I worked there for a year recently. The shift leader is absolutely crushed by everyone even by other shift managers. Nothing is done by the opening shift leader or GM and the closing shift leader literally deals with a substantial amount of chaos. I literally had to do a full inspection of what was done and not done and what I have and don’t have. It was extremely hard to train production workers to do anything at all cause everyone had an excuse to not do anything. “Oh it’s too heavy I can’t do it”, “it gives me anxiety to make pizzas, cut table, register”, “I can’t do dishes cause I have a skin condition”, “I’m exhausted I have kids”, “I don’t have to do that cause I have kids”, “you know I have kids so I get to be on the phone for 45 minutes in the bathroom”, “I’m gonna run this store to ground and blame everyone so you send me to a brand new clean store”, “I just got out of prison”, “calling in? You gotta find someone to cover your shift”.. on and on and on. No one takes accountability in the modern work force in general. It’s mainly crossing everyone for a financial/promotional gain and nothing to do with sustaining the business. Customers are also very aggressive and as a “shift leader” you had to maintain order with employees and customers which was hard to do because most workers don’t want to be there and the insanely bad reputation so you’re constantly accused of wronging people. I even learned more Spanish to communicate with the door dash drivers so they would actually have an idea when the food was ready and mentioned all the items on the order so they can earn that tip. No matter how much I did to fix a store they wanted me to clean up an another poorly managed store. I declined most of the time, but got pressured by a GM I liked and I said temporary. 2 months gone by and I quit. Picking up everyone’s slack isn’t in the job description. Should’ve kept at the store I was maintaining instead of me cleaning up after greedy and selfish, entitled employees. GMs and shift leads often pocketed tips as well. So if you did have access to the register someone is pocketing like 20 to 120 dollars depending on the night. It’s a terrible environment. The whole thing right now is to crush the shift leader so the production can get away with lying and doing nothing and gms or higher ups focus on their automated checks for also not doing nothing. I’ve had shifts where people just show up when they feel like it or the entire team quit the next day. It’s ridiculous for a really easy job if staffed and trained turned into emotional war zone because it’s always the shift leads fault. As a shift lead I got tired of doing like 4 jobs. And can’t get a person to focus on just one work station or help clean anything. Other big problem. Cell phone in the workplace. Customers weaponize food reviews and service to just get free crap. Employees want free food then wonder why there’s no hours. “Dude I don’t owe any of people anything”. Crappy staff and crappy customers. It’s more of an interrogation camp than a business cause even the higher ups make nothing about everything cause they “watched” the cameras. My eyes, “get your ass down here and restore balance of order you greedy pig!”
They should start using fresh ingredients again. The pizza is just not the same as it was in the early 2000’s. The breadsticks, on the other hand, are still delicious as I remember them.
I remember Pizza Hut Buffets in the late 80s and the 90s and even the early 2000s. Man, Pizza Hut in those days couldn't do no wrong. The buffet was an experience. Who remembers the red plastic cups? Yo, the soda hit different out those cups. The brownie pizza and the arcade there, man, these young kids missed a whole era. And can't forget getting a free Pan Pizza for reading books in school. Got aplenty of Pan Pizzas that way. Greed will kill your business faster than a bad economy ever will. In this day and age, I go to the mom and pop pizza spots for really good pizza.
I miss the lunch buffets a lot. I used to go there often. Now the two locations near me are closed and replaced with a single pickup and delivery location only. No more sit down buffet. A shame. The company is being run into the ground.
@LoveClassicMusic0205 Tell me about it!! So many great memories from eating at Pizza Hut buffets over the years. My homeboys and I, whether we played soccer or skateboarding afterward, would always eat there. Ate there for my 13th birthday in '97 on the same day my Chicago Vulls won their fifth NBA title.
@@LoveClassicMusic0205 dining rooms are going the way of ALL storefront shopping.... online ordering. turnaround in a sitdown family style place HAS to stay under 20 minutes in most markets, to keep profitability ratios high enough to barely cover labor expenses. rent. rent. rent. the property taxes on square footage for businesses is pretty damn steep too !
