In case you are wondering, I am not 'bored' watching the same engines again and again. I'm very happy to keep watching so long as you are happy to keep making the videos. Thank you.
Perfect German craftsman! I am proud that we're still having great craftsman which are supporting our economy! We must not forget that guys like Subi Performance brought Germany to the wealth and prosperity we have nowadays! Appreciation is highly recommended!
CAT watched the whole video and the dog was just in the last minute of it. He is making a Grrrrrrrrrr sound. You are right watching assembly videos is a boor. Lets see the completed engines causing smoky burnouts. And who makes Subaru transmissions that can withstand the power? Lets see some transmission mods to get the power to the road.
Abonniert, immernoch hier, für gut befunden :D Und wieder dankeschön dafür! edit: du bist übrigens einer der ganz wenigen Channels bei dem ich die Glocke drin hab ;) dont forget to get the bell on guys :D
Ive shown a couple of your build videos to a friend of mine who was planning to build some wild VQ engine for his 350z. At first he says to me "well this is a Subaru boxer engine" lol like you only take measurements on Subi's. Anyway once he realized you cant just buy bearings and other new internals and just through it together he changed his mind.
Brad Penn PennGrade High Performance Engine Assembly Lubricant 71055 u can buy it as summit racing www.summitracing.com/parts/bpo-71055?seid=srese1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAqdP9BRDVARIsAGSZ8AlFeKJ7cHuSBFGgZBJJzZdUdIjNYew2frUKvnFXA0u6mKIKnZsVN6waAv2gEALw_wcB
You know I see these guys using this lube on the bearings I use regular motor oil because it soaks into the bearing and that's what you're going to run in the engine that's just my preference
I have always been interested in Subaru engines, for a 4 cylinder they make a nice sound compared to the other ones, maybe it's cause it's a flat engine it has a more rumbly sound. Very interesting to watch. Iv'e always thought Porsche and Subaru sounded the nicest. IM also looking at buying a 1996 WRX. Iv'e never owned a Subaru before, iv'e been told by a few people not to buy them, they have head gasket issues or something. I'm not well versed in engine talk but im guessing it's that bit of plastic underneath the top part of the engine. Might get a mechanic to check it out before buying. I wouldn't know what to look for apart from checking the oil and looking for rust! haha! Thanks for the video.
Not to be negative but I did not think you were meant to lubricant the outside section of seals, only the inside because that's the part where something rotates on the seal. 🤷 I have seen others put a thin layer of sealant on the external side of the seal, is this incorrect method?
Can I ask a potentially dumb question? How do you check the gap between the piston rod bearings and the crank shaft to ensure you have the correct oil gap?
Normally you bolt the end caps on the rod with the bearings installed at the correct torque then measure with a dial bore gauge, then mic the rod journals. The difference in diameter is your oil clearance.
How is that enough RTV?? I'm not questioning you, you're clearly the expert here. But how is it rather than is it enough RTV. I've always seen so many people slather a shit ton of RTV while building an engine so that caught me off guard.
Where do you get the paint pens from and what are they called? All I get when I search for paint pen are generic artist paint pens not ones for marking bolts etc.
Hi there, like always its a great video. I wonder if you can let me know the part reference from the yellow paint that you apply usually fron Wurth. I would like to buy for my personal use. Im mechanic too. keep doing a perfect job with that lovely passion. Engine builder. Txs a lot. Frank.
Does this mean you are able to build engines from other countries? Say if a customer from Canada would like a build. Would they be able to ship a block to your facility?
Hi guys, does anyone know what is that green fluid he uses as lubricant? I found one same question here in comment section, but it stay unanswered. Thanks a lot guys and good luck
Please tell me where i can get that line honing tool you use. i love watching your videos; even if i don't understand the German Language ones, i still watch them.
What happens when you reach engine Number 100? I would create engine 100 as a cake and eat it and then progress with 101....(aber ohne Dalmatiner, is klar..)

There was a Subaru 12 cylinder 3.5l engine in F1. When do you couple two EJ engines in the same car ? It will be the first 1000 HP Subaru. Stop wasting time welding parts to mimic a dog and weld two engine blocks together to rock the Internet. Best regards
In case you are wondering, I am not 'bored' watching the same engines again and again. I'm very happy to keep watching so long as you are happy to keep making the videos. Thank you.
I agree 100%.
I also agree 100% you make the video I will watch I build hot water pumps an boilers the same for 19 years so not BORED here
It must be really cool to order an engine and then be able to watch the video of it being hand built. Great work

The only marketing you need. This truly was satisfying to watch.
great video
I love subies and the engine builds I’m learning a lot just by watching these videos! Dope content my dude!
Even though I've seen you build so many ej already, I still like to see new builds. It's so relaxing!

