mention that you can attach both weapons as guns on his shoulders when deploying the missile launchers
im not to sure how many times they used this mold. it was this one another with g1 colors and then 2 others characters for a botcon. not sure if they used it again
***** Obviously way late on this, but I wonder if the recolor in the G1 Streamer scheme changes thing so that the same plastic is used on both shoulders? While I'm fine with why the tinted clear plastic was used (the idea being that this particular Screamer is something of a zombie, with certain parts of his anatomy being energy constructs rather than 'normal' cybermaterial), I have a few issues with the plastic they used for it, *especially* that right shoulder. It feels more brittle than the opaque plastic used for the left shoulder. Given the amount of force needed to get the arms in and out of that middle opening when transforming him, I always worry that at some point that shoulder is just plain going to crack open. Another couple of things to point out that you missed. Screamer's big-a** sword, much like the combining weapons of the other smaller Energon figures (the Terrorcons, the Omnicons, and such), it is quite usable with the larger bots in the line..and is more in scale with them. *Also*, some of those numerous peg holes on the weapon are Mini-con connectors (as are some on the other combining weapons as well) allowing them to be mounted on and trigger mini-con gimmicks on Armada figures or any others with the matching connectors.
Not a remold of BWII Starscream, even though that is a very common mis conception. While the transformation scheme may be similar the two figures come from completly seperate molds with absolutly no simularities between them. The only thing the twon figures shere is how they transform and even that isn't an exact match.
Is there any way to lower the shoulders down to be flush with the chest piece? I remember having him as a kid and swore they could move down. I could be wrong though.
I think the combined weapon is actually a spear. If the blade itself is shorter than the rest of the weapon, it's considered a spear. Take the Shogun Spear from PR: Super Samurai. It was done the same way (Or close to it). So, yeah, you might have meant to say "Spear of Top-Heaviness". No problem, though.
It's a shame this is the ONE Starscream mold that never got the Thundercracker/Skywarp treatment; otherwise you could use 'em for the early IDW Seekers. Both modes look approximately the same.
No, no, no, this figure ISN'T a retool, it's a completely new mold sharing no parts with ANY existing toy. I know, it's a small gripe, but get your facts straight man lol.
I wish the Michael Bay Starscream looked a little closer to this instead of that bulky gorilla version it's not like it couldn't be done considering this version and the movie version are both F-22 jets.
James Whittle They had to make him wide and stocky because Bayformers don't mass-shift and are as close to the real vehicles as they can get. Since Screamer is a giant jet and had to be smaller than Optimus in Robot Mode, they used his mass making him wide.
Johnathan Zaayer Yeah, they should have designed him so his doorwings point out to the side and have his mirrors point up(to form the wing spikes) instead of having them hang down. I don't like Hot Rod's head, either. The rest of the designs do look really cool though, especially the all new Barricade. He was my favourite Movie Decepticon and i'm super excited for his return. I also like that Drift is red now and the medic markings on Hound look great too.
His sword makes an excellent rifle/longsword for CW Bruticus or another combiner. Plus it splits to make a nice commander sword for Onslaught & a blaster for another individual Combaticon. I like the idea of combining their weapons to make a gestault's super weapon.
I like his Longsword
I love how much it homages the G1 Starscream. You already can tell that it LOOKS like the old Starscream, but there is another thing that is brought back from the original Transformers. In season 3, Starscream was a ghost for a little while, which Energon carried on into the new century. Juust awesome.
I think technically he stayed a ghost. Or like a kind of half ghost half transformer if that makes any sense
Yeah but in Energon he's given a new body by alpha quintesson. At first he's portrayed as constantly vanishing and re-appearing like maybe he's struggling to stay in a tangible state for long but later on he's mostly seen solid but will occassionally appear out of no were or something.

Love this little guy. Wish I bought the G1 colour scheme as well
Tf Energon Starscream's F-22 Raptor mode...before to became popular in the movies...
Good thing Energon Starscream doesn't look much like a Dorito unlike his movie counterpart XD
almost all of the best molds from the energon line belong to the decepticons and starscream is no different. great toy and i actually like the clear plastic and battle damage. it suits the character as being resurrected from the dead and the clear plastic creatively represents the character's ability to cloak himself.