I think one of the biggest problems for corporate America is Greed, plain and simple, The amount of money that is being paid out to the CEO's and upper management these days, then these companies have to take care of the stock holders, prices go sky high, and it just starts the domino effect, and business goes to pot !!!
Agreed !! How can you expect people to keep coming back, when every time they do the price has gone up or a topping that used to be standard is now considered extra. And the employees are always leaving, due to low wages. Yet on the news , it's regular to hear of upper management leaving with golden parachutes. Of millions of $. Then the next thing you hear is they're in financial difficulties DUH!!!
Why do you guys think that a franchise Pizza Hut is a large company. It's a small business owned by a franchisee. They don't get help from corporate and have to run the location as a stand-alone. They just buy the ingredients from corporate. Come on now.
Lower quality, poor treatment of employees, and higher prices = fail. The CEOs won’t care though, they will receive a severance package worth several million dollars.
I'm done with Pizza Hut. Their pizza was good back in the 80's and 90's, now it's lousy. Scarce cheese and toppings, employees don't give a crap. Never again will you get my money.
They were making so much money in the 80s. Had fresh dough made in store. Everything on their salad bar. Closed doors 10pm. Then excel spreadsheet was invented and corporate computer monitored everything to save as many pennies as possible. Cut amount of dough. Cut amount of cheese. Cut service hours. Cut salad bar selections. Lower product quality, same price. Customers left. As customers left, so did the money. Doesn't take a college degree in business to see what went wrong, but apparently it does take one to create this mess. moral of the story: Business is about people. When you remove humanity from the equation, it falls a part.
This is true but we should also note the advent of delivery services like Postmates, Grubhub and DoorDash meant that there was also a lot more competition. Not to mention changing tastes from consumers who wanted a wider variety of dishes meant less pizzas overall being ordered.
And now that they've shot themselves in the foot over the last several decades, its too late to go back. People just dont associate any kind of quality, or entertainment with Pizza Hut anymore.
100% truth. Corporate freaks out if one of their ground level employees puts so much as an extra 0.5 ounces of cheese onto the pizza than the recipe called for. Pinching pennies to burn c-notes.
I worked for a pizza chain in the '70s. We made fresh dough using a huge mixer. With the fabulous resources we had, I made some of the best pizzas anyone ever ate! We had fresh ingredients, 4 beautiful deck ovens, I cooked my teen-age a$$ off each weekend...and...was satisfied because people loved the food. 🤗Good memories.
The delivery apps only pay $2 as base pay for delivery (DD GH UE) if the delivery charge is more than that, then it goes to restaurant and also the delivery apps. If using delivery apps, tip the drivers directly. Its the only real way to know they got your tip..
Kind of amusing. Just makes me want to shop at small businesses that much more and avoid greedy corporations like Walmart and Pizza hut. They can kiss it😂
I know this is a dumb reason for stopping eating there, but I used to order online and drive up and pick up my pizza. That was great. Then one day I went online to order a pizza and when I was going to check out it asked me to leave a tip. I was floored. I didn't speak to anyone, I was going to pick the pizza up myself, and you are asking me to pay more? Just pay the cook more money, why should it be my responsibility to pay the cook more money? That was like 4 years ago lol, never ate Pizza Hut since.
@thenerdnetwork The whole tipping thing is out of hand. I went to the Subway drive thru not to long ago. I handed the cashier my card to swipe and she put her hand up to stop me. she then handed me the gizmo so I could swipe it myself, which I thought odd. It made sense real fast when it prompted me for a tip! I don't think so!
@jadedheartsz Believe me, I am SOOO over myself. Do you tip at every place that prompts you for it? Do you tip at Subway? I agree "those people need money to live" but it is not my responsibility, it is their employers.
I think that Pizza Hut is making a huge mistake by considering dine-in to be a liability. The fact is, it is something unique that they have that none of their major competitors have. With the right people in charge, the right attitude, and the right plan, they might be able to turn that 'liability' into an asset.
