I’ve caught some monsters on a swim jig! I just haven’t been throwing it lately. A M/H fast is a must that’s for sure lol. 7.3.1 reel is good, me personally is 15-17 lb line. Pline floroclear is my favorite. Swim jigs are fun and I like to pair my swim jig with a largo shad because it gives that jig a real good side to side action and you don’t have to shake it as much. A rage menis is a great trailer too. Great video bro! God bless!
I like to keep the line I use fairly light. Of course that could change if I ever lose a PB that breaks my line. I've thought about using P-line. 🤔 it's a bit cheaper than pure floro isn't it?. Do you notice a difference with p-line versus floro? Does it sink like floro.
@@castingacrosstexasfishing well to be honest I have gotten the red label and lord I can’t wait to get it off my reel! 😂😂. Pline floroclear is a lot better to me and doesn’t fray up as bad as red label. Doesn’t hold a lot of memory neater. I use 15lb for all my heavy wire hooks just because I don’t have to set the hook as hard and don’t have to worry about breaking off on a big fish or a log. If you ever get 10lb in a log or tree, yeah that will make you have a bad day 😂. I have 10lb floor on my jerk bait rig and 12 on my cranking setups.
Yes sir. I like to add those little touches to up the production value a bit. It's my artistic side showing off when I can. Appreciate your comment and support .
@@castingacrosstexasfishing Are you able to do layers on your editing software. Record yourself in front of a solid background then key yourself out of the background and layer it above the kayak background. That way you don’t have that zoom video look going on.
Have you ever used a swim jig and if so what's your swim jig PB?
Never have used a swim jig. I'm from Round Rock, Tx 😊

Interesting didn’t know you can use 10lb test for swim jigs I always use between 12 and 14lbs on those.
For me its just a personal preference. It's worked well so far. I'm sure I'll move to heavier line the first time I have a lunker break off. 😆
Nice slomo at the end. 👍😎
