And the funny thing is, the guy who played Mr. Sheffield is actually British, and he got tons of letters in the beginning telling him to work on his British accent and be more like the guy who played Niles XD

He says, "You got me," but she really didn't? To be honest, that was one thing I didn't like about how they were written. With a relationship that's love-hate like this, it works better if they can both "get" each other. If one is winning all the time it feels more...mean. And Niles sometimes involved the kids in teasing CC, which doesn't seem right, especially since CC didn't have anyone to help her. That turned it into "everyone picks on CC" instead of "Beatrice and Benedick."

Plus, there are three episodes in season 6 where he and CC are "seeing each other" and so blissfully happy they are different people (there is one where CC tells Fran what a great physical relationship she and Niles have)....actually the changes to their personalities take a lot of the wit out of the show. But in the finale they are more like the "old" Niles and CC, although together. I think the finale was actually shown (and perhaps written) before the episodes about their relationship, and there were some inconsistencies, so it felt like two different continuities.
So, he's probably physically stronger than we thought - maybe the lines about him being unfit physically are the same as the jokes about her being ugly - untrue.
You got that right. He was hilarious. He had some of the funniest one liners I've ever heard. They had a list of them on my tablet. The 25 funniest ones. Hysterical.
Banter is one thing, but I didn't like some of the pranks...some of them seemed like he could actually be endangering her. Unless when he says he's done something, he's joking and hasn't really.

I think my favorite is when C.C. asks Niles for tea repeatedly and then when Maxwell walks in Niles offers it to C.C. and she yells at him and Maxwell is appalled.
As I got older I realized that Niles and C.C carried the series. This show wouldn’t have survived very long nor be as memorable if these two didn’t exist.
This was a great show. All of the cast & characters were great. Fran Fresher probably had the best costume wardrobe of any woman in serial television history, to-date.
I read.much ado about nothing on high school. It wasn't until after when I watched reruns of this show that I thought niles and cc reminded me so much of benedick and Beatrice.
I knew about Beatrice and Benedick too, and I knew they were going for something like that. It would have been better if 1) CC had been good at getting him back - he seemed to win all the time (although I sometimes think acting interested in Maxwell was her way of "getting" him) and 2) Benedick and Beatrice did not, as far as I recall, get others involved in picking on the other. Fran and sometimes the kids join in with Niles, which really feels...off. It makes it feel like everybody ganging up on CC, instead of Niles and her going one-on-one.

I say this a lot but these two ending up together made a lot of sense when you think about how they gradually went from hating each other to LOVING that they hate each other. No one else could match their levels.
Niles and CC's rivalry is iconic! They're basically the 90's version of Sue Ann Nivens and Murray Slaughter from Mary Tyler Moore. Btw could you do something with their sparring matches @COZI TV ?
I know we were supposed to see CC as meaner earlier on and "softening up" over the years. But I actually often like her in the early clips, because she does seem...tougher. We see her sometimes really taking charge of the business, and either she "gets" Niles more, or, even if she doesn't, she doesn't seem upset by things she does. Because they used a stay at a mental health "place" to cover the actress' maternity leave, they had her be really upset by Niles in late season 5...but then they went back to how they were before, where it seemed more like a game.
