Very pretty vase. I was able to get a stack of black locust. Certainly is a very hard wood. Especially doing an end grain turning. But worth it.

it's a beautiful piece and the colors are awesome. I hope you don't take this as being overly critical, but I think the base is just a tad heavy, visually. I'm not sure if the answer is to make it a bit smaller, or rounding it.
