Hey Jamie. Yes, I still get out there, just haven't been posting. I have no plans on getting the new Manticore. Pretty sure one of the local guys will pull the trigger on one however.

what's the difference between Nox 600 and 800 i only hunt in water neck deep which one should i get ?
The 800, has an additional frequency or "gold mode". It's designed for use in heavily mineralized areas and gold fields, like in a desert environment, say Arizona or similar. I have seen guys use the "gold mode" in fresh water but I haven't seen it used in salt water. The 800 also has a finer adjustment scale and user stored program capability. Most guys around here ( salt water) use a 600 and find plenty of jewelry. I'd say, unless you have a specific need for the 800, stick with the 600 and buy a good scoop ... lol. Hope my answers helped. They are both great machines. The top machines in my area are #1 NOX 600 #2 Excalibur #3 NOX 800 #4 CTX 3030 #5 Fisher CZ 21
My buddy justdigit63 on Instagram has a NOX 800. Hit him up to see if he's ever used the "prospecting" mode in salt water. 👍

Bummer on the chain. That would have been nice, then all you’d have to find is a big gold clock to hang off of it. 😂 I’d like to know what that character means or symbolizes on that ring. Nice little 925 heart pendant. Planning on hitting Port A or the area near PINS this weekend. Water or sand. If the waters not rough. _/

I have two vids on this topic. The link above is one of those two. Basically, on North Padre Island, your good anywhere except Mustang Island State Park and Padre Island National Seashore. Both of those places require an entry fee and boundaries are well marked/defined. Check out those vids and email me if you have additional questions or want the locations of some other beaches, not on the Island, to hunt 👍👍.

Nice finds! What’s your strategy on going to the beach when it’s calm waters? Or was did it just happen to workout that way?
Hey Sean. This was at a Bay beach, not the Island. I'm waiting on winter to hit the Island again. That's when the maintenance crews stop grading the beach into the frost cut with all the heavy moving equipment. You would think with all the summer traffic the Island would be a gold mine. Well, the opposite is true. All that grading just buries anything heavy leaving only the light trash. You can get lucky for sure but, the Bay beaches are WAY more consistent during the summer months. Check my more recent vids and you'll see.
