Before advanced technology life was so much better. No one stole your packages that you order. Honest neighbors looked out for one another. Yes paying bills and doing you day to day business, may have tooks sometime. But it got there safe. Now people are stealing people's credit and debit information as you do you transaction on line. So much of your personal information is getting compromise my thief, who find it easy to steal than to get a regular job. Everyone posing and legitimate businesses. Sad that the consumers has to do a thorough investigation of companies that are legitimate.
Unacceptable. The same happened to me in 2019. I never got notice that someone illegally changed my address - I just noticed that I hadn't received any mail in about one week. Once I found out about the crime I made a dozen or so phone calls and got things straightened out. Two weeks later my mail was forwarded again. Despite what the USPS claims - anyone can forward your mail to another address from anywhere at any time. It's shocking the USPS hasn't changed a thing since 2019.
If the USPS had competition, this issue would be solved overnight. All it takes is for one company implementing sanitization, to send mail only to a recipient that matches the name and address.
Going through the United States Postal Service, to Change Your Address, and Validating it with a Debit or Credit Card, is Secure. It gives you the peace of mind of knowing that Your Mail, will go to your New Address, in the timeframe you specify to them, for that to happen.
Omg for a federal service to be this inept at security is scary.
The postal service in Houston is a joke.