@@DavidLLambertmobile Papa Johns and Pizza Hut are both disgusting slop. Last time I had Papa Johns it tasted like a cheap Walmart frozen pizza and Pizza Hut was a greasy mess. Only fast food places that come close to decent are Sbarro and Papa Gino's but I'll stick to Mom & Pop pizza places.
Agree! Pizza Hut recently changed a sour dough formula for their crust and it was NOT a good change. Or, it least, the franchise owner did that in my area.
Thats that frozen dough. Its not hard to make fresh dough, either. Its the push for that corporate consistency between all locations that really drops the quality. They try to make it easy for all the wage slave employees to be able to pump out the same pizza at any location.
So, do you want to know why that fantastic family owned pizza place is still, since way back in the early 1950's is still working today? It's because they never changed the recipe. I managed a Pizza Hut in the early 1970's. When the brothers sold out, for some reason, the various companies that followed thought, "gotta get with the times." Huge mistake. Stick to the original and would be big bucks today.
The local Dominoes got rid of their dining area and simply expanded their production space to double down on take out/delivery. Meanwhile, the Pizza hut around here moved locations from a traditional Pizza Hut hut building into a strip mall. where Papa Johns used to be at.
I was an Assistant Manager at the Richboro, PA location (now long gone) for 2 years back in my college days (late 70s). We dough fresh daily from scratch. Fresh sauce daily as well. Quality toppings. Clean salad bar. Draft beer. Juke box. We had oven-baked pasta items too, such as our Cavatelli dishes. No screwy dessert items or seasonal gimmicks. We didn't have delivery at all; you sat down and ate there, or to a much lesser extent, picked up yourself. Those were the glory days. Now pizza is looked at as a delivery or carry-out food, not a sit-down meal. It's become quasi-fast-food. Pizza Rut.
So, minimum wage is $20/hr, $13 pizza somehow costs $30 by time it's delivered, the quality and quantity of the ingredients haven't improved, and poor customer service... ...I have no idea why pizza hut might go out of business. SMH
It isn't that they're overpaying workers. It's because the company refuses to take a single penny in lost profit. They could afford to pay them more than $20 but they never will.
@visceratrocar I guess I half agree. I 100% agree if the staff was spectacular and some deserve every penny and more, however, the vast majority don't deserve more pay for simply showing up. Also, just because a business can afford to pay more doesn't mean they should be forced to pay more.
Something also needs to be done with uber eats/delivery drivers. Most are honest hard working people, but some are just nasty people who can't take a break and eat their own food and instead decide to pick up on some of yours. They started sealing food and making package more voluminous, but not all places seal food properly, like Pizza Hut, where they may place the seal on either edge but not both. The grossness of having a missing slice and a bitten one is by far my worst experience having food. Never coming back to that location, lost my desire for the brand Hut and picking up my own food as much as I can. As for regular pizza delivery drivers, they seem upset no matter how much you tip them. I'd rather pick the mile away carry out than having an awkward moment for a few dollars. Its just a $20 pizza from a mile away....
Quality, quality, quality. Hell, they don't even cook the deeppan pizza long enough to give it a crispy crust anymore. Just soft dough. From delicious thirty years ago to awful today. That's why.
I had a pizza at Pizza Hut the other day and it was the most fantastic pizza I have had since the 80’s . Unfortunently, I was in Vietnam at the time. How come a company can make a perfect pizza in Vietnam, but can’t in the US? Pizza Hut could turn themselves around if they went back to what made them famous, great pizza.
When I was in highschool, graduated in 78, The Hut was the place to go. Only thin crust without all the fru-fru. It's been downhill ever since. Last time I got Pizza Hut was about 15 years ago and it sucked. In my town, we had a Pizza Hut restaurant, but it became carry-out only. That closed about a year ago. However, we gained a Mom n Pop pizzeria that's waaay better than Pizza Hut. Cheers from Tennessee
Where I live it's $50 for two large hand-tossed supreme pizzas from Pizza Hut. I can get the exact same thing at a nearby Pizzaria in Lenlock for $30. I have zero incentive to buy from these people.
