Great video. You can replace 50% of the things you have by building a nas either with unraid or truenas and virtualising most of the services in your cabinet.

Nice Network you have there. It needs some cable management and RGB for the "EXTRA" power 😅

Why wouldn’t you clean it up with patch or keystone panel? It looks really messy… you have a lot of stuff!

    Hi, What a mess!
Isn't it time to put some order in that jungle?

It’s definitely time to sort it all out, I’ll get round to it one day soon

I like the unifi ui but the udm pro has some major limitations for me like the lack of bgp, lack of full cone nat (1:1 nat), there marketed as enterprise but have limitations in what should be default options

It sems to me way to big setup for a home, but I guess you love tech and you really need all of that. On the other hand, I’m astonished to see how badly are the cables been passed on this house… not sure I want to see how those cables reach their destination 🙉😱. I would be supper annoyed to see that mess every day… what about closing the rack? What about covering those cables in the walls somehow?

It’s a lot of stuff for a house but we have a lot of tech I’ll probably make a video about all the stuff. Yes it needs a tidy up it grew at a rate that I wasn’t expecting. All of the cables disappear once’s they are out of that room so it’s not that. It will get sorted at some point

How do you even sleep with that many equipment

    • @Thomas_Dye

The equipment is in our server room, which we also use an office no one sleeps in that room, and you can’t hear it outside of the room

This setup is stressful. What an absolute mess. I’m sure it’s all working as intended and you’re doing a great job, but the mess of cabling and devices and waste of what could be a pumped out office is significant.

Nice but have some pride in your work and get them cables sorted out, it looks like a rats nest lol
Other than cable management all looks good

You're WiFi 2.4 SHOULD NOT be sitting at 40mhz, it should be at 20.. and the 5ghz should be around 40 maybe 80 depending on rf interference.

If you want speed isn't the best way use 40 on 5ghz. On 2.4 maybe is good 20 for range, but don't to speed

@@lucasthielke You will have alot of congestion on 2.4gig with 40mhz. Keep 2.4 at 20 and 5g at 80.
