Funny enough, the reject bots are probably some of the smartest ones aboard the ship, as they show an ability to think outside the box for solutions, and seemingly have an ability to think freely and ignore orders/inputs.
Yes, but most, if not all, bots on the axiom are capable of freethinking, say except for Auto. The two main characters have sentience, and you can see the other robots have sentience based on the way they react to things, like running away when they see reject bots, or Mo when he steps off the line, and Burn-E for example. @@user-fx8rk2jm3w Yes, you can look it up, it is it's model name. Kinda interesting how Pixar was out of names for robots, so they just went with a German name. Perhaps, in the Wall-E universe the robot was made by a German branch of BnL?
...its probably a bad idea, but I kinda want a mini series based off of the reject bots after the movie's end. Like something cute, and as a 'Day Of' episode format. Maybe a little bonding moment here and there.
Thiss. If it wasn't for the constant fear of spin off series being poorly executed (most of the time) i would LOVE to see a mini serie about the robots and the new life on earth in general :(
The salon bot uses its pre-recorded voice to talk for itself! Like at 2:46 when it goes “oh my” before deflecting a beam, or at 3:26 It goes “you’re kidding!” When it sees wall e and Eve sharing a moment lol. I love the little moments in this movie
It took me *so* *long* to realize the painter bot was asking for Wall-E to play "Sunday Clothes", it's so cute! That little bot dreams of being a singer. :) I used to think of the other rogue robots as setpieces added just to give Wall-E and EVE (and MO to a lesser extent) a few more nonregular robots to work together with, but there is just SO much personality packed into these three minutes (and 36 seconds) of content!

one has to ask, if the reject robots are malfunctioning or have just been on for too long without a memory wipe and have developed a growing sense of self awareness and that is why, at the end, they are able to help wall-e get the plant. and as someone pointed out in the comments, the fighter was able to massage the human normally. perhaps, the reject robots just wanted to try something new for once and see how they like it?
That might be the case, since WALL-E probably had the same thing happen to him. I think he was the one WALL-E that managed to stay running long enough to not break down like the other ones and develop a sense of consciousness. If you say that they develop consciousness from running too long, it makes sense to me.
I feel like they are more of an allegory for people with both physical and mental disabilities. I mean, they can act and think in a normal way, but not simply.
That could be the case, but most likely it is because when WALL-E escaped the repair ward, he accidentally started playing music, so all the reject bots recognize him because of the music he played when he freed them all, so they follow the music knowing it’s coming from WALL-E.
"Sunday Clothes" is now a theme for all "defective" robots and i love it. Wall-E is a truly perfect film and those who say it's not, are either deniers or never watched it.
I genuinely love how these robots act. They way they play Wall-es favourite music in honor of the robot that liberated them to the fucking massage robot stopping an entire intersection by growling at anyone who went near it is wonderful.
As a kid I always looked at that scene where Wall-E released Han-S as one of the most action packed and hilarious scenes in the movie. Now looking back at it as an adult, you try to look at it from different perspectives. And honestly I love Han-S, but I can’t help but feel bad for the Steward Bots. Imagine if your were on the other end of that things path, that thing would be freaking terrifying. It’s hands are so fast you can hardly see them, its faster than the majority of people, and it’s blood thirsty. That being said, Han-S is probably the most misunderstood robot. There was not really anything wrong with him, he just had to let some anger out. Notice how the second he released it on the Steward Bots, he’s not flailing anymore, and he even attends to a passenger once the whole ship ordeal was done
Oh my god! I crack up every time I see 2:56 and like 3:02! The robot is like: “NO SHUT UP!” *bonks on head* idk why but that is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen 🤣🤣🤣
I don't know why, but I am always touched by how we were actually shown a "crowd of psychopaths" who crave chaotic self-realization and go anywhere for their messiah liberator, although WALL-E probably didn't understand even half of his accidental feat, but they are ready to crush for him and rock him in their arms. The massage robot HAN-S is the most powerful thing in the universe and you can't convince me otherwise
Is that actually its real name?
@@user-fx8rk2jm3w Yes, you can look it up, it is it's model name.
Kinda interesting how Pixar was out of names for robots, so they just went with a German name. Perhaps, in the Wall-E universe the robot was made by a German branch of BnL?
@@Alex_Fishman Or the far simpler alternative...it's a play on 'Hands' because it's a massage bot. HAN-S
@@aljevermeer5214 hm, didn't think of that at first
what about kirby
The massager robot works just fine.. They just needed some stress relieving activity.
...its probably a bad idea, but I kinda want a mini series based off of the reject bots after the movie's end. Like something cute, and as a 'Day Of' episode format. Maybe a little bonding moment here and there.
A short like BURN-E doesn't sound bad honestly.
As a massive fan of these characters, I can safely say that THIS is the idea I've wanted to see on Disney+ for ages.
Thiss. If it wasn't for the constant fear of spin off series being poorly executed (most of the time) i would LOVE to see a mini serie about the robots and the new life on earth in general :(
I’m fully on board with this.
So basically a slice of life series but with robots
I love the berserk massager robot. Of ALL the reject robots, he's my favorite one. Of course I like them all.

The salon bot uses its pre-recorded voice to talk for itself! Like at 2:46 when it goes “oh my” before deflecting a beam, or at 3:26 It goes “you’re kidding!” When it sees wall e and Eve sharing a moment lol. I love the little moments in this movie
2:47
Oh it's one of the only bots with full sentences and it's all pre-recorded stuff, interesting point
Wait, why are so many people saying they didn't realize that? As far as I remember I always knew it, is it really *that* hard to notice?
0:33 no matter how much i watched this, when the bot lose control and start berserking while a chainsaw sound effect is played, makes me on the floor gasping for air

one has to ask, if the reject robots are malfunctioning or have just been on for too long without a memory wipe and have developed a growing sense of self awareness and that is why, at the end, they are able to help wall-e get the plant. and as someone pointed out in the comments, the fighter was able to massage the human normally.
perhaps, the reject robots just wanted to try something new for once and see how they like it?
That might be the case, since WALL-E probably had the same thing happen to him. I think he was the one WALL-E that managed to stay running long enough to not break down like the other ones and develop a sense of consciousness. If you say that they develop consciousness from running too long, it makes sense to me.
The mannequin is on fire
@@quantumblur_3145hey he's trying his best :c
Something tells me the reject bots weren’t actually broken, but just free thinkers
they were the special needs robots
If they're free thinkers, that makes D-FIB a psychopathic murderer (or at best a sociopath)
The mannequin is on fire
I feel like they are more of an allegory for people with both physical and mental disabilities. I mean, they can act and think in a normal way, but not simply.
Whenever WALL-E plays his music player the reject bots start following him. Is it because they like his taste for music?
That could be the case, but most likely it is because when WALL-E escaped the repair ward, he accidentally started playing music, so all the reject bots recognize him because of the music he played when he freed them all, so they follow the music knowing it’s coming from WALL-E.
@@anonwall-efan8067 correct in my opinion, they dont actually recognize it as music, they see it as his battle cry

Same. That’s a pretty nice comparison!
All robots from BNL We're voice by Ben Burtt.