There's literally no reason to go to a PH if there are ANY other options out there. Domino's is better in price and quality. LC kills them on value. Even PJ's has there "quality ingredients" schtick and the garlic sauce. Heck even frozen pizza is either cheaper and/or better. Not to mention the smaller pizza places like Marco's, Mod, Blaze, etc. They are the McDonald's of pizza, but with fewer advantages.
I have eaten PH for many years having grown up in the founding city of Wichita. Their pizza was amazing the only game in town until they sold out to PepsiCo. It has been going downhill since. I cannot eat i t any more. It makes me ill.
1) they went cheap on the ingredients like most meats are now chicken/turkey based, very little beef/pork in them now. 2) the pzone was great, just needed option to customize the toppings in it 3) the new melts are cooked way too long and the bread is super crispy ruining it 4) dominoes and little ceasars doing really cheap options, and pizza hut doesnt have the flavor to beat competitors prices 5) no option for medium size stuffed crust pizzas. and their large stuffed crust is smaller as all they do is fold over the crust edge making you lose size.
Once I saw that their "pizzas" are now frozen breadstick Dough with toppings over it, this camed as no surprise. No buffet anymore $3 soda servings...no Quality at all. Even their pastas and garlic bread are now frozen, nothing fresh. 💀
Doesn't help that more and more Pizza Hut and fast food employees look like they were just released from jail , kicked out of a drug treatment facility or crawled out of a gutter. Disgusting!!!
A lot of them are felons and/or tweaker. I knew a lady who was hired on the spot as a manger and she was an alcoholic with like 7 DUIs and 4 arrests. They dropped the quality of their employees when they dropped the quality of the product.
It what managers are taught to do to drivers is cash them out when they are on their way back to the store, then dispatch them on their next order and have them do odd jobs while waiting for their order to come up. Pizza Hut has to pay wages for drivers, one is mini wage while in store and one is waiter wages while on a drivlery. It's illegal to do this and when I called them out for doing it as a manager I was fired, but I wasn't fired for that but claimed I left work during my shift and refused to come back. they sent me home because I hurt my arm the day before and said I wasn't able to do my job. told me I needed a doctor's note to come back, which they denied to unemployment. was a long legal battle. this was NPC
no great loss. Frozen grocery store pizza is better. They opened several of them over the decades in my home town and every time they went out of business after scraping by for about 3-5 years each. No idea why they kept trying.
Man, listen... Pizza Hut was the lick during the '90s. See, I have a lot of warm memories attached to Pizza Hut. On Friday and Saturday nights, my parents would take me to Pizza Hut and we'd order two pizzas. I'd order a large, obnoxious cheese pizza w/ extra, extra, extra cheese and my parents would order a combination. I needed the cheese to kinda overlap the doggon crust. Oh man, it was fantastic. After dinner, we'd breeze on over to the arcade house and basically lose all of my dad quarters on "Mortal Kombat" and "Skreet Fighter." After the mid aughts, eh. Either my taste buds changed or the pizzas just weren't hittin' like they were years prior. The pizzas became flat and oily and they deep dish turned type soggy - like kinda mushy. Eh, oh well. No love lost. I do not eat fast food no more so I'm not really trippin'. Imma just hold on to my lil' warm memories and keep it pushin'.
Once Pizza Hut did away with there real pizza ovens and went over to a conveyor system, to bad toppings, cheeses, crust, and no more dining in it was game over. Now it's so bad you don't know if it will be cooked or not.
Quality has plummetted since the mid 00's. Pizza Hut used to have THE best pizza, literally melt in uour mouth epicness. That was shirt lived and damn do I miss it.
Pizza Hut was so good in 90s and early 2000s! I had it this year and it is just "Mid" at best now. They did have lemon pepper fries which were pretty decent.
They changed their sause to the point that it was in edible. WHY WOULD ANYONE BUY A FOOD THAT WAS TOO HORRIBLE TO EAT? I quit going or ordering from them more than a decade ago.
