This was a great discussion! I find myself slowly moving away from Tarot readings and am slowly collecting Tarot for Art appreciation, especially RWS and using them for Solitaire games I'm developing and creating. So glad to have discovered your channel from the TH-cam algorithm. Thanks! 👏👏👏
I’ve been wanting to get into tarot/oracle decks for a while. I have a friend who does tarot but we haven’t talked about it together. I decided to gift myself a deck but I promised myself that I would use my intuition rather than an ooo pretty card. I felt drawn to this same deck and I also bought the guide book with it. I hope I will be able learn with this deck.
I haven’t done divination in awhile, but I have two tarot decks that I want to learn. One is more colorful while the other has more black. I feel like the colors or the lacking of many colors could affect one’s ability with their intuition so it’s something I want to sometime test. I also have a moonology oracle deck that I want to learn as well. One thing at a time though. Right now, just trying to make sure everything’s all set for when I turn eighteen and getting my first college class(es) registered. After that, then I want to focus more on my spirituality and my beliefs. It was nice to hear about this because it shows me that things do indeed fluctuate in one’s practice. Things change and it’s entirely ok. Thank you for this, Megan. That deck is gorgeous and felt very intuitive with its darker color scheme. I might have to get myself one soon. The symbol searching has been one of the things that has been putting me off reading tarot for awhile, so maybe I also need to shift my focuses. We’ll see as time goes on. It’s always nice watching a new video from you.
One deck that's been increasingly difficult for me to connect with is The Wild Unknown for similar reasons you mentioned. I think you've got a good plan, though, focusing on college and making time for spiritual practice when you can. And yes, things definitely do fluctuate! It happens more often than people think lol Thank you for being here and watching! 💗
I had a similar experience also. As a new Witch many many years ago, I tried to use that method of divination, but it never felt right. I used my tarot decks later for inspiration in my oil paintings. My strongest ability for divination was using Pendulum. Then Pendulum began spelling out words and phrases to answer. As, I came to realize that I was a HedgeWitch/HedgeRyder, I just channel my Higher-Source Being's Intelligence(OverSoul/Ancestors, ect.... whatever you want to call them) when I feel like I need more guidance or help on any topic, (which usually is everyday all day..ahhahahah). Anyhow, so delighted to find your channel today and thanks for sharing your growth and expansion in WitchCraft with us all.
Thank you for the kind words, Katt 💖 I'm happy to hear that you've found a divination method that works for you! I still need to play around with my own pendulum lol but I'd love to see some of your paintings if you share them!
@@RoundtheCauldron Well most all of then I've sold. Years ago when I had felt inspired to paint as just something fun to do. I got an idea one day to see if I could sell one on I think ebay back then. I kept painting what I was inspired to paint and people just kept buying them, one woman in particular. I couldn't understand it back then cuss I didn't think they were particularly good, but the people who bought them loved them. I had never realized or heard of Inspired Spiritual Art. What I do for myself is crochet all kinds of Witchy things, runes, plant hangers with runes, signs and sigils...ect...love that there are other Witches who also incorporate their art with Magik!
Hello, thank you for this video! The creators of the Spirits and Shadows Oracle have put out a new oracle deck called Dreams & Incarnations and a tarot deck too I think
Oh yes! I've seen some of their new work and I'm really interested in the cat tarot they've got! Because of course, I'm falling in love with tarot again 🤣
I never could connect with tarot. I've had to find other methods of divination. Tea leaf reading has been very interesting for me and so has a form of fire gazing that I do. I guess I'm just not much of a card reader.
I also have veered away from tarot and more into the land of oracle cards! Oracle cards, I feel, are more direct. Tarot, like you said is "heres the meaning, how does it apply" and I'm kind of over it. My oracle deck is starting to grow. I will pull out tarot here and there but it's mostly oracle these days.
I love them, too! I didn't get the physical guidebook, just the PDF. I might pick up the guidebook eventually but I do like to read these more intuitively rather than with the guidebook 💖
I honestly wish I picked up some oracle cards sooner. I have the Celtic Tree Oracle but I always read that with the ogham feda rather than the booklet so I never counted it lol making your own oracle deck sounds fun, too! I've put together a list of words for one if I ever decide to make it myself.
Divination is a bit of a crap-shoot on a good day. Mostly because the average person doesn't understand that what you're being told is how things are MOST LIKELY going to go. It's just not a matter of absolutes. To quote something I was told a long time ago, "The past is laid out behind us, and easy to see if we care to look, but the future is being written by the present, and will become the past the instant the writing of it is done." In other words, what we do right now determines how the future goes. It's not set in stone how things will turn out. As for cards of any kind, no I haven't bothered with 'em. I have a set of runes that I made for casting, but I don't use them very often. Instead, I use a pendulum and a pendulum board. The answers from it are more clear, and need no more interpretation than "yes" "No" "Maybe" "Unknown/Can't say" requires. The only catch is, the person has to ask the right question, and in the right way. Also, when I first tried a pendulum, it didn't work at all. It just hung there, and didn't so much as wiggle. However, after a bit more study, I tried again, this time asking if there was a spirit, deity, or ancestor that was willing to talk with me. I got an immediate "yes", and it's worked ever since. ( If you do this, make every effort to find out who/what you're talking to. Spend some time talking to this individual, and learn as much about them as possible. You'll regret it if you don't.) So in my experience at least, you have to actively ask for someone/something to talk/work with you. They will not just volunteer. Btw, I made my pendulum and board myself, from things I'd already had for a long time. It's a simple set-up with a lead crystal fob off of an old lamp, and a leather board with the appropriate marks burnt into it with an old soldering iron. So there's no need to spend money to give it a try.
I think your average spiritual person does understand that the future isn't set in stone. The average non-spiritual person might not, though 🤷♀️ I've never had much luck with my pendulum but I've got a pretty one my sister in law made for me. I'm glad to hear you've got a system that works for you 😊
@@RoundtheCauldron - I would have said that it's the "spiritual" people who tend to think that a person's future is already set, given that every ancient culture/religion has it's version of the goddesses known as "Fates" collectively. The Greeks had Moirai, the Romans the Parcae, the Germanic people the Norns, and the Slavs had as many as 9 goddesses of destiny, depending on the region. The Morrigan is also said to be a goddess of fate as well, since she/they determine the outcome of wars and battles. And then there's the whole book of Revelations, for the Christian folk... Throw an omniscient god into that mix, one that knows what you're going to do before you do, as well as how it's going to turn out, well, to me that means any hope of "free will" goes right out the window.
@@guarddog318 Hmm, I guess that's a fair assessment lol Maybe I just haven't run into those types of people myself. Most people I've spoken with have erred on the side of free will over fate, at least as far as I know.
@@RoundtheCauldron - I'm not arguing the point, sugar, since I'm a firm believer in free will. I'm simply basing what I've said on a lot of study and research. However, I'm also certain that some behaviors or ways of thinking have one inevitable and unpleasant conclusion, that anybody with good sense can see/predict. But I suppose that gets more into the psychological side of things, rather than the spiritual or mystical. 😁 In the end, I'm quite certain that if we don't have free will... if it's all just laid out for us before we're ever born... that life is really just a waste of time. An exercise in futility and nonsense. P.S. I've also considered the possibility that our free will only extends to how we get to a certain, pre-determined, destination. You know, the old "It's not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game"? ( Maybe the fates intervene, if you do a good enough job, and change the appointed outcome? ) So many possibilities, so many questions, and so very few answers to these sorts of riddles. * tips hat *
