    Hi Kenny, enjoyed the Spring updates, good follow up. Not a great fan of 3D printers and model making, but looking forward to you getting back to what you used to do, Scrollsaw of many styles, basic woodworking techniques, which by the way you explain in simple terms that laymen can understand which is good and the testing of new products for woodworkers. I find your information to be easy to understand and follow. I have been a subscriber for a long time now, and before that would go from one of your shows to another for hours getting ideas all along the way. I have made many of your ideas, and used your ideas to develop other products. please keep up the content, as I am getting old and doing less in The Shed. This means that I need to make better use of the time that I spend there, and your ideas help me to do this. Thank you for all the shows that you have produced and all the ones that you will in the future. Kindest regards, Roger Gregerson Canberra Australia.

      PS. The blooper shows are fun, but please keep the Friday contact up, RG

      Thank you for the kind words Roger. I truly appreciate it. You don't have to worry about the blooper reel taking over the Friday slot. That is a Tuesday show and the Friday slot will always be some kind of woodworking. Once this current scale model is done (it's taking way longer than I anticipated) I will be getting back to normal programming. Thanks for your patience and for tuning in to the show.

    I always watch your shows Kenny, good learning from an honest person. Blooper shows are always good, they show that you are as human as we are. I am sure we all make mistakes in our work shops and it shows that it is ok to make mistakes, that is a part of learning. My old saying is "he who never made a mistake, never made anything". so yep bring on some blooper shows. I am sure we can have a laugh at ourselves and each other. Thanks for the video's you make. all good stuff. I wish I was 55 again, I am 68 going on 69 and still enjoying my wood work hobby crook back and diabetes and epilepsy and blind in my left eye, and still having fun here.

      Having fun and staying as active as you can is the key to longevity William. It sounds like you have it all under control. Thanks for tuning in to the show this week and for chiming in with your thoughts. It's very much appreciated.

      Well get out there sir and make that gnocchi board. You can't make and eat gnocchi without making the board first. LOL. Thanks for tuning in and for the kind words.

    Trolls will be trolls, if they are ignored they usually move on ... as for those that complain about getting tools for free, so what, don't watch if it annoys you 😎
    I'll watch whatever you produce, bloopers included, it's all part of the experience 👍
    As for getting older, in the last two years I've gone from being pretty strong to now even having problems sawing, all due to heart problems, but that's life ... I went away and came back after 18 minutes, so it's a small price to pay😁

      @acutabove_woodworkings  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've had my share of health issues Barry, including heart disease and I know what a toll it takes on you. The important part is that we continue to move forward and continue with our craft. Working for a few minutes a day is better than not working at all. Thanks for tuning in.

    Back when your Gnocchi episode aired, my daughter and her boyfriend had recently opened a restaurant and one of the items on the menu was a Gnocchi in a mushroom sauce. It was amazing and my wife and I frequently went to the restaurant and I always looked forward to that Gnocchi. Fast forward several months and my daughter had a very messy breakup with the guy and the restaurant has closed down. Unfortunately, my daughter never learned the recipe.
    I never liked the guy, but I sure do miss that Gnocchi.
    I think I'm going to need to re-watch those videos. If your wife decides to join you for an episode on a sweet-potato version, you have at least one guaranteed viewer!

    • @acutabove_woodworkings
      @acutabove_woodworkings  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I hope you do give that gnocchi a try Jim. It's super easy to make and it is soooooo good. Give it a try. I will chat with the Mrs and see if she'd like to produce a sweet potato version of the show. Thanks for tuning in.

    This was a terrific show for so many reasons. The first was the gnocchi board and your advice to try them and freeze them. In 2007 I did a 2 week culinary stay in a small town near Florence IT, and we made gnocchi. I have to say that everything you said about them is absolutely true. They are wonderful! And so now I will go back and watch the gnocchi board show. I am also interested in the Ender 3 V2 Neo 3D printer show. I am seriously thinking about adding that to the shop and so I'll watch that one too. And then there is the scroll saw thumbscrew tool. I made a couple of discs for that very purpose a couple of years ago for all of the reasons you state. I love them but they are round and I think perhaps the shape of the one you made may be a bit more helpful, so now another show to review. 🙂 I do have one question based on watching the screen today. I noticed that over the bench you have a device to hold the large print plans of the J&T layouts. Have you mentioned this before? If not, what is the contrivance you have come up with to hold the plans? anyway, a great show and looking forward to the next Truck show and next week's Tuesday. Take care.