Where is the battle damage at?
Sure it's no Armada Starscream that I enjoyed but y'know, I kinda think his Energon figure looks cool imo.
This was my favorite toy as a kid. I remember the day I got it I was really excited and then one of my younger brothers broke it a few months later. Just got another one today in the mail as a memento 16 years later.
Him being brought back as a ghost is also a tribute to him being a ghost in G1 when Unicron used him to repair him.
Alpha q is the one who brought starscream as a ghost
Actually Alpha Quintesson revived Starscream.
Man I love the transparent accessories and parts. It's like a new power (A sort of intentional, but subtle references to Superlink's opening)
He serves as the Classics Starscream in my collection. It works surprisingly well.
I have to say painting this figure my not be a good idea, if someone wants it to look like he did in the show then the clear areas are on him in that, it was Alpha Q that brought him back and ran out of energon before he was done, that's is where the clear areas come from.

I got this guy at the flea market in new castle today along with Energon Hot Shot #1ststateDelaware! They were 2 for $8
I wish Hasbro would do this kind of upgrades to older molds more often.
Starscream wasn't revived by Megatron Starscream was resurrected before Megatron Starscream was revived by Alpha-Q and was later brainwashed by Megatron into being his loyal right hand man
true, but after he was resourected he had amnesia, so alpha q also kinda brainwashed him
Still that doesn't make my point any less valid
LSSJGod i didnt say it wasnt
LSSJBlue, why are you in the transformers universe?
I wish he met Alexis again, she might have been able to snap him out of it
Starscream was my second Energon figure, my first was Optimus Prime. I have always liked him. He was also my first Starscream.
I’ve been trying to find older figures from the unicron trilogy and this was one I had back in the day. I remember buying it at a grocery store I used to get a lot of transformers from in the early 2000’s. I do remember this figure being a pain to transform the arms into alt mode lol
The arms are frustrating.
Just got him.
He will serve as a Machine Wars/G2 Starscream. He also, interestingly enough, has an F-22-esque vehicle mode like the Movie Starscream, while homaging the G1 and BW. PURE. Awesome.
I have this figure but with G1 colors. I lost one of his wings a long time ago though
He looks like cybertron starscream
It’s because Cybertron is a sequel to Energon
@@PunchCounterpunch_Lizzyaunque cybertron está muy desconectada y sin sentido
one of my favourite starscream toys that massive sword is awesome
0:21 Alpha Q not Megatron
I have *Air Raid* from Transformers Universe Superion Maximus, looks exactly like this look it up
the transformation actually reminds me a lot of the HFTD Terradive mold. Perhaps it was based off of this one or its predecessor.
Well in energon he was starscream and in Superlink he was called "Nightscream"
No Nightscream was Starscream's Japanese name
I Know
+LSSJGod erm, "Superlink" IS the Japanese series. so, naturally, Nightscream is the name used in the anime.
*flashes back to beast machines* *shivers*
I just realize that this Starscream has similar transformation mechanism/engineering with Beast Wars II Starscream
Actually, Alpha Q ressurected him because Megatron was stealing the energon collected for Unicron's reactivation
I searched all over the internet when I found this from my old toy bin, and my version is painted in the original g1 colorway. Was this an official release? I'm pretty sure I got it as a kid from a garage sale.
Just got him from a local comic shop. Very nice.
He's a nice little chap.
underrated figure
i remember that i got in trouble at school when i was little for that big arse sword thing lol
I had this figure a long time ago. I really miss it.
Too cool I want him>
I think this is what Hasbro based the transformation for hunt for the decepticons terradive off of
It is NOT a remold of BWII 'Scream, It's a very SIMILAR mold, but not the same.
i used to have this guy.
one of his hip joints went all loose though, so in my world, he had a bum leg :3
good times.
he is pretty cool, and those colors make him look ghostly!
you forgot to mention that you can attach both weapons as guns on his shoulders when deploying the missile launchers
and cyberjet spacecase and HFTD terradive. its a very common transformation method.
say what you want about energon and how the character was depicted, but i really love this toy and the colours.
Beast Wars Second Starscream is a repaint of G2 Smokescreen.
