Man Mikey is, was, and always will be a big inspiration not just in skateboarding but with my whole outlook on life. Glad I can come back too watch this part
This was a time when an every day skateboarder with say 5 - 7 solid years under their belt could watch a pro level video and get super inspired on some of the tricks done. The new generation of skateboarding is nothing short of evolution. Nollie flip back nose blunt down a 12 rail. Where do you even start with that. AHAH (1998 - 2014) skateboarder.
Kareem wasn’t wrong. A lot of big rails and hubbas which is the main part of skating nowadays. Love this part Mikey has had a good career in skateboarding.
Very talented person dont see many pros that skate leaving and doing something differently career wise remember watching this dvd countless amount of times in high school
All his sponsors dropped him pretty much all at once. He was forced to quit skating. He said fuck all and made something out of himself to support his family. Mikey didn’t leave skateboarding. Skateboarding left Mikey. Don’t get it twisted.
I get the “doing something productive to support family” but at the same time you get what you give in skateboarding and if your passionate about it money, fame, and attention wouldn’t change that brother he left skateboarding no one forced him to stop.
Heathcliff alien just made a lot of changes back in the day. they added a lot of people who really didn’t fit the style. dill and ave just had an edge and i don’t think mikey did.
Watched this video probably 100's of times on VHS back in the day..
*Years* worth of stoke sessions with the homies right before we go skate... the good ol' days, back when things seemed so much simpler.
It’s gotta be my favorite skate vid
Super motivating
Me too! Good memories.
Just 100’s .. noobie
Man Mikey is, was, and always will be a big inspiration not just in skateboarding but with my whole outlook on life. Glad I can come back too watch this part
Man, his steeze when he pulls up to the rail right before the music drops always gets me hyped.
Checking in from 2022 still love this part
m T mike Taylor
Back when skate clothing was good.
Some textbook examples of an Overcrook and switch front board , such good form 2:48

I literally just came across his channel and was like Mikey Taylor? Wtf is that him
@LooopQ even worse he runs some type of investment group.
He is a investment consultant now, and after being influent in his city, he is now councilor
Dude is now a councilman of Thousand Oaks😎
Word? That's wild. 😮 I work in public service so this is a big deal to me. Thanks for sharing.
RIP Van Wastell
Watched it till my old VHS literally burned it.
That nollie boardslide is my favorite.
I grew up watching this vhs and his part almost daily when it came out.

Back when crooked grinds where what feeble grinds are now. Don't act like some of you don't remember.😉
Mikey is now one of the members of the Thousand Oaks City Council.
“True future of skateboarding”
Lol he quit and went to be an entrepreneur…props to him though. This part still slaps.

Where is Kareem Campbell now?
The Koston "K3", probably one of the dopest and best looking skate-shoes of all time 💯💯💯
I had no idea that mikey’s nollie game was so strong
You know how sometimes you watch an old part and say damn this part is still not outdated in present day. This is definitely not one of them.
We need Paul's! De-interlace it though 😁 and 1440x1080
Sick trans world uploaded this wornder how many views it would get compared to the other uploads of if
Big pants gang!
i wear big pants to block the vision of landing down a drop or set.
I'm remember that !!!

To be fair, everyone in the video was the future of skateboarding; the video was called in bloom meaning a video with all up and comers lol.
Very talented person dont see many pros that skate leaving and doing something differently career wise remember watching this dvd countless amount of times in high school
MT Mike Taylor. Mike, to me, is pretty much the Adam Sandler of skateboarding.
🤣they are similar looking too
the fucking cornrows at the end, im dying...
Still sick
wow
He was like the nyjah of early 2000s
After this it went down the drain for him
Legit
From pro skater to politician. Thats crazy
The future of skateboarding the intro said. That didn’t age well
Crooken grinds goin dumb! Btw its MIKE now

Why did all his sponsors drop him ?
Dang he use to be so cool
used to ?
one of the reasons why dill and ave left alien
Elijah Luna why they dont like him?
Heathcliff alien just made a lot of changes back in the day. they added a lot of people who really didn’t fit the style. dill and ave just had an edge and i don’t think mikey did.
stinkbug nah dill gives mikey props in an alien tour video.
Cool Bananas...Quality
Good as an am, beyond overrated as a pro
The camera work makes this video stuck I feel bad for the talent
This was the best of the best at the time
