You are very thorough and detail-oriented, I like it
Thank you!
This video has been vital to my installation. Thanks man. I hope this all turns in with little to no hiccups. It’s my first build.
Awesome instruction. More in depth and detailed than corsairs installation video. Thanks!
(h60x for reference here -120mm/1 fan on radiator only) 3 pin connector into cpu_fan slot on motherboard, even if your cpu fan slot has 4 pins the 3 pin will still work. This gives power to pump. 4 pin connector gives power to fan, connect it to any 4pin sys_fan connector if you dont have a cpu_opt. The 3rd cable here is for all the RGB, the RGB will not work if you don't connect this to the ARGB connector on motherboard OR a ARGB controller, if you connecting it to ARGB controller the splitter included is needed to control each RGB separately. every additional fan on the cooler will be another 4pin and functions the same. IMPORTANT - without connecting the third cable referenced in this comment you only get power, no RGB or RGB customization. You need the ARGB header on your motherboard or ARGB controller if you want RGB or any customization. There are 3 cables in total from the cooler itself(single fan 120mm radiator) and 4 for the bigger one(240mm radiator/2 fans)one used in this video.
TLDR: if you dont have ARGB header on motherboard or ARGB controller you have no RGB. so if you dont want to pay extra for a controller or the more expensive option being a higher end motherboard, avoid buying it unless you dont care about the rgb for some reason lol.
I bought and rgb liquid cooler, don't have argb connecter or care to but a controller. I just want my cpu to be cool, idc about lights. Is it ok to not connect the rgb lighting?
No other person helped me understand everything I needed to, extremely thankful for your help man. Subscribing
Thank you so much for the detail. So many installs blow right past important things assuming I know what I’m doing. 🙏
Thank you for this! You're my hero today. Since the H100x comes with no documentation in the box, and the manual link on the website is dead, I had no idea how to do this. With your help, I got it all set up!
Excellent guide, very thorough!
So, I was still confused. Now half my original RGB is not working. I don't understand any of it unless i see the exact cable, from it's source going into the necessary port.
Plus, i don't have that iCue board.
Could you explain the port part better???? Why did you give me so many options on where to plug in the CPU_OPT, I’m lost and can’t get my cpu working because I forgot which ports go where
Relax. It’s your problem, get 100 pushups 😆
@@vitalye1940eh fugg off guy, I got it fixed so 😂
Thanks very helpful
Very important thing is as well, the best effects and long life to AIO is when installed on top and radiator is above processor (physics thermal laws).
Do it as exhaust is the best as it pumps out hot air out there. Some fancy chassis makers do it in the front for fancy looking. Bullshit. Make it cost effective and extend longevity of it.
yikes, all my standoffs looks different. Intel bag had a larger set with slots, and smaller without 😕
Not sure what I'm doing wrong I'm following your instructions step by step and still can't get my lights to work "I have the command fan/rbg hub thing like you have in your video*
Idk why you installed the fans where the connectors face away from the back of the case including where the barcodes on the fan face the display of the case too smh. Facing mine the other way so it looks normal
Thanks for this! Im new to building a pc and its been a time. I have to get a converter for my rgb motherboard to use the argb on the pump/fan of the corsair.
Im hoping this is the last step! 🙏🙏🙏 appreciated this video!
Hey man great video. quick question what would you recommend i do if i lost the connecter for the RGB where can i order a new connecter and what are they called?
thanks fot the video very useful 😀
I wish I knew what I was doing wrong. My pump LED just will not connect in the order you show.
Do I have to connect the 3 pin into my x commander for it to appear in icue?
So if I don’t have the Corsair connector hub I can’t change the rgb?
You can still do it through your motherboard's 5V ARGB header if your motherboard has it and run your motherboard's ARGB software. That's how I use it.
You are a fucking genius with your teaching video, I will test later this way to configure rgb but seriously, your way to explain is simple awesome to us, the noobs
This cooler dont have a lcd screen right?
Great video! Stupid question but idc im new, im confused how this is water cooled solution, does this setup have to be paired with a reservoir and more tubing etc? Thanks
Whenever I turn the computer on it the aio rgb just kind of flashes but doesn’t turn on, One of the splitters does have a broken pin could that be the problem?
I was always told you wanted the tubing up to avoid air pockets ?
My rule of thumb is to have the tubing down so avoid air getting into your pump. The air can escape through the tubing and into your pump, if the tubing is up when front mounting.
Your right. You want the actual pump lower than the top of the rad where it connects with tubes or you will get air and reduce life span of the pump.
Why my rgb isn't working?
Did you figure it out? My fans are working but rgb is not
dude. how the hell did you remove the intel bracket.
Why is my mounting bracket moving
i bought this corsair rgb and now im undertand that i cannot use it with corsair ICUE. idk how to control the rbg lights!
Check your bios for rgb control
Open rbg bro
@@JamesJames-kb4fl Hey mate, i tried out that to but at the end Open RGB didnt recognize a bunch of hard including the Aio so i fix it installing the tedious Armory Crate... yeah its crap but at least i can get full control of all the components.
si el que viene de fabrica viene para am5 , tienes q ponerle el adaptador para am5 pero .....tambien el blackplate?
si, sino de donde se atornilla el pump?
I like it.
what is your box.
@@BlaziiX_rl box?
So this can't be used with a 7700x??
Yes, it has a AM5 bracket
You really deserve more than 6.5k views!
Is it good with Ryzen 7 7800x3d ?
I have the Corsair H100X RGB Elite AIO installed on Intel 9th Gen i7 9700K which is 95w TDP processor. Running the processor at stock speed while playing games I'm seeing around mid 50c at most. For kicks and giggles I pushed the i7 9700K to 5.1GHz the temps while playing only reached around mid 60's.
I want to do more research on the best fan curves and stuff like that before I push it for the long term.
So this works on lga 2011-3?
Is there usb involved?
No, the H100x does not have any USB required items.
does the aio come with the am5 brackets?
The brackets used for AM4 are also used for AM5.
@@RTC1200 ok thanks i was worried lol
@@RTC1200 i'm quite literally putting mine together right now
@@NotRyleeYT It’s okay, it should be labeled on the packaging of the retention hardware.
Can you still adjust the fans and pump rgb through iCue if they are connected to the motherboard 5v 3pin connecter (instead of using the corsair hub)?
@@brenthorvai1657 I believe I covered that in the video. But no, you can’t.
I love you
I messed up and broke it
Well don’t do that
Why wtf don’t you just say, plug this one in here and this one in here, so annoying I can’t get it to work but got everything else installed correctly
For anyone with isses with icue software i managed to control the rgb via msi mystic lighting software and not icue. All my case fans and keyboard and mouse work woth icue but not the liquid cooler. I have an msi motherboard but it will be the same for asus and others.
Let me know if you need any help. I finally cracked it. All working fine. No thanks to the internet or customer service
@@sntki8561how’d you do it??? Help plz
@@sntki8561I need help with mine I have a b650 aorus elite ax motherboard
Terrible
?
Is it weird for my am4 backplate to have a gap between the motherboard when I install the standoff pins?
