You should try for this if that’s what you want. It shouldn’t come across as complaining to discuss how colorism and racism affects you in your ventures. It should be seen as a sign that a lot needs to change for black women and working black women. This is amazing. Good luck Jackie.

As a black woman working in fashion, you have hit the nail on the head. Fashion is very exclusionary towards us. It's really sad but you don't see many black people in this space unless they are models, artists, or through nepotism. Especially with luxury fashion. We are only "accepted" when we portray "urban" or streetwear fashion. Trying to be a designer in the luxury space has its own challenges. I truly hope that we will be able to break through these ridiculous barriers and create a space for ourselves in the luxury market (or any other market).
Black PLUS SIZE fashion influencer here and yes yes yes! I've been creating fashion content for a while now and have been blessed to work with brands that I love. However, I also experience barriers in opportunity, pay, and my content being valued by the exact brands that promote diversity and body inclusivity. I too push forward because I know what my God can do! It is interesting though to see the disconnect and sometimes disrespect we as black fashion Influencers experience...especially being plus size.

However, I can speak fashion when it comes down to it. Since we all know the industry is not designed for 👋🏿 start your own fashion "something" you have the following and it will be supported. Again, it will be challenging but it's fun ❤
I agree with what you said about starting over and what it’s like being an influencer! I am always shocked when people say I or someone I know is famous because we will literally considered to be NOBODY in a lot of different spaces. I’ll never forget I was invited to fashion week in my city and they made me and other creators stand outside while a humongous line of people got to go inside in front of us, even though we were there first. The said Step to the SIDE 😂 and there also were not a lot of black creators there either. It was interesting.
