CTCRC Brands Hatch GP - 29th June 2024 - Classic/Historic Thunder Race 2 - Capri 32V V8

Got a bad start after it snapped sideways when the lights went out, on the 2nd lap the front left control arm broke at the end of the GP Straight, the catch sand did it's job and it stopped about 6ft short of the barriers !

That is indeed a ferocious, wonderful beast. The control arm breaking at least saved you from the indignity of falling further backward though.

Thanks, yeah made worse by starting with rear tyre pressures a bit lower than 1st race, so take longer to work, then would have made some places back hopefully 🙂

Used to borrow my mates E reg modified twin turbo'd Brooklyn capri in the late 80's that was quick but your's looks purely vicious

Was a bit twitchy, let more air out the rears as psi was getting a bit high in 1st race, would have come good by the 3rd lap if I'd got that far 🤣

Unfortunate. Car sounds fab, a lot,like a late 90's/early 2000's ozzy V8 Supercar. Just found your channel, love the old slick 50 stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Gutting to see, I was in the multi coloured M3 infront when it happened, got very confused when I look behind out of Hawthorns and you were gone! Hopefully it's an easy repair
