Great video. My Dad left me a 1930 Model A and it has been hard trying to find information about fixing the different things that are not working. Appreciate you & your Dad taking the time to share. :)

Guys - can't thank you enough for the video - when I opened the back cover - springs and parts went flying everywhere - never would have had a chance without your step by step - many thanks

That is so cool seeing how they were able to manufacture all of those tiny "precision" parts back then. Very cool to see how it actually works as well. Thanks a bunch for sharing. I would love to learn more about the old school fords

Dude.... thank you dad for taking the time to teach us young wipper snappers! Without his treasured knowledge, us younger gear heads would be lost!!!

Thanks for video. I have the wiper motor apart on my Model A coupe awaiting rebuild kit to arrive . My father was an auto mechanic back in the day and I have a 1/4" drive Snap -On socket that is for those rectangular headed screws.

It is amazing to see how things were engineered way back in the early 20th century.

Nice video..good to know there are people around with knowledge. i did noticed that you left out two important parts, the parts and position of the pull switch and the rebuilding of the paddle, otherwise nice job.

funny part is here in U.S people claims to care about the enviroment ,its "greener" rebuilding parts instead of making complete new ones, mechanic labor is so expensive that at times is better to buy a new car than rebuilt your engine or transmission.

What skill!! Excellent detail of what to do ... and superb camera work. I have a Trico 404G (very similar to this Model A wiper motor but for a 1940 Chev truck). I have the gaskets but wondering where to get a full re-build kit including the small fiber piece (called a Rocker Home) - seen at the 7 minute mark of the video. My fiber piece broke. Any help would be great! Thanks. Warren in Canada.

I actually have a tool for the bolts with the odd head. It was in a military jeep wiper rebuild kit. It's really nothing more that a steel tube that has been squashed to the same shape as the screw heads.

Cool little gadget. Should last another half century. BTW are you guys planning to refinishing the paint job on the motor or leaving it as is?

It's kind of amazing it took them another 50 years to come up with the intermittent wiper.

In the 1970s labor was cheap here..If I remember correctly labor rate was around $12 hr in 1973 when I worked at Toyota.. As with all else things have skyrocketed here..

only in U.S they dont, Mechanic hour labor its not cheap , in most countries they rebuilt almost everything. Mexico average mechanic hour of labor is less than 15 dollars.
