    Well your in my wheel house now. Up here in the cold north country (upper end of Pool 4 on the Muddy Miss) Walleye & Sauger are our primary target fish. I sure can tell you're a (former carpenter) by measuring to "3/8, most would round that up to a quarter. Our limit up here is also 4, used to be 6 but to much pressure, and I use plastics or stick baits about 95% of the time. Primary live bait is Willow Cats (baby bullheads) but they are spendy but fat head or shiners work too.. Great fishing, great video, and keep having a great time; you're right, fishing is the best. Stay safe and tight lines.

    Here in the south the walleye and sauger are under rated fish. Originally coming from up north and fishing lake Erie and some inland lakes . I find it very joyful to catch my favorite eaters here in Middle Tennessee. "Whoooooo".

    Hi there Richard. My Son and I bought a small 13 foot flat bottom aluminum boat right before winter set in. We got to take it out once before it got bad cold here in Kentucky. So Sir what I want to ask you is what kind of battery should we get for our trolling motor? Whoa, whoa. Want to say God Bless you and your family! Really enjoy your fishing video's. You Sir are really appreciated for sharing your techniques.

    Love your videos thank you so very much for sharing them with us! As I watched you go over your different lines on your reel I was wondering if you have ever tried bass pro xps line or the bass pro excel lines? They come in big spools, it hasn’t let me down with times wondering how I ever got the fish in the boat after looking at the line to retying. I look forward to your videos every week, I think I have watched just about all of them. Thanks again for all the tips and videos God bless.

    Zebco cardinal 4 I had 3 of the 4s and 2 of the 3s best reels ever only problems I had was the spools went bad after about 10 years .when you guide there used nearly everyday

    • @billmitchelljr6303
      @billmitchelljr6303 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I replaced my spools with aluminum spools. That definitely solved the splitting of the plastic spools. Only thing is they're pretty salty I think around $50-$60 but imo well worth it.

I had no idea what I had caught So I looked it up on the Internet. It was pretty small but I decided to cook it up anyway and yes I agree they are very good.

    Where I am from ,Walleye need to be 18 inches to legally keep . I usually catch plenty using a red and white 1/2 or 3/4 oz. Daredevil "spoon " or a silver and blue Little Cleo 1/2 or 3/4 oz " spoon" . Funny thing is all the the Walleyes I've caught have been just shy of the legal length . Not sure what's up with this . A few years ago , I caught a 22 inch Walleye and a few 18 inchers but over the past 3 years ,I haven't gotten any over 17 1/2 inches . I am not sure if fishing pressure is the issue or if some natural thing like unusual water conditions or something. I hope to catch some legal sized Walleye because it is the best tasting fish with the exception of brook trout . Seeing You haul in those beauties definitely makes me look forward to Walleye season . God bless and thanks for the pointers .
