God bless this guy for standing in there and answering the same question over and over again, it’s ridiculous. He’s not gonna give the answer we all want him to give. He’s gonna let everyone know in the offseason, give it a rest and enjoy the ride
A pro’s pro. Even his interviews are immaculate.
He's had the same response and he's very good at staying disciplined and not going off that script.
Is he supposed to say anything different?
Because he is going to free agency. That has been clear since day 1. The highest bidder will get Juan Soto long term.
@@Economics70 the starting point will be 10 years/500 million, so he could easily get ~600 million
@@sylpascale7673 he’s going to get more
@@Humma_Kavula Nope. It's a good response.
His response makes me like this dude even more. Class act. We need to do everything to keep him in the Bronx.
Yankees nation loves you Soto and all the team . Keep this whole group together please 🙏🏽 🤞🏽
We love you Soto!! Please be a forever yankee!
Leave bro alone, lol. It’s pretty obvious he wants to stay. Gotta give bro the BAG.. that’s it.
Yeah these reporters are fkn idiots.
i want him to stay so badly
we got so much money in Cole, Stanton and judge. it's going to be tough but I agree he needs to be here. I can only imagine what other teams are going to offer him. it's going to be staggering numbers. In the
He needs to go. He’s not old and slow enough
@@NYislanders53 🤣💯
Me too il give up a finger to keep him
@@NYislanders53if the Yankees want him to stay they gotta pay the man
Soto ❤
It’s nice to see a player actually enjoy playing in NY
12 years, Blank Check
Good grief 🤦♂️
Ok 200 million a year is that good?
That's pretty cheap.considering he's offered a blank check. I was gonna say, sure. 12 years, 100 billion per and a 51% ownership stake in the team upon retirement. Plus a tub of green apple jolly ranchers.
Nope, not enough. Scott Boras is going to get two blank checks whether it is from the Yankees or someone else.
You mean 12 years , keys to the city 😂
Just give him the key 🔑 to the city 🗽
I’m not Hispanic but I hope our huge Hispanic fan base is selling him on staying in New York. Get it done my Latino brothers, make him stay!
That's a given, we got that. It's the ENTIRE fan base that has to sell him on staying. That would hit much harder. And yes, he's watching how we treat his teammates also. Let's chill with the boos, even if the individual/team is struggling, and encourage and cheer harder! We all have a part! Then, once he signs for life after seeing the love, we can go back to normal and boo and be negative...🤣🤣 Nah, I'm playing?😀🗽 Let's go Yankees!!
We’re trying, man. We’re trying.
I ain’t from NYC but from upstate ny but I’m trying man 😂
Leave this man alone and let him get comfortable with the Yankees and he will sign. Team success will get him signed.
Playing for the Yankees is the top of the top. The pinnacle. He ain’t leaving.
It's like a tussle between reporters and the team's media trainers.
"If they ask you about THIS, be careful, they may be trying trick you into saying THAT" lol.
I wish they wouldn't bug players about this stuff. Let him play. But that'll never happen with modern media.
Soto just fits as a NY Yankee! Let’s make him our adopted NY son ❤❤❤
If Juan Soto answered what he really felt inside, this is what he would say “I will go with the highest bidder, stop asking me the same nonsense. The Yankees have an enormous fan base but that other team in New York has an owner with enormous pockets and he will give me what I’m looking for which is close to what Ohtani received in Los Angeles”
The mindless masses dont like the truth. They like "hUmiLiTy".
Lmaoo bro he’s not going to the Mets.
Sounds good. Give it to him and let’s play ball!
Kim Stewart sign Juan Soto sign long terms contract ❤😊for Yankees
Wow I’m so early
He’s a mercenary. “My doors is always open”.
U a mercenary looking at his videos.
His PR team is immaculate
Soto is Dominican
❤
This guy is the perfect Yankee
Damn I wish he would be a yankee for life but his answers worry me. Either way the man is an all star.
This would be the smartest move the Yankees would have made in a long time..he’s only 25 and has many years ahead of him.. unlike our many signings of old washed veterans than end up being a bad contract
these reporters soo annoying. dude is saying ya ill take a deal if you pay me what im worth.
I don’t see him going back to the yanks. But we’ll see
Cool, now say what you're basing it on. Because the Yankees have the money. He wants to be on winners and the Yankees give him a great shot at championship opportunities. He seems to like his teammates and they him. Fans are showering him with love and he seems to be happy as a Yankee.
All that doesn't mean he will stay, but I know of nothing that has pointed the other direction.
@@snerdterguson I’m basing it off being a human. Idk who would want to play for the Yankees anymore. The fan base is too toxic. Everyone either hates cashman or boone or players. The only way I see him coming back is if they win it all this year. But even then, there’s no medium with Yankee fans, it’s either super high and happy, or super low and dark/toxic. Who wants that.. Such a bad environment.
I think it's very unfair to start putting this in his head so early in the season, He seems like a good guy tried to answer everything and did a good job handling the media, good for him, just saying
Yes it’s so unfair to talk about a 700 million dollar contract😂
@@Mark-vr7os was just saying wrong time and place is all not sorry you got triggered
It's way too early for this. Nyc needs to chill on their approach. Let the man cook!!
I just don’t see how they can keep him. They have so much money on the books already. Gonna be rough
You don’t see how? They have over 30 million coming off this year. Add the 30 mill Soto is making you can easily pay him 60 mill a year without adding payroll. Then 3 years after this Stanton and DJ come off. I’m sure Hal won’t mind keeping payroll the same for a couple years to keep Soto.
