I’ve been thinking about that bud. I’m going to see what it’s like driving around here with the speed bumps, I can drive off to one side of them… if there’s any hint of a scrape I’ll be using stainless steel and probably relocating them too, but I think they’ll be ok…. He says… 🤔😆
Place a couple of blocks under them with the car stationary when it's built. Then make the suspension rebound, and listen for a bottom out. Last thing you want is it ripping out a pipe over a bump. Did you flare the ends where it goes in to rubber?
That’s a good idea, I’ll do that. 👌 I flare the ends on the aluminium tube by annealing the ends then using an 8mm ball bearing and a pair of MIG pliers. I’ve done a really dull vid about it 😆 I do it by hand now and dont use a vice.
Good insight of the builds bare bones often overlooked. The pipes run really neatly, alot of work, well executed. 😊
Thanks Gordy. ☺️👌
This is looking epic new subscriber and I'm following along. Really wanted a covin myself but prices for sheds has gotten silly
Cheers Andy. Yeah haven’t they just! I bought mine just before the prices started to rise thankfully.
Nice work. Those mounting brackets look well strong and solid.
Are you planning on making 'bash plates' over the underneath runs for the water pipes?