    • @acutabove_woodworkings
      @acutabove_woodworkings  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Although I have answer this question via my email chat with you, I will answer it here so that others can bask in my redneck engineering. LOL. I have a couple of eye bolts installed in the ceiling. Hanging from those two eye bolts are coat hangers with a bent hook on each end. The top end hooks into the eyebolts and the bottom end hooks into two small binder clips that hold the plans on a 1/8" thick strip of hard board, cut to about 1"x24". That's all it is but it works great. Necessity is the mother of all invention. Thanks for tuning in this week and for your question.

    Here's my take on your show or any other show for that matter, the content you share with us (the audience) is not always everyone's way of doing things. As you always mention, there are many ways of doing things and getting the same results. Many times you're working on a project and I'm doing something totally different than what you've got going on, but I see a procedure you use or the use of a tool I hadn't thought about using and... WaLa! Kenny's a genius! The project doesn't always make the show, it's the way you present and explain the methods you use. I like the useful things you put into your show just like the little thumb screw helper. That's using the commonsense God gave us!
    As far as the trolls... they're just trolls (more like idiots).
    Bloopers! EVERYONE has'm! That's what makes us human... and the bloopers funny! Suggestion.. maybe instead of a full show of the funny little things that happen, use the latter part of your show to put those bloopers out there. Leave them laughing and they'll always come back for more.
    You have a Great little show with incredibly faithful followers... you're doing a Great job Kenny... Thank You!
    P.S.
    Wadda say we do this again in another six months...

      Thanks for your kind words and for your encouragement Dennis. I truly appreciate it. No matter how skilled we are or how new we are to the craft, we always have something to learn from others. That's what this show is all about. It's about creating a community of woodworkers from all skill levels that can get together around a show idea and discuss their ideas to gather inspiration or to learn something new. No one knows everything and everyone has something to learn. Thanks for tuning in to the show and for your incredible comment this week.

    Hi Kenny. Love the channel. Love this update show. You talked about the gnocchi recipe, I haven’t seen that episode so while going through the channel I thought it has to be in the alternative Tuesday sub category. It maybe just me but I don’t think you have one. Videos(over 10 years worth). Scrolling, tools,jigs,reviews safety. All no. I wonder would a Tuesday subcategory help to find videos such as these? By no means is this a complaint but I wonder if others are in my boat? Keep up the great work man. Cheers

      The problem is that you are only allowed so many sub categories. At least that was the case when I set all of the categories up in the first place. They have have changed it by now but at the time, my sub categories were completely maxed out. I do think that you can search my channel for the content though from the main page of the channel. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in.

      That reg wagon of my father's is still there Jerry. It is just blocked out by the air hose reel. If you look closely to the left of the hose, you will see the wheels of the wagon still on the ceiling. Blooper reel#18 is currently in production. Thanks for tuning in

    Pardon the pun but. What a Pisser your pronunciation gnocchi, I nearly PMSL guess that’s an Aussie thing 😂. The handle for the scroll saw was a great idea I might use that for the brass handle on the garden tap that sticks. Once again GREAT show Kenny and loving it down here in Oz. 🇦🇺

    I have a question about scroll sawing. I'm wanting to get into it but was wondering what is a good entry saw to get to start into the hobby? If you could give me your opinion l would appreciate it. Thank you.

    • @acutabove_woodworkings
      @acutabove_woodworkings  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not knowing where you live and what options are available to you makes it a little difficult to suggest something Pete. It's also difficult to suggest something when I don't know your budget. This is an older video on my channel and runs through the basic options of a scroll saw and what to look for. It may help you. studio.th-cam.com/users/videokBCdGKTaQms/edit
      Not knowing your region or your budget, a good, middle of the road saw that you would be happy with is the DW788, 21" scroll saw. It's a solid unit and I worked on one for years with great success. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for tuning in.

    Kenny, maybe you're getting soft around the belly it could be because of the gnocchi. As far as you getting old, I'm 5 years older, and trust me, my fingers need all the help they can get, tightening and slackening things.
