Basically, MM hates anything that teaches kids to be brainless sheep; he wants his listeners to be critical of what they are told. Everyone should be. Yes i heard about that not long ago. And even though they were wrong to do what they did they did need to be listened to and maybe if someone had maybe it wouldnt of happened. I dont know if that is right but he really is an intelligent person. And actually quite a compassionate and empathetic person.
@@heidibaltom8138 I've seen quite a few interviews of him at that time. He easily wipes the floor with most interviewers, especially those who try to outsmart him. What many people don't know: he's also a proficient painter, and his pics are just as - eccentric as his songs. ;)

I live in Sweden and I got a Friend that half American, his dad who is an American (but lives in Sweden) actually forbid me to visit my friend after he found out that I listen to Marilyn Manson, he no longer greeted and started to ignore me. Today 11 years later i'm still friends with his son, and I'm a bus driver and his dad sometimes travels with me on the bus, he have started to greet me again x) Religious people are so close minded (usually).

You know, it’s amazing that you mention the Columbine shooting, and Manson’s suppose reaction to it Alex.
There’s a documentary of Micheal Moore’s called “Bowling for Columbine” where he talks about how American is obsessed with the “right to bear arms” and all the pointless gun related violence of American citizens.
Anyhoo.. Micheal interviews Manson about how he reacted when society blamed him for the two kids actions.. to which he gave his two-cents.. but afterwards Micheal asks him “if you had a chance to talk to the two boys who committed the shooting, what would you say to them?”
And all Manson could answer back was “I wouldn’t say a damn word! I would’ve just sat there and listened to what they had to say… because it seems to me like no one else seemed to care!”
Check it out if you want.. but to me, that was one of the moments where I found nothing but respect, for Marilyn Manson.. 🤘😩

He’s very intelligent and a lot of people don’t like him because they don’t know what messages he is giving us in each song.