His transformation reminds me a lot of HFTD Terradive.
That's the 1 energon figure I have. Found it MIB at a flea market for $12. I like the clear smokey color. Kinda portrays his ghostness :)
im not to sure how many times they used this mold. it was this one another with g1 colors and then 2 others characters for a botcon. not sure if they used it again
Is it just me or does he transform almost EXACTLY like Terradive?
I never got to see when Starscream died in the Armada series when it was on TV. :(
this mold wasn't from bw2 actually from generation 2 smokescreen that with dreadwing.
***** Obviously way late on this, but I wonder if the recolor in the G1 Streamer scheme changes thing so that the same plastic is used on both shoulders? Only sheltered pussies too young for the internet censor themselves, the word "ass" really isn't bad.

Starscream, what the hell did they do to you?
His face looked prime-ish in the beast wars 2nd line.
Mine broke from the wings and the right arm. Gotta get the other version of it
I think the combined weapon is actually a spear. If the blade itself is shorter than the rest of the weapon, it's considered a spear. Take the Shogun Spear from PR: Super Samurai. It was done the same way (Or close to it). So, yeah, you might have meant to say "Spear of Top-Heaviness". No problem, though.
StarScreams hyper mode was so broken in the show
He kinda reminds of the Swat Kat's Turbo Kat
It is NOT a retool. It uses similar engineering but is a TOTALLY NEW MOLD.
Not actually a remold, though it does share the same engineering as G2 smokescreen/BWII starscream/ etc, just like hardtop and energon sledge
trying to transform him and it refuses to flip down. I'm confused and I'm afraid of breaking it...
update: everything was simple as there's only a few steps but joints were just hard lol. Great fig.
grate job
uhh... yeah, he's a sparkless clone of the armada starscream
LOL a final fantasy reference 4:31
Hey dude starscream was brought back not by megatron but by alphaq but megatron erased starscreams memories of alpha q and and so he joined megatron.
you know Starscream Energon series was extremely loyal to mageTron
@baltmatrix I seem to remember you doing this figure a couple of years back. Are you re-doing some of your reviews since you have the turn table now?
But LOOKS almost EXACTLY THE SAME as the Beast Wars version.
It's a shame this is the ONE Starscream mold that never got the Thundercracker/Skywarp treatment; otherwise you could use 'em for the early IDW Seekers. Both modes look approximately the same.
I used 2 have a broken version of this figure
When you say squall don't you mean cloud, squall has the gun blade
I had the sword put on ultimate optimus dotm, found him at flea market
I like Armada better.
I got the g1 repaint the other day for $10 on ebay
No, no, no, this figure ISN'T a retool, it's a completely new mold sharing no parts with ANY existing toy. I know, it's a small gripe, but get your facts straight man lol.
Energon chip what is that?
Thought it was alpha q then megatron turned him loyal again
Nick Reeves that's true.balt just made a mistake in saying megatron revived starscream.
Did'nt one of his wings turn into a sword in the series
What are talking about he was resurrected by alpha q
It's not technically a remold - it's just the same TF scheme. Yay minutia!
I wish the Michael Bay Starscream looked a little closer to this instead of that bulky gorilla version it's not like it couldn't be done considering this version and the movie version are both F-22 jets.
i dont care for bayscream mux=ch myself
James Whittle They had to make him wide and stocky because Bayformers don't mass-shift and are as close to the real vehicles as they can get. Since Screamer is a giant jet and had to be smaller than Optimus in Robot Mode, they used his mass making him wide.
True. Still doesnt excuse that TLK Hot Rod. He at leasts needs his back wings
Yeah. Micheal Bae (Spelled that way on purpose) has done some questionable things.
I did not like this Starscream. In my opinion, there was too much showing on the bottom half of the jet mode.
Honestly, this is the only Starscream character I generally dislike. His Personality in the series is almost non-existent. He's a tool.
He was heavily brainwashed by megatron for most of the series
Beast machines you mean not beast was the second lol
There’s a TF anime actually called Beast Wars II. He’s referring to that Japan-only series.
id still have this figure, but transparent plastic is the worst thing ever.
Thought it was alpha q then megatron turned him loyal again
