I just had quadruple bypass the last week of April and I'm so lucky to be here. When I woke up in ICU recovery there was a man standing beside me with all the doctors and nurses but he left once I came around. Two days later I asked the nurse looking out for me about him. She said he was the senior Chaplin of the hospital and he performed last rites on me because I coded twice and that shook me up really bad and I'm really not an emotional person, the nurse held my hand and she say there is no shame in crying, get it out of your system. I spent seven days in ICU, my last day I thanked all the nurses and doctors who saved my life and I broke down crying while doing it like a child. It was a very emotional experience for me, especially since I had no support, it was only me.
I'm 43 an had a heart attack and cardiac arrest on 22nd Feb 2022. They have told me there was minimal damage done too. I know it's only been just over a week from mine but my emotions are all over the place. I'm really trying to process all this. Thank you for this and hope you're doing well. ♥️♥️♥️
I am sorry you had to go through this! I am happy to tell you that I am doing great. I had a stress test done a few months ago and my heart of in great shape! My best advice is to take your prescribed medicine, make the necessary dietary changes to lead a heart healthy life and you will be fine. It sure is a life changing event.
I'm so glad u are here to share your story!! To take the time to make this video ,to maybe help someone else is wonderful .You never know you might be saving my life or anyone who watched this video or shared your story with family and friends.Thank you!!!!!!!!!Thank you!!!!!!!
Im @ 6:40 (had to pause & comment) I pray that you are healed from that, or doing a lot better! I know the trauma bay/emergency room inside of the er. There’s a whole team working on you & they’re moving very fast.(The team who runs the code) They each have their own task. They put you a couple of IVS.and then ask about Advance directives for…it’s a little scary. !!
Thank you for watching and I am happy to report I am recovered and doing very well with my heart health. Several months after my visit to the ER, I was able to reach back out to thank the nurse that stood out to me and helped calm my nerves during that scary time in the Trauma Bay.
Thank you so much. I have had almost a parallel experience ( STEMI three months ago). You have done a great job of explaining your experiences. I have needed that reassurance because my recovery has brought great gratitude, along with loneliness and anxieties. When you described the Whoosh I stopped in my tracks. That was exactly what I remember but wasn't sure was ❤real. One big takeaway from my experience (I waited three days to seek help and almost didn't make it) is Call The Ambulance, Call the ambulance. They want you to if you are having symptoms. They know the dangers you are in and can triage you to the front of the line if you are runnin😂g out of time for intervention and survival. I waited too long to call and almost died. Call for an ambulance.😊😊
Hi Bonnie, thank you for taking the time to comment. You are the 4th person to tell me they also experienced the "whoosh" sensation during the procedure. Continued good health to you going forward and be sure to follow your cardiologists recommendations.
I had heart attack 4th nov 2018,urgent angioplast, stents fitted, death of part of left ventrical, internal bleed in groin post op,4 days on my back not able to move ,very scary, still have flash backs of cath lab, glad you came through
Gio it’s a long recovery but your family with be so grateful you have recovered. I had a heart attack last year by the time l reached hospital l was in a coma. I had been feeling unwell for over six months been to the hospital a few time but kept saying l was fine. I had two stents flitted and now have heart failure l know how lucky l have been. My Brother passed away six months before my heart attack. It taken me over a year to recover but suffer fatigue and sleep over 12/15 hours at night. ❤️
Thankfully, I am fully recovered since my heart attack. With the exception of the multiple pills I now take daily, my life has returned to normal. I was very lucky that mine was detected early and I ended up with no noticeable damage to my heart muscle. I now focus on eating healthier and moderate exercise to help prevent it from happening again. I wish you all the best in your continuing recovery from yours. Be well ❤
Nice video, i had a similar event, but i kept it under the wraps till one month which started after 7 days home treadmill excercise and on 8th days my chest pain started which i never had in my life and started occuring regularly even after stopping the treadmill. My treatment got delayed because i thought it could be due to the trademill excercise. But after 27th day i faced a life threatening freeze in between while going to my office car parking from office desk. That moment i realised its my heart, and was also 99% LAD in the test.
@@GioandJC How lovely of you to answer. I am delighted. I gather your health is continiously well. For this I am comforted. And your reaching out to the Team was so vital for the fact that, as you may be well aware of, the emphatic side of this world has slid to a dangerously low level and all attempts of conveying sympathy and thankfulness carries so much more weight than ever before. God Bless you and stay safe. ❤
I went through every single thing you mentioned . My heart was very severe and had a stent inserted , it’s been more than two years ago and I was 34 then . I still experience and pinch here and there . How about you ?
Not quite sure what you mean by "pinch here and there" but I find myself overly concerned every time I have the slightest of chest pain or real heart burn. Thankfully though, I am doing great and my heart is strong according to my Cardiologist.
Hi how ru now ? Iam Srinath and iam just 32 years, i got mild heart attack this year March 21st 2019. And I got 2stents. Since then I feel too tired and weak and heart burn also
Same shit different story but went into my wrist for the stent. Blood pressure tablets? Are they Beta blockers ? Iam not happy about taking them as I don't have high blood pressure and stattins are a bit controversial. Iam wondering what life is going to be like from no tablets to 4 tablets. Going home today from hospital this is my 5th day. Just a thought was you having a heart attack or did you have a heart attack ? I the same thing as you and you look well , i can't get my head around the medication.
I too wasn't too happy about the medication post heart attack. However, now that it has been a few years since my heart attack the daily medication has become part of my routine. I take 1 Low Dose Aspirin, 50mg Plavix (blood thinner), 125mg Atorvastatin, 10mg Lisinopril, 50mg Metoprolol and 25mg Zetia along with extra vitamin D and multi vitamin pack. So, I am on blood thinners, 2 statins and 2 BP meds. The main thing that annoys me is that I can barely bump into something and I will bruise (blood thinners). Aside from that no other side effects.
Thank you for your story. I'm going in for and angioplasty with stent in 5 days. Did you have water retention in your legs and tingling on your left arm. Thanks and God bless.
All the best with your procedure! I did not have water retention in my legs and it was a dull ache in my left arm that prompted me to go to the hospital that evening.
Plss help aim filipino my 2d echo said i have suspicius left coronaray blockage my cardiologist said me we need angiogram i dont have money for angiogram plss help me aim 25yrs old male not smoker drinker i have high blood preassure since 19yrs old i have high cholesterol plss help me sorry for my english any amount i also depression anxiety panick attack and fear of blood
