@@ABucc R&D does require quite a lot of money and time. They will set the price where people will buy it. If you don’t like it, vote with your wallet and don’t buy it.
@sjeffy5137 I never said I didn't like it, I just don't think any shoe is worth almost $400 dollars. Seems like Puma is using the same strategy that Adidas used with the Evo Pro by reeling in people to buy their shoes by making a limited amount. It's a marketing tactic, nothing more, nothing less.
@sjeffy5137 I never said I didn't like it, I just don't think any shoe is worth that much. Seems like Puma is using the same marketing strategy as Adidas did with the Evo Pro by making a limiting amount to reel in customers who get influenced easily. I don't need to vote with my wallet, I just shop sensible.
Nike has actually done that for a lot of their flagship performance shoes and it shows lol. To be fair they were concept images and they said they used ai to make them but they didn’t look like actual shoes they would make. Especially considering Eliud Kipchoges shoe didn’t have a heel!!! lmao
Way more money goes into manufacturing and research in cycling considering the mediums. In reality some Vietnamese made that show for 10$. Not much of a risk for them.
As a pure forefoot striker, I’d love to try this out. Is the upper lace less? With the fit PUMA gets on some shoes that could make lockdown interesting. 😅
Eventually world records are going to be beaten by some average runners using superheroes that are banned in official races. There's going to be more of a gap between "world records" and "fastest under all conditions".
So THIS is how you make a shoe with Alphafly "Air" tech w/o getting sued into oblivion by Nike who likely has air pods locked behind so many patents nobody dares risk mimicking. So swap out air pods for foam pods, and to be extra safe, they've sandwiched the foam pods between 2 TPU plates to further differentiate their design from Nike to ensure no patent suit is filed.
What's even the point of all that heel material? This is clearly made for mid-foot striking, so all that heel is just excess weight hanging off. I'd get the dremel out
I really wanted to get them, since i am running and my old knee have a bit of difficulty, a bit sad it's not a product produce in higher number, since it also help runner to run the good way (tip of the toe and not on the heel) Please make more, I think you have a great idea and product here for the running community.
Spend money on performance not just the looks Not going 2mph faster than other brands You been scammed Lied too America is looking for speed shoes increase there average by 5mph
If I run in this , the shoe police will have me in handcuffs and tazed - I love how weekend warriors are gonna lose thier shit over the shoe being "illegal"
i like this, new to running so wouldn't make the most of this shoe but i like the idea of it being the best running shoe they can make without being locked in to rules for pro running events.
I take it you know that's a spring that pushes you up, and if you turned it around it would actually boost you forward. you know, like a prosthetic running blade.
when you say "you" do you mean the company puma, the reporter, the inerviewee or just a random commenter? I'll bite - Weight is about 8 oz, stack high is at least 40 mm and the drop is like its hot
I love brands taking risks like this and just making whatever the hell they want to.
Yes!
And also making up whatever price they want to.

Oh man. I thought that leaked photo was just an AI generated joke image. Haha

dayum puma is cooking, excited for the deviate 3 lineups.
That shoe is so cool looking. Hafta organize races specific to the shoe now, eh
What a monstruosity....
I need this shoe in my life
What will you use it for?
i'll use it for my daily run if i get a hold of it 😂
where can I buy
price?
400 bucks!! Have a word with yourself Todd
To be fair with Todd, he's doing many things but most likely not working on prices ;-) I agree with you though: it's insane
i mean most supershoes are already in the 300+ so this still fair game 😂
Yes. It will certainly unique and limited.
How to purchase this shoe can you share the link
399.99
Just don’t step in💩. You’ll be cleaning for a while ⏰
Not even possible to get a pair of these..
I believe its going a bit too far now.
not far enough
400 dollars for a non legal race shoe? Hell no
these are definitely illegal
The fuck
100$ tops, sorry
Waaaay too cheap. You can't even find vapor files for 100.
Coming from the cycling community, it's a relief to see a product that doesn't care about commissioned competition.
i really like ISM saddles and wished its way shorter than it is , but they have to give it unecessary length just so that its UCI compliant
Way more money goes into manufacturing and research in cycling considering the mediums. In reality some Vietnamese made that show for 10$. Not much of a risk for them.
Good on Puma for just doing their own thing. I'd definitely want to try these beasts.
Same here ;-)
This is sick. Love to see a company prioritizing fun and new experiences over competition rulesets.
Puma is that student at the back who does not care about the teacher's rules but is the most fun student in class.
Waste my time watching this when he said that price under little under $400 and limited 😑
The customer is always right... unless they chose to recover in this shoe.
Hehehehehe, I’ve almost spit out the rice I’m eating.
Then the customer is an idiot for trying to recover in this shoe.
@@sepg5084 guy in green actually said it can be used for recovery run 😂
So basically, it's a combo of the pods from the Alphafly, the plate setup from the Prime X2, and the midsole outline of the Rebellion Pro.
I also own a pair of Nike Air Superrep 2 that look almost exactly like these but those are made for high intensity impact training (HIIT)
Thats the best description!

