This is the ALL-STAR video as far as I'm concerned, and that's saying alot given how great Sonny's other videos are. Great restaurant that would appease tourists and locals alike with great dishes at very reasonable price. Very friendly owner and chef given how busy cooking can be. Great idea of showing Tet dishes in the 3 regions. Eye opening Northern cuisine because Vietnamese outside of Vietnam don't know much about food outside of the South. Always at least one rarity dish, in this case, multiple but I like the "thit dong" gelatin meat/vegetable. Beautiful clips of how the food is cooked as well as being prepared to be served. And a great video host Sonny that always get the local Vietnamese to laugh alot. Only bad things is us poor viewers who have to suffer through it all from afar :-)

sjwilkin I have to say that beans on toast was boring. But OMG... A fully loaded english breakfest, fish&chips. Chips butty and mash&pie... now that was just heaven on a platter. Stayed in England for a week and gained soooo much weight. Worth it though:)

U are bringing the world together and that is an amazing feat! I grew up on traditional Italian and Greek food . I have learned soooo much and have started using more egg and bursts of new flavor!! Fyi the white bubble thing that he said that it tastes like a bubble wrap. It is NOT pork skin!!! It is a part of fish which they use to control their weight so they can float.... i just feel funny that the chef introduced it as PORK SKIN... 😂😂😂

han do do you see the size of that 'fish stomach' before chef cut it? They lie to you in the past, Fish stomach is so expensive and rare, only King can have that, what we have nowadays is pork skin. I knew it long time ago 😉
Vincent Valentine well thats interesting to know... i dont know if the south version is different but my mom make it with the fish part and it is sold in the market with a decent price (not too expensive). I guess it depends on the chef to prepare the food. And i dont think it is necessary to lie because either fish or pork, it is unique in its own way.

I'm not expert but I know that meal make from specific kind of fish, those fish stomach they sell in market nowadays are not right, same as fish cake, all kind of fish can be used to make fish cake but only some can produce the best/right taste. Happy new year :)
