Cheapest vodka you can get in Maine is Poland Spring and I'd rather buy that than their water! The other thing I like to do after a trip is look at the bottom of my boat and take note of new scars. If it's a good trip I always leave a little bit of my canoe out there and in exchange I always come back with a good memory. Thanks for the video Lisa!
When I'm sitting cuffed in the back of a game wardens cruiser , I'll be sure to refer them to this video. Lol. Sound about like hand sanitizer. Thanks .
That’s hard for me as a working Guide. First of all, no time to film and guests are there to be on vacation, not be on TH-cam. But I’m so grateful for all the canoeists watching and maybe I’ll be able to share some trip footage on a solo or a friends trip.
Now here I was thinking I’d take the life jacket to the laundromat with everything else- sleeping bag, clothes etc. I’ve even thrown a tent in a front loading washer.
@@3_Minutes_With_a_Maine_Guide Yes very true! But it *might* discolor your gear. Better do a spot check first when using hydrogen peroxide. That's why the eco products are fantastic. I much prefer using safe DIY methods, but I make an exception when it comes to clean the "watersport gear"
Hi Lisa love your videos - I would encourage you to check out Re-Lyte, Keto Chow, or LMNT electrolytes. These options are SO much more potent than Gatorade and are NOT full of dyes, corn syrup and other crap. Plus you can get these in powder form to save weight. I tried out Keto Chow this year and let me tell you it is a total game changer and I'm never drinking Gatorade again! Cheers

Awesome! Thanks for watching.
Very helpful information 👍🏻
Glad it was helpful!
I use off brand Efferdent. The expensive cleaning tabs Camelback sells you are just denture cleaner.
Great tip! My sister does that for thermos things. It does work great. Thank for watching!
I always had good luck with wet suit shampoo for the pfd's, kayak skirts, etc.
You can’t beat a good cleanup method once you find one that works for you thanks for watching

Great tips! I'm not the best at after trip maintenance. 😎
My mom always said there is a butterfly part and a moth part to every job, it’s definitely the moth part. Thanks for sharing and being so supportive.

You can use that spray on ALL of those things. Good luck.
Forgive me, guide, for I have sinned. I let my PFDs get moldy. Will the vodka trick work?
Nope! Use a solution of either bleach or vinegar. Never both at same time.
You can use a solution of Hydrogen peroxide and water and a nylon scrub brush to get rid of the mold. Then do the vodka spray. Thanks for watching.
