Glad I found your channel! 😊 I would like to add one more thing, although most Dutch people are aware of this, and that is that the danger for fluddings is not only coming from the sea, but also from the side of the rivers. Lots of rainfall in Switzerland and Germany and the east of France can cause the rivers to swell up and push the water first over the summer dikes and then threatening to get to the winter dikes. These dikes are higher, but we had situations in the past in which the water stood so high that it got very dangerous. Villages were evecuated, animals were transported to other farms in not affected areas, who willingly opened their stables to give them temporary shelter. It got very silent in our country.... people were praying to God or meditating for the dikes to hold. If a dike, which is in many places made of mud, gets saturated, it can flush over a whole stretch away, opening a gateway for the river water and taking all the time more out. Luckily it didn't come to that, at least not recently 🙏

Over het water dat geloof ik zeker. Wat jullie niet weten is dat er in de duinen langs de kust enorme grote gaten gegraven zijn.... Ik ben heel benieuwd naar de horoscoop van Nederland met als geboortedag, 26 juli 1581, dit is de dag dat Nederland zich onafhankelijk van Spanje verklaarde en er voor het eerst sprake is van een onafhankelijke natie der Nederlanden. België (of wat we nu België noemen) bleef toen onder het bestuur van Spanje en heeft pas veel later haar onafhankelijkheid gekregen.

Hi Jens and Meg, fellow Astrologer here from The Netherlands 😉. First of all, I can confirm that the 'birth date' of NL is correct and works in practice.
Regarding the Stellium in Pisces, this is very obvious. Although most drugs are illegal in NL, NL plays a major role in producing and trading drugs worldwide. Another thing is the 'verzuiling', or pillars of different faiths and ideologies that NL has had for a long time. NL is mostly progressive and protestant christian, but there has been a large minority of catholics as well. To me, it feels very much Piscean to have different faiths (the 2 fishes swimming in different direction) but no open conflicts about it in recent history.
The Dutch being the 'Americans of Europe' because they are so loud is true in my experience. However, you shouldn't underestimate the regional differences within the small country. People in the northeast, east and southeast have much more the relaxed Taurus energy.
PVV becomes truly a deception for many people here in NL. To me, it has always been a tricky party, also because it has only 1 member (Geert Wilders himself), which is very undemocratic. Geert Wilders is also one of the people who has been the longest time active in politics, so he is probably not the one who brings positive changes that NL need.

Don't forget about the FvD in the Netherlands as either. Some are really on the good side, but I have my doubts about some others. Difficult to see for a lot of people.

Interesting thank you! I have also been looking at the chart of the Netherlands lately but I was taking the Acte van Verlatinghe as date, in 1581... Interestingly that would result in an opposite North and South node placement compared to this chart, with a Leo sun and Gemini moon. (And that would mean that we have just been through a Pluto transit to our North Node.) I am guessing both charts may have an influence, like different layers.
Yes, we know about this date (and the The Pragmatic Sanction of 1549 too, which also can be considered a starting date), but we chose the most recent one, kingdom of Netherlands because this one is tied to the current power structure that we are speaking of.

@@Benny_000 No it's really its own region. Where a lot of major cities are situated and the economic powerhouse, but we in the province Gelderland are really not Holland. It's like when you mix up California with the whole US, only because it's a dominant region.
You can say you go to Amsterdam and therefore to Holland, like saying going to Los Angeles you go to California, but the country is the Netherlands. Period.
The only informal name for large parts of Holland is the Randstad.
The Dutch Tourist office did promote the term Holland to lurk all the well paying tourist to their region and only now, when they (mostly the elites in the major cities) get sick and tired of the huge tourist crowds, they want to ship them to the rest of the country, changing their policy. So that's why the term sticked to foreigners who did not know any better.
Before that, in times of the VOC, they operated form the province Holland, so that seafaring province came in contact with other nations around the globe and they also used the name Holland and so it sticked to them. While Holland got very rich because of the sea trading tradition, other provinces stayed very poor for a long time.
So you see even within their own country, there is a well hidden dark side that a lot of ppl do not know about, it's even reflected in the name giving, where a minor part wants all the attention and wealth for themselves, until it's get inconvenient for them.

Holland can be used as the informal name and there's nothing anyone can do about it. That's just how informal language works.