Its weird! For a long time, I would go to Pizza Hut NOT for their pizza, but for their dessert and boneless wings because they were a pretty good deal! But since they got rid of the pick 2 for 5 bucks menu, I havent been back. Every item they sell now is at least 7 bucks and not worth that! 7 bucks for 10 cinnabon mini rolls!? NAH!! Even the sodas were a good price. 4 for 5 bucks and now its even more!
Pizza Hut needs to go back to its roots that was a goto location that you either took a date to or planned a family outing to. It used to be a better quality pie and salad bar, rewards for high grades for children, occasionally live music, good music, pleasant surroundings, an inviting environment, and with service with a smile by a pleasant waitress. I tell you that the concept of Pizza Hut being a carryout or a delivery jount violated everything I held in asteme with Pizza Hut! PIZZA HUT NEEDS TO GO BACK TO BEING A DESTINATION THAT CUSTOMERS WOULD MAKE PLANS TO GOTO!!!
I worked there almost 20 years ago. Before smartphones in a wealthy neighborhood. Rich people loved their pizzahut delivery. I bet smartphones ruined it. And fresh what. thats crazy lol
I want these constantly greedy shareholders spend a day behind the bar. I worked at Starbucks. I used to love the concept, the idea behind the siren. What I used to deal with was… constantly shortstaffed, trying to train new employees while also serving customers because “you can’t waste milk and coffee, or close the store for an hour to train new people because it increases costs”. Or increasing prices constantly while my wage was increased with 0,5cents. Keep in mind that this was in Europe where labour laws are supposed to be stricter. I just wonder, why you need so enormous amount of money?
I always loved Pizza Hut, deep dish, PAN pizza. But the last couple of pizzas I got from them. I had special request to cook it a little bit longer to add pepperoni. None of what I wanted was done and that was several different pizza huts. They don't cook to order. They cook the way they want to cook it.
The few times I ate at my local Pizza Hut all of the crusts were virtually tasteless. It wasn't a problem with my taste buds because I had no problem tasting the other ingredients except for any of those on any of the items I ordered.
When you get it fresh from the oven their stuffed crust pizza is not too awful. The pan pizza is nowhere near as good as it used to be and forget about the rest. It still tastes pretty good in Europe and Canada though.
When we first moved to our new town before the pandemic we went to Pizza Hut. It was really bad back then. Only went one more time. Haven't been there since end of 2020.
Is it just me or is something a bit wrong with the audio commentary part? It almost sounds like the microphone gain is too high or something. The news clips they played sound completely normal.
no franchise is lucrative , theres to many pockets to fill and nothing left for owners. especially now with how expensive life is , for the price of one pizza i can make lunches for work for 1-2 weeks depending on what i make
The PH by my house went down in quality both the food and service I haven’t been there in like 3yrs. Last time i tried to take advantage of a deal which was 1 large pizza and a medium pizza for a good price at the time but when i got there they ran out of it apparently and instead gave me a square shaped pizza offer and said it did equal to 2 large pizzas. I don’t know if that’s legal but it certainly wasn’t cool for them to do that
It's kind funny that I'm seeing this, because the 7-Eleven in my neighborhood closed down and all of a sudden a few months after it closed, a Pizza Hut sign was put up; an actual Pizza Hut sign installed. It was also accompanied by a banner that says "opening soon". I was like, is this for real?! A new Pizza Hut opening while it's in complete decline looks like a disaster. Whoever franchised it is going to lose a lot of money.
Pizza Hut tasted better in the '80s when I was a kid. As time went on the quality went down. I wondered if they're pre-made or switched cheaper Ingredients. They're deep dish pizza is my favorite pizza of theirs, but I've had better ones elsewhere. I don't eat there as much anymore.
Does anybody remember Pizza Hut in the 80s, when you went into the restaurant and sat down, and they would give you a great pan pizza, with a lot of toppings? Those were great times. They used a lot of cheese, and they weren’t shy with the toppings.when we order now we have to make sure we ask, could you put enough toppings on it.. they leave the toppings far from the crust of the pizza, and in Canada where I live, pizza is really expensive. There’s so much competition nowadays, that there’s nothing that makes them stand out. In the 80s it was really special to go out and have a pizza! It’s a shame, because I really like Pizza Hut!
