We play hundreds of missions every year, and yet we remember where we were on any given mission that flashes for just a second. This diverse group of people, united under the mantra of 'Serious Fun', has been fun to roll with for the past few years. Here's to more years of Shack Tactical.
Extrapolating from the historical trend, we can look forward to the 2021 Year In Review in 2-3 months, and 2022 before the end of November of this year.
The Cinematography in these clips are by far the best you will find in any Arma video creator period. Many of them literally look like they are out of a Movie they are so Cinematic. Makes it exciting to get in each new session and be apart of what might get recorded next! Cheers to many more years of "Serious Fun" in ShackTac!
The best part is, it's cinematography that isn't staged or prepped. All this is just what naturally occurs in a mission. AAA games with scripted scenes and stuff just feel so empty compared to a good ARMA operation, because you know the experience you're having is unique. There's no walkthroughs of ARMA ops.
It would be so easy to throw together a bunch of ARMA clips from the year and call it there. This is a whole other level. The amount of passion and effort behind these projects shows so well as you get further and further through the video. What a blast 2020 was online, 2021 is already kicking ass. I cant wait to see whats next for Shacktac.

Excellent as always. I've owned Arma3 since 2014, but I've yet to pull my finger out and play some multiplayer especially with the release of Prairie Fire. Last time I played any MP was Arma2 before my son was born in 2011! 😁

ive been watching this channel for as long as i can remember seeing this year in review makes me jealous that i am not one of the members playing and taking part of the ops and missions, having said that to see it all unfold for 15 years is great. The way you have put this footage together is amazing it looks like something straight out of a motive but a billon times better. Although I will more than likely never be a player in your community having been a small part of it AKA enjoying the content you put out is the next best thing as the things you do is great! here's to 15 more years of ShackTac! hopefully ARMA 4 is out before then but the future is great either way!

It's even better when you realize that rolling *right* for an evasion is pretty uncommon for me in an xH-6. There weren't many instances of me doing that over the year - the ones I chose are the bulk of that footage.

Outstanding! Watched every one of these, most twice. Someone needs to teach America about Teamwork. There was a time the Goal mattered, everything else was detrimental to the Team to get the job completed, While at the same time having Serious Fun. I make a similar compilation for my unit and man you come up with great ideas that I wish I did when I made mine. For example, the clips of people asking if X unit is down was actually kind of emotional with the music playing. Being able to manipulate the viewer so much with the footage you have is amazing. Good job.

I watched a lot of S/Tac videos in 2020 which helped distract me from how completely pants a year it was. Especially fun was playing "Guess the map" which I like to think I was quite good at... I wondered just how many of these missions I would recall - it was way more than I expected. Edited with the usual expertise and with complementary music selections. In summary then - "Such wow! Very comedy. Much like."
God I actually said "noo" when I saw the group line up happen. God that was just - Dsl I genuinely don't know how you continue to improve on these YIRs but I am so glad that I can remember a majority of these missions and even when I go back and watch the prior YIRs - it's a flood of memories - and I've just been a watcher. Been watching for 7 years of Serious Fun - I know I'll be watching for another 7.

Thank you soo much sir. Experiencing another 1 month lockdown so been binge watching your videos. Although I doubt i have watched even 5% of your videos, still brought back lots of memories. Was really happy to see that the dance with a tank was included. Only last year I realised that watching with earphones on was the better way coz I really enjoy all the random conversations and radio chatter.

(~1:00).” You responded to whyme943 saying “I don't think I released that. It's on my channel unlisted IIRC, just never pushed the button.” I got the impression from this conversation and from the scene at 26:02, when everyone was on the airfield practicing landing, that you don’t always release/post videos that you have prepared on the channel. If you have a reason for not releasing a video, it doesn’t bother me. I am happy that you post videos for us to enjoy at all. I was just curious if you had a reason for withholding videos, and if you would consider posting new and old unreleased videos on holidays, if such unreleased videos even exist.
It's *really* rare for me to not actually publish one that I've made. That one IIRC I didn't publish because it was more of a raw clip than a typical gameplay situation. I've probably done something like that (not list a video I'd intended to post) fewer than ten times since I started the channel.

I appreciate the "Arma'd" section of this year's review. As frustrating and jank as it is, Arma provides its own comedy at times.
