I read the hype, watched the videos and bought a pair a couple years ago trying to get the best bang for my bucks. They did not last long, lenses seem to be chemically breaking down. Vision distortion got to the point were I threw them away within a few months. So disappointed.
Ya Mark Zona says he has always used Strike king sunglasses,,, I find that funny when i think back to his very first season of his show and he said something along the lines of, I use oakleys and he also said that his show would not be run by sponsor plugs and stuff. Look at his show now,, He went from having no corporate sponsors or partnerships to having several of them and wearing oakleys the whole first 2 seasons....
As long as they are polarized, look good, scratch resistant, fit right, light, can be worn all day, and not made by Luxottica it's all good my friends.
So I have reinforced them to last longer. They work great now. .My question is ,why don`t they make the glasses out of the same material as safety glasses? Why? It is because they would last longer and you wouldn`t have to buy another pair twice a year. So in my conclusion they make these glasses to break. They design them to have weak points. If I could exchange the lenses with safety glasses I would. They make a fishing pole to be tough ,why not glasses? They need to take some kind of abuse.
These glasses probably are amazing. They might be something to improve your fishing greatly, and they probably are a gamechanger. But theyre also probably like $200, making it so normal people who AREN'T bassmaster champs or anglers of the year cant afford them. I refuse to pay more for a pair of glasses than my rod or reel. And they probably only cost you guys about $10 max to make. Sorry thats just my opinion. Correct me if im wrong here.
Hey dude you don`t have to be sorry. It`s a rip off what they charge for those plastic tupperware glasses. The 10 to 20 dollar glasses are made to break too. Read my above post. Do what I do to cheap sunglasses and they will last you for a long time.
BLA BLA BLA all the talk about how they work. They work real good but for how long? Not very . They make these glasses cheap. they just don`t last very long. They break because of the brittle plastic they use.I have never had a pair of glasses last a whole season. I have a pair of Strike king glasses and they are my favorite glasses for fishing hunting and driving. They even cut through the bright white in a rain storm on the highway. But I have reinforced them with thin wire in four places.NEXT
I need to get a new one, might try S11. I'll try it out for yall and do a review.