Everywhere I travel, I always get my pizza from a local mom and pop joint that has been around for a very long time and is are a favorite with locals. Shout out to Mauro's pizza Hollywood Florida, Famous Joe's in Greenwich village NYC/Wynwood Miami, Pendelli's Montreal, Quebec and too many local joints from Fort Lee to Wildwood NJ serving NJ white cheese !
I'm not a fan of Pizza Hut and in a pinch it's the Hut over Dominoes. I like my own homemade pizza the most. I'm a native NYer and grew up on the best pizza in the USA.
I miss the Pizza Hut sit down restaurant. I got a pizza from them yesterday and the taste wasn't there. I used to love their pizza and pasta dishes. Seems like they've gone downhill.
The best thing about Pizza Hut (at least in Australia) is when they do $1 Wings Wednesday and have cheap wings. Otherwise, their pizzas are generally poor value compared to other fast food options.
Pizza Hut of my day was way better when they had the family style restaurant to sit in and enjoy their food. Which by the way was a better quality product. IMOP
Pizza Hut's good days were decades ago. I tried them a few years ago because I felt nostalgic for a personal pan pizza. What a disappointment! The crust was doughy and the toppings tasted like something from a "low fat" section of the store.
Pizza Hut should go under, but the competition is as bad or worse. People will either have to stop getting pizza, change to an equally bad chain or costlier local brand, or just accpet what they are offered. History says that they will continue to buy from Pizza Hut. They might start making their own, but that is also expensive and, more to the point, time consuming.
Here is what could happen. New CEO maybe a new board. Then mandate non frozen dough and never frozen veggies because veggies are enjoyed fresh. This high increase in costs may cause ripple effects and may need to close stores, reduce operating expenditures and capital expenses in other areas. We just need new management and decision makers. Stock holders, private equity, hedge funds, and brokerages. Please vote and bring this great company back into business into the hut. Been out in the rain for too long... Yum! brands has successful subsidiaries such as KFC, Taco Bell, and Habit Burger and Grill. It sucks that Pizza Hut is the worst performing in the Yum! brands portfolio. The company states that it is the world's largest restaurant company... Habit>Taco Bell>KFC>Pizza Hut
Yes.!!! I am 100% done with Pizza Hut! So many things here is so accurate. I can’t deal with how small the pizza has gotten and how ridiculously expensive the price is. INSANE!!! It makes absolutely no sense. I am disgusted by the cost. And yes, I am always having problems with their app. I don’t care about Pizza Hut anymore. Obviously they don’t care about their Customers, so why should we care?! 🙄Good. Happy and glad to see that they will be forced out of the business the industry soon because of their own problem. These corporations are in their own way. Pizza Hut is not worth it
Little Caesars is the worst for this. I don't think I've ever had a fully baked pizza from them, and that's when you tell them to bake it well done. Totally agree, soggy crust is the biggest pizza turnoff. Everything else can be pretty bad but the crust at least has to be there.
Pizza hut has been garbage for years. In the 90s their Caesar salad had real bacon in it it wasn't just lettuce and came with pre-packaged dressing. And they change the recipe of their pizza it's not the same
They lost it decades ago. Now all we got in major chains are shitty dominos and papa John's, which both suck. Eat local people it's more bang for the buck
I don't know what happened to PH... they used to be good. The last time we got a pizza from there is was REALLY cheap (quality wise) I mean the sauce was like spray painted on the pizza.... it's a total rip off now. I would rate their pizza lower than little cesears.... just yuck!!!
Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell were purchased by the Yum Corporation at least in my area and they have all made each brands food far worse ! I never buy Pizza Hut it's horrible in my area and Taco Bell is sad as well. KFC I won't even bother talking about how they screwed up that franchise. If Dell Taco would come here we would never hear Taco Bell mentioned again !
