He's not even that good at it imo, there are people who draft much better like BigSpin. Personally I consistently hit 12-0s, I'm not a great player but I've figured out how to always win the draft. You can try my technique: 1. Check big spells (poison, lighting, fireball). If there's only 1, automatically pick it. If there's more, check the kind of support troops there are, like if there's lots of spam pick poison. 2. Check win cons. Are there lots of tanks? Pick strong building or fisherman. Lots of bait? Pick a small spell. 3. Check for cheese cards. These are cards that can dominate an entire game on their own if good counters aren't available, like sparky or minion horde. You might be able to cheese your opponent, or prevent yourself from getting cheesed. Tactical plays: - don't pick a card you want if you think there's no chance your opponent is going to take it. You can pick it later - don't be afraid to make an unbalanced deck if it counters your opponent. Like if you picked lighting, and your opponent responds by only picking spam, snag minor poison. You now have a maybe useless card, but you counter your opponent's entire defense. If your opponent picks the only big spell, consider these options: • balloon miner / freeze • midladder spam (MK, ebarbs, pekka etc) • rocket cycle • chip (marcher nado, cracker) I love this mode cause there are so many nuances and once you learn to draft, you can beat anyone. I hope you don't give up on it and get to have the same fun I do
