Update- I have sold my Mavic 3 Classic and no longer have access to check whether or not this method still works. Keep in mind this video was released months ago so it could very well be that DJI released an update (or several) to prevent users from doing this workaround. DJI is known for this and is the reason they never implemented mapping on the Mavic 3 line other than the enterprise. - Happy flights everyone
I have dji rc with screen. My mission have 260 waypoints. When i open mission waypoints in dji fly, the app restart. After various test, the mission open and then i click in go button. The drone go to first waypoint, câmera down, Take photo and hover, dont go to second waypoint. Can you help me?
Awesome! You are godsend! Let's just hope DJI will not do anything with the DJI file folders and lock them up if they release any firmware or software update and disable any access with this work around. Or they'd better just release the SDK. End of story.
Thank you. This approach will also allow you to simply move WP from an Ipad to rc pro. I tried a simple copy but it didn't work. Never thought to rename the file the same name as an existing rc pro wp file
Great video and awesome workaround! I am wanting to use the Mavic 3 for larger scale mapping that would require several batteries to complete. Is there anyway to set it to pickup where it left off when I change the batteries?
If I’m not mistaken you can choose which waypoint you start in on the remote right before you hit the go button. I haven’t flown waypoint missions in a while so I may be wrong
You can use any program that has an output file as a .KMZ which is what DJI uses. You’ll just follow those steps and then replace the file like I did in the video

You have to follow the instructions. All waypoints are saved in the internal storage. The first part of this tutorial is exporting from your internal to your external

To my Knowledge, Dji customer drone (like Mavic 3 classic, mavic air 2, mini 3, etc.) can NOT continue the mission if lost signal occur, correct?? I really need that drone will continue mission if lost signal occur during mapping mission... What do you think? Tks
Since you are finishing the missions you create inside of the waypoint app within your remote, you can set it to RTH, hover or continue its mission. It’s in the end of the steps before you press GO it gives you the option

The Problem is in Android version of Dji Fly, there is No option to continue mission if signal lost. The available choice are only RTH, Hover , or Land . So please clarify, what apps do you use, is it DJI Fly or GO ? Android version or IOS version ? Tks
Exactly my thought but from what it looks like they want to split commercial vs consumer and if you want to do mapping you’ll need to get an enterprise

Remove the hover setting from your mission. This is a bug that was present when I first made this video and it does not look like it was fixed. You cannot hover on a mission
It is unbelievable...now dji release a m3 with 3 cameras..but without a sdk release it is just like a play drone ...take some pics shoot a bit video...we are talking about 2000€ up to 4200€ for that...I am talking about m3 m3 classic m3 cine m3 pro...only some waypoints ....dji is really not consumers minded...

It’s the little things that will get you. What I always recommend is watch the video then do it step by step even if yo y have to pause 200 times. Glad it worked out for you!
@@StevenSSmith DJI RC. I was having the same issue as you. After copying the file from UgCS into the remote and seeing that the waypoints had successfully changed in the remote I tried to fly the route but was unable to press "GO". I got one route to work from UgCS that was 40 waypoints. Now after testing up to 50 and 100 the remote freezes up when I try to press GO. The routes with 40 waypoints that are uploaded using this technique are doing the same thing now. The only difference I notice is that the one that worked had a prompt that came up and said something like "the waypoints for this route have changed".
Yes, there’s a line of command/code that the Mavic 3 will not read and it fails the mission, even when you set up the hover from within the remote itself
@@UnitedGrom That's too bad! I am trying to do missions that are greater than 200 scans and it looks like DJI has a limit of 200 scans per route. I tried converting the file in UGCS to waypoints from photogrammetry and then splitting the 600+ waypoints into 4 smaller routes but when I got to upload the files, the drone bugs out when trying to read the waypoints. I wonder if it has a hard time reading waypoints. Have you had any success with larger scan projects greater than 200?
Correct, it is a trial version of you like it you can buy the full version. So far I haven’t found any software that will output in the correct file format for the Mavic to read and use

Did you deviate from the video? If you set some custom parameters like hover at waypoints or camera angle it will not allow you to start the mission or if it does start it will cancel after the second waypoint
@@UnitedGrom I tried a mission with a takeoff point and 235 waypoints. It takes off but then stops. So I remove the takeoff point and cut the waypoints down to 40 and I can't click go.

@@jony3009 this was done using the DJI RC which uses DJI Fly. Also within UGCS there is the option for auto RTH if signal lost

Camera parameters on M3t differ a lot from usual Mavic 3. Is there any way of setting it to M3e camera or just editing camera parameters?

The mission wont let me click go in a lot of cases. Any ideas?