Pizza hut is just too expensive compared to what you get, smallersizes, and poor quality toppings. Other places have better food lwith larger portion sizes, at lower prices, I know ingredients are more expensive, but if the food can't keep up with the demand, I will gsomewhere else, 50 to 😍 50$ and not nearly enough to stretch it to more than two people. for r pizza delivered is way too expensive for a family of two, forget a family of four. A family could go out to a food chain restaurant, order from the sale menu, get waited on, and have zero clean up for less than the price of Pizza or other menu items.
Lets just make minim wage $40.00 an hour, and make it so you can't get fired of be laid off and they have to give you 40 hours a week. That will fix it. oh and they can not raise prices.
What do you think Pizza Hut should do to save its business?

@LoveClassicMusic0205 Tell me about it!! So many great memories from eating at Pizza Hut buffets over the years. My homeboys and I, whether we played soccer or skateboarding afterward, would always eat there. Ate there for my 13th birthday in '97 on the same day my Chicago Vulls won their fifth NBA title.
Imo the local mom and pop stores have always been better then corporate pizza spots.
Yeah the buffet was awesome.
Agreed. Let them all go out of business.
the domino effect is that what happens when you eat dominos pizza? lol
Why do you guys think that a franchise Pizza Hut is a large company. It's a small business owned by a franchisee. They don't get help from corporate and have to run the location as a stand-alone. They just buy the ingredients from corporate. Come on now.
"it just starts the DOMINO effect" indeed I agree
Lower quality, poor treatment of employees, and higher prices = fail. The CEOs won’t care though, they will receive a severance package worth several million dollars.
I'm done with Pizza Hut. Their pizza was good back in the 80's and 90's, now it's lousy. Scarce cheese and toppings, employees don't give a crap. Never again will you get my money.
Domino's is better. If I want a chain pizza, that's where I go!!
To me, Domino's is different regionally. It sucks where I live.
Took you long enough OP. I haven't ordered anything from there in over 12 years.
Exactly!
I get frozen pizza and I have a pizza oven. It costs less, is better depending on what you buy, and faster.
Wow if I would've read the comments I could've saved time! Well said!
Delivery charge is $6 alone. And it’s not for a tip. What is it for then.
for the business. the employee never sees it.
The delivery apps only pay $2 as base pay for delivery (DD GH UE) if the delivery charge is more than that, then it goes to restaurant and also the delivery apps. If using delivery apps, tip the drivers directly. Its the only real way to know they got your tip..
Its amazing how these rich shareholders would rather go out of business than take less as individuals.
Kind of amusing. Just makes me want to shop at small businesses that much more and avoid greedy corporations like Walmart and Pizza hut. They can kiss it😂
they only care about short term gains.
@thenerdnetwork
The whole tipping thing is out of hand. I went to the Subway drive thru not to long ago. I handed the cashier my card to swipe and she put her hand up to stop me. she then handed me the gizmo so I could swipe it myself, which I thought odd. It made sense real fast when it prompted me for a tip! I don't think so!
@@bunkyman8097 oh come on those people need money to live, get over yourselves.

We had papa Murphys recently, they improved since a few years ago. They did increase in price from years ago but nowhere as pricey as the hut.
I think that Pizza Hut is making a huge mistake by considering dine-in to be a liability. The fact is, it is something unique that they have that none of their major competitors have. With the right people in charge, the right attitude, and the right plan, they might be able to turn that 'liability' into an asset.
have to follow trends, and today's trend is delivery only, i can go into a taco bell right now, and not a sole are dining in
Have not had Pizza Hut in almost 10 years. Quality changed to much for the worst
Little Cesar's 🍕 is the best value for budget brand pizza spots. Papa John's pizza goes up, down ⬆️⬇️ ....
@@DavidLLambertmobilePapa John's is disgusting. Their pizza was better in the 90's. I don't remember it being this bad.

The crust is gross nowadays I want the 80s style pizza crust back
I've been disabled for over 10yrs. I make dough in a Bread Maker. Pizza dough, cinnamon rolls, etc. 🤗 I encourage everyone to try it!!!
it taste the same to me
So, do you want to know why that fantastic family owned pizza place is still, since way back in the early 1950's is still working today? It's because they never changed the recipe. I managed a Pizza Hut in the early 1970's. When the brothers sold out, for some reason, the various companies that followed thought, "gotta get with the times." Huge mistake. Stick to the original and would be big bucks today.
