I give them credit for trying this song. The Cult is not an easy band to cover. Keane is a good band and they sound wonderful. They are obviously not as heavy, but a brilliant cover.
Why does everyone criticise cover tracks because they arent the same as the original, thats the whole point of a cover? its a different band doing it thier way...not the best cover but its a decent attempt from a great band thats also very musically different from the Cult

And this cover version is pretty damn good! Cover versions aren't supposed to sound the same as the original. [unless you're a cover band] Otherwise, what's the point? Right? You make it your own to varying degrees. So kudos to Keane for not trying to sound just like The Cult.

Personally I hate covers that sound almost exactly like the original. Hats off to Keane for making a version of this song in their own style.

I went to a Keane concert, having NO knowledge of their discography, and it was a SICK SHOW. One of the best bands I've EVER seen in concert.