Oh and finally, it’s the Yankees. They profit 600+ million a year and that has increased every year. That’s profit I said. They can pay Soto’s contract in full in a season or so if they wanted.
If they really wanted they can afford a Soto at each position.
Simple. He's paid 31 now and 90 million is coming off the books after this season, meaning Sotos salary plus an additional 60 million or so. Then the Yankees have a bevy of cheap in house options to supplement the lineup, rotation and bullpen.
There's no financial holdup to resigning him. And within a couple years there will be a new CBA where they will almost certainly raise the thresholds again.
@@snerdterguson 2 years after signing Judge to a blockbuster contract, which was just a few years after signing Cole and Stantont to blockbuster deals, you think they're gonna go even further over the luxury tax and sign Soto to possibly a record breaking contract again? I'm just saying it would be rough, especially given the market competition they're gonna have. There's gonna be a Padres or Giants type team out there ready to sign him as well
90 mil coming off the books after this season and then money keeps coming off the books in coming years
There's other players on the team 🙄
@@user-ln6re2rz5lso what’s your point? They have a bunch of guys who are going to be making the league minimum for years.
Yeah. And Soto is one of the players currently on the team. He's already accounting for 31 million against the threshold. Next year we get money freed up in positions we have young, talented and cheap in house options for. So instead of 17 million for Rizzo, we can maybe pay league minimum to Ben Rice, or just see if Soto can man first. We lose the money paid to Verdugo and instead have Dominguez/Jones.
The Yankees are much better set up financially than many fans seem to think. To the point that we can give Soto another 19 mil or so a season and still have plenty of room under the threshold to work with. We've got a championship contender as it stands and we also have a top 10 minor league system with which to supplement our high salary players.
@@snerdterguson interesting
They do not have close to 90million coming off lol
Why ask the same question a trillion times y’all making him uncomfortable. Let him play for now we will know if he gets sign eventually.
15 years $500 or $550 that’s it
My God I'd leave just because I'd be sick of the press asking the same stupid question over and over. He just got here, leave him alone.
Youre never going to get anything out of him in an interview like that. If Hal wants to sign him during the season, the ball is in Hal's court
He is going to stay, but It’s going to be expensive
Ain’t giving him more than 500 tho
I would love to hear him say, "This is exactly where I want to spend my career." I guess we're not going to hear that!
Duh, dude is trying to get as much money as possible
Why would he say that even if it’s true?
@Platerpus7 Just sick of guys constantly treating the game like a business while the rest of us are just trying to scrape by. I'm sure Soto is a great person, and we all know he's one heck of a ballplayer. I'd just like a return to the Jeter days of ballplayers wanting to commit to one team.
Yeah, how dare the labor in a sports league try to get as much as they can from management.
Soto is in his first couple months as a Yankee and yo think he owes you the kind of loyalty Jeter had? Come on man, that's just too much.
@@snerdterguson OK, fine. Not real worried about it tbh. Have a good one.
The Yankees need to do anything and everything to keep Soto.
Stay! Wear the pinstripes for the rest of your career! 15-year 750 mil
This guy is gonna be a problem if he signs with the Yanks. He will be bigger than Romeo Santos in the Hispanic Nyouican fan base.
I don't think he will stay. He will never be the top dog because of Judge and he wants to be the top dog where he signs.
Not sure if he really cares about that tbh
I think if he wanted to stay he'd say: I want to stay...but just like Judge...I will only stay if the offer is fair.
If you really knew him you’ll know he don’t care about that. He’s very humble at heart.
@@jessc.8510 You really don't know him, you are forming opinion based of your gut , just like I am. He seems to be big at show boating and like the attention. With Judge around he's still 2nd banana.
"Trust me doodz"
What do they expect him to say?
Can they leave this guy alone and let him play, or just ask him about baseball ?? You can tell he doesn’t want to answer it, I hope this doesn’t become an every day thing.
😅
Leave him alone😢
it's not up to him it's up to shallow hal and little brian cashman.
Fist
He will never sign in season. As a Mets fan he would be stupid not to use the Mets massive offer as a ploy to get more money from where he really wants to go. The only way the Mets get him is if they give him more than Ohtani.
the mets never made onthani an offer and yankees will sign him back
@@michaelcaputo4187 big difference this off-season the Mets have 150 million coming off the books and an owner that will want to make some noise not saying they will get Soto but the Mets very well could offer the most and not get him
@@iunstoppable1 thats fine but mets wont end up with him also the yankees might sign him in mid season with the rumors going around Steinbrenner said he wants soto to be a yankee for the rest of his career

Dude, what a loser!! This is not a Mets channel haha
If he is, then it will prove the haters right that he just cares about getting the biggest bag. Because there's no competition reason you pick the Mets over the Yankees.

Juan Soto should say with The New York Yankees 😊😊😊 Get Juan Soto a long time Contract with the New York Yankees 😁😁
WHAT DOES A PLAYER LIKE THAT NEED AN AGENT FOR? DID MIKE TYSON NEED DON KING? IF YANKEES WANT HIM THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEAL WITH HIM ALONE WITHOUT SCOTT BOREDOM IMO
What an incredibly ignorant comment.
Because despite what you think, a contract and s more than just x years for x dollars. They are legal documents. Only an idiot would do it on their own if they don't have experience/knowledge of negotiating terms and all the legalese. You need an agent so you can tell them what you want and where you're interested in playing, so you can then concentrate on the actual sport. May as well ask why union workers have union reps.
@@snerdterguson 8 decades and old school. All this agent for players business stinks. Unions; you mean the outfit that has the deadbeat employees making the same as the working employees? Too many lawyers and agents have screwed up too much.
