wait a min...you started raving in 92 and you're blaming the likes of Vibes for the 'split'..which wasn't really taking effect until 2 years later. It was a natural progression for the scene, it couldn't stay on an even keel however much we wanted. The happy DJs catered to those that enjoyed the uplifting piano ideas that had been present even back in 92....you can't point any finger at anyone; the music killed itself because it simply picked up typical commercial interest all round...
I know this comment is 15 years old but if the scene had never split and (let’s face it) ultimately died - we’d be sick to death of it by now. Drum and bass feels like it’s been the same since the early 2000s and I’m bored shitless of it.
100% agreed. DnB is sooooo boring now. Everything that can be done with it HAS been done, and they're just rehashing the same old shite now. Hardcore died because the drugs became shite. It's as simple as that.

Vibes and Lively were the best happy hardcore duo of the 90s! Used to proper tear up the dance floor at Club Kinetic ❤️ And Helter Skelter😜!❤️❤️
