i installed my locs impulsively too almost 6 months ago. i did mine with two strand twists and interlocked my roots. i love it. never going back to loose natural hair again =)
@@penne4107for me I interlocked the root during the install. After i was done twisting I interlocked the roots to make them not unravel. I made sure to leave a bit of hair in the root so it wouldn’t be tight though
@@denisebishi5212 I know you don’t know me but I been considering doing the same thing on myself. If you don’t mind, could i give you my instagram and you send me a pic of your locs? I’d appreciate the reference 🙏🏾😬
Just wanted to say that your video gave me the confidence to go through with doing my own micro locs!!! This is major because I’ve been contemplating getting locs, watched tons of video on what kind of locs, couldn’t find a loctitian where I live, considered diy but gave up because I thought it would be too complicated, became frustrated with the current state of my hair and told myself that I’ll find a way and then came across your video!!! 😍🤩THANK YOU!!
You did an amazing job! They are so neat. I am so impressed that you did them all in one day. I would have been wearing a wig and and doing a few sections each day for a week lol.
You did such a good job!! I just decided to do them myself (after my stylist canceled on me last week), and this gives me hope that I can achieve what I want.
Looks lovely! Happy for you and glad that you're experimenting and finding things that make you excited about your hair again. Also 100% two thumbs up that you can always shave it off and start fresh; lol I've done it many times and it can also be a fun ride. Thanks for sharing! :)
You have inspired me so much to go ahead and start my loc journey. I absolutely love how yours look and it is the exact look I’m aiming for. Thanks for the inspiration!
WOW 💜 that's so nice and neat 👏 you did an AWESOME JOB 👌 I need a change, too. 😀 I really want to start with this journey, so can I do mine with mini braids instead of two strings twist?
This is definitely an inspirational I have medium to natural long hair with some very uneven parts and a few years ago I fell in love with this curly wig that I wore longer than I should’ve neglecting the back part of my hair creating the coolest thick dread which then became unruly to which I had to cut halfway and hopes to comb out the parts that were looser and now I wish I would’ve left it and if anything taken the patience and time to remove it I’m definitely thinking about starting my life journey and I think that starting it with twist store micro locks is definitely an easy way to go
I just did my hair with braid locs, and two strand twist on the ends. I loook like a skinned-chicken. My hair is low porosity and low density. I’m going to add some hair to ends ..
I like it, it inspire me to do it by my self instead of paying a lot of money. And I find it looking good at you. 😍❤ You now why I like the microlocs you can wear it loose.
I did the same with my hair. I've had them now for a couple years now. I do take them out so they don't lockup though. It works for me. Beautiful job 👏🏿
They are so perfect! How many locs do you have because I’m having a hard time determining if I have microlocs or small traditional locs. I started my locs on a short tapered haircut and I have fine hair. I see most people with microlocs have 200 or more.
Congratulations! I've had regular locs for 3 years now and have been seriously contemplating getting micro locs but im scared cause my hair is fine and low density
I literally just started my 2nd set of locs after cutting off my traditional locs that I had for 6 years. I also have 4C fine low density hair. I have short hair and had a tapered haircut when I started but I love that it’s going to grow into a cute bob. So go for it! I just posted a video on my page of my first retie 🤗
I twisted my hair over a two day period and after 4 wks they were slightly matted and i left too lazy to undo my hair..so indecided to just let it loc on its own. Im about 8-9wks in now but the hair keeps unravelling at the back n around the edges and i did t really do a grid pattern or middle part i did a side part. The retightening is the stressful part on your own, but i cant afford to pay anyone rn
I should’ve watched this before starting, bc now I realize mine are too big. Good thing I’m still at the back🤦🏾♀️but dang lol I already have over 50 done

I did the same thing 😂 I’m in my 2nd month and it’s definitely a journey 😅
If you don’t mind answering, do you interlock the roots right after installing the locs? Or once you need a retwist?
@@penne4107 I interlock my roots once a month

Same with the “if I don’t like it I’ll shave it off” 😂 I care about my hair, but also, it really will grow back.
Me too! I did my own, and I've BC 3 times, so if it doesn't work out I will shave it off, I will be 1 yr June 6th.

I've been CONVINCED. Starting mine this month.
Have you started?
You have such a radiant energy!I’m convinced!
I am ready to lock my hair again!!!
You did an amazing job! They are so neat. I am so impressed that you did them all in one day. I would have been wearing a wig and and doing a few sections each day for a week lol.
Haha for sure had to take it one section at a time when I was undoing and retwisting for smaller parts
You did such a good job!! I just decided to do them myself (after my stylist canceled on me last week), and this gives me hope that I can achieve what I want.
Yes go for it!
welcome to the loc community girl! i canr wait to see your journey !!!
Thank you!!
the day i did my micro locs this video popped up! i love your locs and i’m glad i saw your video
We’re twinsies 👯♀️😊
Beautiful job! Shout out to hubby for the help. Looking forward to seeing your journey progress.
You did a great job! Looks so professional 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you so much 🤗
Love these. Just did microtwists on my hair. So i am going into week 3 and so far I love them. I actually left the bottom out.
I instinctively installed my micro locs four days ago (and interlocked the roots) I LOVE this video/inspiration 🎉🎉
I should have watched your video before doing mine. You did an excellent job better than some professional. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Just had starter locks put in today, I believe I love it already,if I change my mind it can be undone.
Your locs loo beautiful. You did a great job! I’m considering micro locs so been looking at so many videos.
When creating the two strand twist, does it matter which direction you twist?

Thanks you 💕 I think everyone should shave it off at least once in their life 😂
OMG this just gave me so much hope because I want to do this to my hair so bad!! I want to do mine with extensions. You did such an AMAZING JOB!

I am in the process of unraveling for smaller parts as well.😊
Good luck! I just finished after working on and off for 2 weeks
You did a great job and it looks very pretty on you

Currently crying over my 4c hair. I’m going back to locs TODAYYYY!

Absolutely fantastic video! Makes me think I can do my own….however, the time…whew! 😅

They turned out really pretty.

Wow that would be way too much work for me but I'm glad it works for you! How long do you keep them in?
So you basically do a protective style not locs.
Well then you have mini twists not micro Locs
Been watching videos, loctitions are not close to my area, thinking of getting them started myself.
I did mine during the pandemic. Best decision ever!
Hey now 😂 Wow you did that yourself. I have a relaxer can I still get it or do I have to wait

Very cute. I wear this hairstyle for 2 weeks as protective style.
Cute!
It looks sooo good! I'm going to do mine just like this
Congratulations! I've had regular locs for 3 years now and have been seriously contemplating getting micro locs but im scared cause my hair is fine and low density
Go for it! You can always go back to regular locs if you hate it right?!

Did you braid the end? Also how do you do the retwist, do you ise the interlock method?
