This song breaks my heart but at the same time fills me with joy. It was my son's favourite song and I know exactly why. He was in that situation and needed handling with great care. Unfortunately none of us could do it and he died 3 years ago this month. He was the best thing that I'd ever found but I didn't handle him with care. So good to hear these great musicians hope you are listening somewhere Will all my love. Dad.
Such a catchy tune, l have been listening to the Wilburys for months on end. These beautiful Voices are a joy to me, too. I am Sorry for your loss, Ron Joss. Your son will always linger in your Memory, Bless you for your Precious love.
An extended version of one of my all-time favorites of legends Jeff Lynne, George Harrison, Tom Petty, (the late, great) Roy Orbison, and ever-so underrated Bob Dylan...PRICELESS!
I was gonna say, more like the late, great, ever so underrated GEORGE HARRISON and TOM PETTY.....both whom I believe were often terribly underrated while they were here with us. George, the always gentle, unassuming, "quiet Beatle" who was a guitar HERO....and Tom, the humble, sweet, everyman's man who was so talented musically, able to put together just a few words in the right way to convey soooooo much emotion in so many people. I love and miss them both so very much....as well as Mr. Roy Orbison, too... :( ❤️
Wowowowow, Putting these 5 mega artists together was incredible. Could you imagine if they were together longer? What a pleasure and a priviledge to hear these guys perform. will always be in awe!!!!
Wonderful extended version...just rolls along so nicely...how can any one not like this?? tap your feet time...and do your impressions of Bob/Tom/Roy/George
George and Roy were a great loss to music..George was one of the greatest guitarists of all time. He was the quiet Beatle, he could riff with the best if he wanted too, but his style was understated. he made it look so effortless...And The Big O...what a voice..smooth as silk.
And now Tom, too..... :(. I'm crying, still, months later. His loss was just too hard to take. I don't know why, but it just was/is. Maybe because his music is so ageless, timeless, iconic...?? His music was the soundtrack to my life. He was just always there....and I wanted him to always be there.....and now he's not :(. And I haven't been able to "get over it" yet.....
He wanted to be more prominent in the Beatles. However, Paul and John wouldn't allow it to happen. It wasn't Yoko that tore the group apart. It was selfishness and egos. It's interesting how Ringo, George, Paul, and John were more successful apart than together.
That is just the SWEETEST!!!😍 Wow.....what a fantastic memory for you. I love this song soooooo much. Can't imagine my husband (or anyone, for that matter) dedicating it to me. How beautiful...❤️
Roy Orbison was one of the 1st records mom and dad let me listen to. They enjoyed Roy also. The 1st concert I went to was Roy Orbison and he was great!! I'll never forget that. I only got to listen to George, Tom, Jeff and Bob on the radio, but I do have a few Beatles records. I miss them and wished they had toured, I love watching them play. 👍
Due to my involvement in my own music over the years these guys slipped under my radar now I just sit back and listen to these tracks and just get blown away brilliant !
I bought this single when I was in Jr High. It was the first TW I remember. I loved the video and love this version. Great guitars in this song. RIP Tom you are with the angels.
The traveling wilburys are awesome bridge George Harrison's guitar playing and Roy orbison's singing not to mention Bob Dylan and Tom Petty's contributions and Jeff Lynne also just a totally awesome band
for years i have loved these guys, from the old Lp,s cassette and dvd,now on line, words ring true in some lines, the best of the best, put together the best story line in songs ,long may this fantastic group ,songs, live on,its music history in our time,
If you're referring to the actual audio mixes, they were officially released on various singles back in the day. I got this version off a great quality bootleg (which included both albums, alternate versions/mixes, additional songs, and a DVD with a TON of video footage) before the albums were officially re-released. If you're referring to the software program I used to make the actual (low-tech) video on this page, it was Windows Movie Maker that came with my computer.
Thanks for sharing. Been listening to this song for 30 years and never heard this version before. It's great because I've always thought the original ended too soon. Not any more...
The last CD my Mother bought prior to her death in 1988. We didn't have too many CD's at the time they were so new back then, but this version and album will always have special meaning to me.
their music just about reaches all generations i don't wish to ridicule the music of any generation ,all have the right to theirown whatever they like ,so i care when people try to denigrate my likes ofmine Wilbury's ,fantastic
This is Amazing I lobed this album and group very sadly now only two wilburys left I still can't believe thst these five geniuses got together and created magic
This song makes me think of loyal friends & true companions, of spending life in the company of people you love so fiercely that when you pass time together, gazing on them brings tears to your eyes. The love of a true friend is sweet, potent venom, that annihilates hatred, & lays waste to despair. Forged by emotion so fierce, its bonds are stronger than steel. They cannot be broken.
While the TWs are a steadfast part of music history, I'd have them back in a heartbeat if they could be pulled out of time and back together if nothing else than to sing this song again. Kudos to whoever got these 5 together in the first place. Thanks for the extended play, made my morning finding and listening to it.
Actually the band was formed as a result of a collaboration between Tom Petty and George Harrison after George went to Tom's house in L.A. to get a guitar he kept there.Fantastic group of Class-A talent.
Oh, absolutely! I'm sooooooo with you on that one!!!! My God, how I miss this class-act group of talented musicians all playing together, the supergroup of all supergroups, making the BEST music together, doing it all so seemingly effortlessly, and having such a great time along the way. They LOVED making and playing music together, and it showed. So much talent together in one room, it's almost mind-blowing for me...
@@sallymaggiespotty it was actually George with Jeff. Jeff brought Roy, George went to Tom's top get a guitar and is Bob's studio. This was supposed to be a B side for George.... then they wrote and recorded 9 songs in 10 days.
The best musicians' grouping after Band Aid. Great respect My Lords. Odds are that you'll like one of these fellows. I rather like all of them. RIP Roy, George and Tom.
This song brings me to tears. they were down to earth. fame and fortune didn't come into it. Beautiful music. clean clear crisp. Roy Orbison was Ill. but his voice was there