Great comment that is easy to follow and makes perfect sense.
The local Dominoes got rid of their dining area and simply expanded their production space to double down on take out/delivery.
Meanwhile, the Pizza hut around here moved locations from a traditional Pizza Hut hut building into a strip mall. where Papa Johns used to be at.
why not since no one dines in anymore
Pizza Rut.
If I go to a place that has no physical menu I leave.
I agree even printed menus are not that damn hard! Stop trying to blame CoVid19 😷 .....
so you never eat?
I remember when it was good. A looooooong time ago.
My pizza huts have turned to garbage for a while, takes 2 hours or more for delivery plus the quality has dropped, so sad
Duh, ALWAYS was garbage to Italians!
Did you see the viral video of how much sugar is in their pizza. After seeing it I'm glad I haven't eaten their pizza for 4 years
They were never that good unless your high that's it
Something also needs to be done with uber eats/delivery drivers.

Pizza Hut pizzas were incredible back in the 1970's - 1980's.
If they could bring that flavor back, that could put them on top.
2) the pzone was great, just needed option to customize the toppings in it
3) the new melts are cooked way too long and the bread is super crispy ruining it
4) dominoes and little ceasars doing really cheap options, and pizza hut doesnt have the flavor to beat competitors prices
5) no option for medium size stuffed crust pizzas. and their large stuffed crust is smaller as all they do is fold over the crust edge making you lose size.
Stop bitching
Most do the reason why most grown adults work at fast food restaurants.
I had Pizza Hut a few months ago after not having had it for years. It was just sub par quality. Wont be having it again any time soon....
Rip Pizza Hut. A big, fun part of my childhood. You will be missed
DEI, ESG...the real culprits of everything getting more expensive and you getting a worse product as the end result. Happens everywhere now.
Their base pizza prices are absurdly high despite I have always enjoyed Pizza Hut over the decades
Yeah real loud then normal
no franchise is lucrative , theres to many pockets to fill and nothing left for owners. especially now with how expensive life is , for the price of one pizza i can make lunches for work for 1-2 weeks depending on what i make
Because the product is not worth the price anymore.
Pizza Hut in the 80s and 90s was awesome. quality started going down in the 2000s. our local Hut closed down around 10 years ago.
Don't remember when, but the last few times that i ordered from them is when they had The New Yorker followed by the P'Zone.
I hope this does not affect PH here in Canada because we just got one in my town and it's great.
I didn't even know that Pizza Hut still exists lmao. The last time I saw one was literally 20 years ago, they shut down countless places since then.
Pizza Hut tasted better in the '80s when I was a kid. As time went on the quality went down. I wondered if they're pre-made or switched cheaper Ingredients. They're deep dish pizza is my favorite pizza of theirs, but I've had better ones elsewhere. I don't eat there as much anymore.
the veggies are thin almost seem fake
I miss the Pizza Hut sit down restaurant. I got a pizza from them yesterday and the taste wasn't there. I used to love their pizza and pasta dishes. Seems like they've gone downhill.
Pizza Hut New Zealand closed all restaurants years ago. They are only takeaway/delivery these days.
When I was a kid we would go to Pizza Hut because it was the only place around but now you can’t throw a stone without hitting a pizza place.

IMOP
The last time i ate here was when they used to have buffet pizza years ago in Canada.
Pizza Hut's good days were decades ago. I tried them a few years ago because I felt nostalgic for a personal pan pizza. What a disappointment! The crust was doughy and the toppings tasted like something from a "low fat" section of the store.
pizza hut is to expensive I love it more than any other one but it is to expensive for me
Pizza Hut should go under, but the competition is as bad or worse. People will either have to stop getting pizza, change to an equally bad chain or costlier local brand, or just accpet what they are offered. History says that they will continue to buy from Pizza Hut. They might start making their own, but that is also expensive and, more to the point, time consuming.
pizza hut has been extinct in my area for 4 years, the final pizza hut was a pizza hut express.
