Our kids learn this from watching the new NBA. Back when I was a kid, yes Charles Barkley would jaw a bit but the team played as a team. Moe Cheeks, Moses Malone, Julius Erving, Eric Snow, Charles. Then Iverson. He had his moments but it was his play that spoke the loudest. I miss the old NBA I watched as a kid.

Or Mugsy Bogues. Those guys played their part in a team which is why they made it to the NBA. If Julian modeled his game after Curry or John Stockton he could’ve went a lot further

Julien should have never been allowed to bounce the ball off of another player's head. For a so called Christian school to allow that is shameful. One good hard pop to the face with a basketball by another player might have taught him to rethink that display of arrogance. Way to go Bosch for not being intimidated.

Very few youth athletes who hit puberty before all of their competitors and excel at 12-16 become elite athletes. Those who excel at 8-11, when everyone is the same size, are the ones to watch. Coached many and against many in Pop Warner football who dominated at that age, and went on to play D1 and in the pros. Those that dominate at 12-16 due to hitting puberty early, most learn they are dominant just because of their size and strength, and don't push themselves physically because they don't have to. If you are 6'2" and throwing 80MPH in baseball at 12, and everyone is telling you you are the next Bob Feller or Doc Gooden, why work hard to better yourself? For every one superstar at that age who realizes the only way to great success is hard work, there are thousands who are on welfare smoking dope all day.