Never Boring!!!!
I enjoy watching you building engines, is not boring 😁
This is therapeutic.
Just bought my first subie! Excited to try my hand at an ej20
Nice to see Mike have engine allmost done.
Nice video, as USUAL! 😁 And your english is not that bad, for a german ofcourse 😉 keep up the awesome work!

Blessed by the doggo
Any work on EZs? The 6 cylinder subi engines seem so cool but only ever heard of ez33s being built due to rod sharing quirks.
What's the green lubricant? Is it engine assembly lube? If so what brand?

Good work 👍
What are the liquids he is using? (The green coloured one)
Awesome work 💯.best 💪🏼🏁.👊🏼
Thanks for English Video😄💯👍
you really have to install the piston clips through that little hole? thats wild.
I'd like to know where to find that crankshaft seal install tool. It looks very well made as well as making installation super easy.
Guys he built his dream Subaru motor, he didn’t want to build a top end so he’s just going to put the block in the car and drive it that way!
Интересно почему вы когда затягиваете шатуны вы проверяете длинну болтов микрометром?

They are great cars imo, I have one and I have lots of fun with it and that’s without any turbo or modifications
i told you he was second best engine builder in Germany. First is you :)

For Subaru Ej25D on the head gasket what type of glue silicone or adhesive do you recommend? Thanks in advance 😊
love your build
Greetings tremendous work on the Subaru engines you can make a video which shows the position of the piston rings as they go correctly thanks

awesome video wie immer
What's the green goo? It looks like the tapping fluid I use.
are there any risks of assembly lube from bearings mixing or contacting the RTV around case half holes when everything is coming together?
Very inspiring work.
me gustan tanto tus videos y deseo aprender tanto que me voy a poner a estudiar inglés solo para entenderlos 😄
Would like to see a completed engine on dyno. :-D
How much torque is in the connecting rod?
What is the green stuff you put on everything??
What silicone do u use for the case half’s
And the final ok from the puppy lol
Just wondering about the bearings ,looks like acl race style on mains but standard type on big ends, is there a preference for doing this? Thanks
There's really no other gasket that goes inbetween the two blocks?
Where do you get the paint pens from and what are they called? All I get when I search for paint pen are generic artist paint pens not ones for marking bolts etc.
This is a W block or just semi-closed one. What's the thickness of the cylinder wall?
Dachshund's are very skilled..
Great work .
What ring gap do you recommend for 08 sti ej257 stock bore 400-500hp 25PSi CP Pistons, says bore x .0055(.021)? for boost.Top and bottom thanks
Them deutschland Q.C inspectors can be pretty picky, hope your ducks are all in a row. ;-)

How much hp does the dog add?
How About skoda 130 LR engine? Also to the Czech republic.
Addict
Why would you grease anything in the bottom end? It's just going to get washed away by the oil.
Does this mean you are able to build engines from other countries? Say if a customer from Canada would like a build. Would they be able to ship a block to your facility?
Do you ever build non-turbo performance subi engines?. Sorry if that’s a stupid question
Hi guys, does anyone know what is that green fluid he uses as lubricant? I found one same question here in comment section, but it stay unanswered. Thanks a lot guys and good luck

Wie schlimm ist es wenn man unter die lagerschalen öl macht? Mein kumpel will mir nicht glauben dass da kein öl drunter kommt 😅
Läuft der Karren noch 😅
What engine oil do you use in the EJ20? Thanks.
Macht es Sinn einen Motor mit MOS2 Öl einzufahren?
Is idling my engine good for it when i start it from cold? And how long should i wait before i drive off?
A few seconds is fine, more important is not getting the revs too high until it's warmed up after you start driving it.
I need an engine of subaru forester SF5 Ej20 can I get one?
Diese great !
This guy has all the right tools but imma just rebuild the motor in my garage with a foldable table
Awesome video ;)

WHY DONT SUBARU ENGINES HAVE AN IMS ???
How can I find this guy?