The Fast R V2 was awful and felt as clunky as it looks. I took it back at 100 miles.
How much does it weigh? Energy Return has a point of diminishing return. Weight actually becomes a more important factor then.
That looks awesome to me. Well done Puma!
Is it just me, I think it looks horrible

Probably part of this design is indeed "how to make it IP-proof" - the rest is vision and genius I guess ;-)
Looks like made of Meringue😂
Dude, eat a sandwich, jeez...
"A little" under $400? Wow.
Amputate your legs above the knee and become Blade Runner. This is the end game anyway - human 2.0 with a Neuralink implant and many other 'upgrades'.
I like Puma's shoes, but for some reason they just don't sell the full range here in Canada. What's with that?
I do not know but maybe @PUMA sees this and can comment?
they used to sell pretty much "all range/models" in Canada but since a few months its very limited .. i don't know what happened, weak sales ?
Perfecto for those consumers who jumped to buy the Adidas Prime X 2 and there were many. Not me but there is a growing market so good job Puma.
Indeed!
Its like a sport car.

Lied too
America is looking for speed shoes increase there average by 5mph
Insanely cool!!!!! Would love to have this!
I do not like this technological progress. Lot of synthetic materials and the sneakers will one day end up on the landfill.
This looks a lot like that nike % was banned from Olympic comp a few years ago. I like it but be careful PUMA. You are my second favorite shoe company
What's the favorite one?
If they were sub $150 I would have purchased
Keep making shoes that weaken your natural foot function 😂
Running shoes ❌
Ankle breaking shoes ✅
I want to see the Deviate Nitro 3...I'm sure they have them hidden down there...
It was in Paris yesterday, yes.
we already passed February 24 I don't see the shoe available anywhere
It is releasing later this year, it was postponed
So basically pogo-shoes…
As long as u dont win marathon u can wear this 😂
If this comes out, I’m trying it.
Show me the shoe while running with it
Where can i buy those shoes?
I want ❤
over priced by $300
He said the release will be on February 2024? 🤔🤔🤔
i want to eat it
Have to see an on foot video of this. Interesting design.
If I run in this , the shoe police will have me in handcuffs and tazed - I love how weekend warriors are gonna lose thier shit over the shoe being "illegal"
Some Gatorade to it
Puma has entered the primeX market 😂 too bad if they stick with that price and being limited in production.
Sounds great for recovery, or for people like me who has a muscular issue and needs help
Epic
WTF?! 🤣
Bring Puma to Romania too!
Hope PUMA sees this!
Prix
i like this, new to running so wouldn't make the most of this shoe but i like the idea of it being the best running shoe they can make without being locked in to rules for pro running events.
So,where we can buy it from ?
It's not available yet, but we'll make sure to share the details once it is.
Did he mean 2025? I can't find this shoe anywhere at the moment.
I’m more curious about the elite 3, are those launching soon?
Yes relatively soon ;-)
Bet they'll be $50 more than the 2s and not quite as good
The BQ’ers are gonna love this.
But can you turn right while wearing these??
I take it you know that's a spring that pushes you up, and if you turned it around it would actually boost you forward.
you know, like a prosthetic running blade.
that said, they'd be great for flik-flaks
I thought Red Bull sponsored this lol
I’ll stick to the new Wemby 1s coming out soon
They are concepts they are not gonna be released
RB means Rule Breaker.
Neat
Ultra Racing😂😂
This is going beyond the usual...loved this design.
Looks VERY INTERESTING!!
Do you now weight, stack high and drop?
when you say "you" do you mean the company puma, the reporter, the inerviewee or just a random commenter? I'll bite - Weight is about 8 oz, stack high is at least 40 mm and the drop is like its hot
@@charlesxavier8640 thank you very much for your answer!
Nice Interview Ceb
😂😂😂😂

Fantastic! I like this shoe!
This shoe is a lil ugly, but an insane piece of gear
Would be really interesting to see what Kofuzi says when he tries it
Same here! @Kofuzi, if you read this, you know what's left to do ;-)
Running, a sport only the wealthy will be able to afford. What’s wrong with the world!
Id like to see the weight of the shoes. Double-plated shoes are really fun to run in but they tend to be too heavy