English is not my native language but I'm so sorry to read that. Hope you can find relief in your heart. Greetings.
God bless you.....❤️ And may your son forever Rest In Peace, now that he's found it....
rON joss that’s heartbreaking. I also need to be handled with care. That’s why it has special meaning for me, but mostly the musicians. It’s the music
I hope you're doing well today, Dad.

RIP Roy, George and Tom.
Just precious I will always love these geniuses.it amazes me that people don't realize that Jeff Lynne and George harrison were the mainstays.
An extended version of one of my all-time favorites of legends Jeff Lynne, George Harrison, Tom Petty, (the late, great) Roy Orbison, and ever-so underrated Bob Dylan...PRICELESS!
+Scott Harbison Ever-so underrated Bob Dylan? Are we living on the same planet?

all of these music critics. just be glad there are wonderful people like these to make wonderful music. rest in peace George and Roy.
Oh, I couldn't agree with your comment more!!! Bless them all...❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've always just loved the chord progression in this song. George was my favorite Beatle. Dylan fan nearly as long as Beatles fan... 40 plus years...
fantastic guitar work by George Harrison on this track
Droosy1 1 Magic
Yup... Since he went, solo he had full artistic freedom. Basically, he didnt have to hear Paul say, listen to the way I hum and play that. 😉
One of the best songs and bands ever ! A great version too !
George and Roy were a great loss to music..George was one of the greatest guitarists of all time. He was the quiet Beatle, he could riff with the best if he wanted too, but his style was understated. he made it look so effortless...And The Big O...what a voice..smooth as silk.
George Oilwell I sooooooo agree with you!!👌

They were also a great blessing of love and light, to music, and the arts.
He wanted to be more prominent in the Beatles. However, Paul and John wouldn't allow it to happen. It wasn't Yoko that tore the group apart. It was selfishness and egos. It's interesting how Ringo, George, Paul, and John were more successful apart than together.
This was my dads song to my mom. I remember listening to the wilburys when i was little going on long road trips with my dad.

Here's 684...One of the best group of musicians to get together and play from their hearts...sorry some are not still with us...
Love this version.. you'll never get such a combination of such great talent
the heavyweight of the Rock, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, George Harrison & Roy Orbison, greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s sad how George, Roy and Tom went too soon.
I was going to leave a similar comment. Technically they have the highest power level of any band by far
i guess it's kinda randomly asking but do anyone know a good place to watch newly released movies online?
@Edward Rodney lately I have been using Flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Nixon Reece yea, I've been watching on Flixzone for years myself =)
Due to my involvement in my own music over the years these guys slipped under my radar now I just sit back and listen to these tracks and just get blown away brilliant !

How could anyone give "thumbs down" on this ? still miss George and Roy
And now Tom :(
Edgar Gonzalez and now Tom....I can't even take it :(

And now Tom
Max Jackson , Because they had their head up their ass and couldn't hear.😹😹😹
Thanks, nice song,
brings a tear to my eyes when I hear Roy Orbison sing his first line.
Jeff Lynne is a genius. The smartest man in recording
I Agree!! He is Now!!
Top notch
The ultimate "supergroup" bar none! Unfortunatly, I fear we won't see the likes of this again in our lifetime.
I love these guys we were lucky to have experienced them in there and our time. Thank yall .
thanks for this... it is beyond special. the Harrison guitar and Roy get me every single time.
Harrison's Cloud 9 also seemed to be the genesis point for this. Roy fucking Orbison! He just kills it.
Still gorgeous, you are all loved. Thank you.
This version needs airplay nice mix music. Songs that have talent, words, hard to find until you go back in time.
I bought this single when I was in Jr High. It was the first TW I remember. I loved the video and love this version. Great guitars in this song. RIP Tom you are with the angels.
What a fantastic song. Reminds me so much of a specific person from my past who I shared some wonderful times with but is sadly no longer in my life.

I love this!
I wish that was true!!! That we all have someone to lean on!!!
I imagine the thumbs down is the fact this had no video of the guys, not because of the music.
I just think of the 'thumbs down' being Australians or Kiwis...so its all good.
