Stan's grandpa always calls Stan the name Billy.
because he don’t remember his name
Habit from his father that called him billy,so its a tradition
My favorite line from Stan’s grandpa is when they were having a birthday party and he was asked “Make a wish!” He responded “I wish I were dead!”
My friend in college took a box of gold jewelry to cash for gold. She got a little under 3k but was obviously low balled. The cashier was surprisingly fair and gave a handful of items back that had real value and suggested where she could sell it & some prince ranges
Stan: I'm not joking.....do it!
i wish these were longer, but 👍🏼
I think y'all talked right over the old lady on the phone saying she was lost lol
I mean they talked over like 90% of it.
Old people yap a lot
On the freeway no less
This is one of the best episodes of this season
Now they prey on lonely old people on Facebook, pisses me off how rotten those scumbags are.
Love that you guys are still on South Park reactions
If you use the current price of gold that day, and shop around you can get about 80% of that’s days gold price. Going to out of the way places help, they can’t afford to lose your business as much.
I’d be surprised if that’s true. You gotta subtract out all the overhead and enough profit from that. 80% seems really good tbh.
This is a great episode. 😂
Awesome reaction of my favorite South Park!!!!😊😊😊😊
Gemstones really are almost completely worthless and common. I’ve started carving jewels myself to sell when I need money.
Cash for gold is market value, but gold increases, money does not, so the more they buy the more money they build up
This episode is knida sad and heartbreaking 💔 because of Stan's grandfather who is revealed to have Alzheimer's because he couldn't remember his dog. I've heard and seen elderly people with Alzheimer's who start to lose their memories of their loved ones 😢😢😢 My grandmother showed signs of Alzheimer's before she passed away. Really broke my heart
finally,im glad that you lot finally reacted to this episode ,ive been waiting for you guys to see this and get your insightful opinion.
because what you observe is factual when it comes to this type of industry
one of my fave eps
5:57-6:01
That was a very well-timed cut 😳
I wonder where they got the premise for the episode, i bought a guitar that is around $1,000 brand new from a pawn shop for $450, and when i sold some silver and gold bars to a jewelry store they paid me spot price for it lol
but I'm sure these places actually do exist
Isn't the Episode more about how fucked up those tv-shows sell Everything overprized to elderly?
@@Giesing-tp9dj true but they kinda entangled it all lol
Because you bought an instrument, not jewelry, and you sold raw metal to a jewelry store, not jewelry to a pawn shop. Your conditions are nothing like what’s described in the epsiode.
@@dodiswatchbobobo my instrument is a jewel, and jewelry or raw metal...it's based off the metals involved...so how is that so different??
@@deminybs you learned firsthand what the difference is when you didn’t go through what happened in this episode.
Your instrument is a jewel to YOU, not literally jewelry, and jewelry prices aren’t just the price of the metal and gemstones, they also charge for the work it took to shape them into jewelry. Unlike a pawn shop that would sell the jewelry unaltered or to a smeltery which takes a cut.
Stan W this episode
Cash for gold is similar to a pawn shop. Many of them but undercutting for a profit.
Well they arn’t doing it for charity. And don’t forget the overhead costs
One of my favorite episodes. I know it's a reaction; but it seemed like you talked through nearly all the jokes. Maybe pausing is the answer, I dunno.
Say what you will Cartman os smart, he knows when he's being hustled.
except for when he's buying another kid's pubic hair. He got hustled and humiliated multiple times that episode.
@@kirikayumura6015 but how'd that work out for Scott?
@@georgeprchal3924 Cartman got vicious revenge in the end but he didn't start setting up that payback until late in the episode. He got played during most of the episode and wasn't savvy enough to figure it out until after multiple times.
Geriatric W 🤣
I make my own jewellery, so i can recycle my own precious metals
Make me a rolex🙄😇
bullion dealers generally pay something like spot less some nominal fee around $50. there's a huge mark-up on finished jewelry (because gold is worked into jewelry, and that has a cost/adds value to the gold, etc.) which doesn't itself tend to acquire much if any value over the medium term to some party other than the purchasing party unless it acquires special value to the collector market (because of the rare design or designer or whatever.) big box jewelry is generally a very poor investment; most people who buy it don't buy it as an investment but for altogether different reasons.
if you did want to acquire jewelry that's likely to hold value, you need to study up a lot and look at vintage tiffany type stuff in estate sales or whatever.
Guys I love watching your reactions but your audio levels on the shows are too low. They need to come up about 50%, when your voices are normal, I can barely hear the show
This might be my favorite episode bar none.
