Thanks. I felt I had to explain the issue ANTIC was having. Rather than just saying it was broken and replacing it.Talking to some folks at Atari Age, this is a very rare failure of ANTIC, so I figured I'd show what it was doing and give an explanation of it. Glad you liked it.

The RF shield is not shaped to touch the chips. So Atari designed it with no heat dispersion in mind. The chips get warm, but not hot per se'. But it couldn't hurt. I might end up doing that. 👍
@@blackterminal On my 600XL the MMU, Sally, and Antic seem to get a lot hotter then in the XEGS. Especially the MMU, it gets super hot. But it's more of a shelf piece CIB. I only get it out now, to power it up to charge up the caps monthly, to keep them healthy.

Should you fit heatsinks?

@@RetrogamerGenX any atari 8 bit I have had open gets very hot on certain chips.
