You should really consider making a coloring book! But on watercolor paper. Even your line-art is just so clean and beautiful, and I feel like it would give people a really fun way to improve their own art!
I agree, this is a huge untapped market. I am currently learning how to paint and these "coloring books" would be super helpful for people like me to learn from.
You’re so lucky to have a kind printing shop in your area. I live in a small mountain town that only has one print shop and they were very unfriendly and resistant to spending the necessary time to get a final revision. They basically just wanted me out the door as quickly as possible.
I have the same issue, it’s why I bought my own printer there’s not much around here and when I’ve outsourced even if I edit the colors, they come out too dark and the printer doesn’t care.
When I first started making prints, there were only two print studios in my city that I could find, so I definitely feel lucky that one of them ended up being the awesome people that they are!
You gotta weed through the print shops that are not owned by actual artists. I've been working in printshops for years both digital and screen print. Bad shop owners are like the plague. They want to turn a dollar pressing buttons, but most don't know anything about art.
This man just puts so much effort for the best way possible for the prints not in that shortcut way to just finish of the printing and all. It was so satisfying to watch.
I did textile print at uni. One way I found really useful is swatch your colours on the print. So take a slice of your design all the way through and print on your home printer. That way you are less likely to have expensive surprises at the print store. You don't have to do it for every piece but it's really useful if you decide to print on more expensive materials metal, wood or fabric.
My day brightens up when i see you smile. A sensational end result. You must admit that it is a very long way from the presentation to the final execution of the painting for sale!
I’ve always been curious about the process of making prints! Thank you for this very helpful insight. I didn’t know how much work that goes into the print making process. The end product is killer!!
Whoa the gold foil edition with matte gold embellishments is so cool I didn’t know that’s how you get your gold leaf on all your reprints. Thnx for making this video there’s a lot of how to art videos out there but I feel like no one really talks about the steps in the printing process ❤
It's definitely a very unique and strangely quiet process! It's taken me years to learn about it all from when I first started out, and even after all those years I still feel like I am learning more each time.
I'm glad you think so! It definitely is a lengthy process that can take months to prepare, just for a single print! But it pays off and we arrive with something I'm proud of putting out there into the world
How satisfying it is to see this process. By the way, I love your paintings: the compositions and colors are beautiful and I love that you don’t leave them aside when doing so many tests. Greetings from Mexico 😄
This was seriously fascinating to watch! I had no idea that that's how gold foil gets added to prints. I loved your roommates' reactions too! Thanks for sharing the process

ILL WATCH THIS AS SOON AS ITS FINISHED, I’ll update this comment 😵💫😵💫 (Edit) So- it’s been over a week since I’ve written this comment and I apologise for not watching it yet but I am incredibly busy with uni stuff rn ( art school ) and I have a deadline that’s coming up so idk when I’ll have the time to focus on this video but I swear I’ll get round to doing it 😭!!! Sorry ( edit #2, 27/11/22 ) I’ve finally watched the video and OMG does this make me even more inspired to continue my art journey !! It’s so cool seeing the behind the scenes of an artists career that’s not just the making of the art itself. Beautifully recorded and edited too which I’d say is an art form itself ahaha,,, I don’t think I’ll ever find an artist that inspires me more than Hieu himself :p
I LOVE the special editions you did for Magic the Gathering! I was so surprised to see them pop up and so delighted. Thank you for sharing your process with us!
This is so amazing to watch! I find the behind the scenes process so fascinating - thank you for sharing! I really hope you sell these babies out - they're amazeballs. Also I saw a comment below about having such a kind and generous printer who's willing to work with you until your revisions are perfect and I agree. These printers are gems and so rare, and such wonderful folks.
I love that you're showing the amount of work that can go into the print creation process. I don't think many people realize that if you want to make really high-quality, finished art prints (not just send them to a drop-ship printer), it takes SO much work and effort. Really beautiful work!
Amazing! I don’t know why I assumed the printing & foiling would be done at the same place but it makes a lot of sense that two different companies would handle it. The attention to detail is beautiful! Thanks for showing the process! 🥰
Printing and foiling can be done in the same place. It depends on the capabilities of the printer. The problem is that do-it-all printers usually up-charge more for things dedicated printers do better because dedicated printers are more adapted and efficient with their machinery to that specific skill- therefore, bringing down cost.
i'd honestly never knew foiling processes existed two years ago! it was particularly tricky to find a process that flowed, as these two companies had never interacted before! but i think we've finally found our groove. also because they're both separate specialists in their respective fields, i feel super confident in the product we make!
Bruhhhh this was literally the most satisfying video ive ever seen in my life! I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for this video! After receiving so many of your prints over the years, it's so mesmerising to finally see how each piece is created! You truly never disappoint Hieu! As always, I'll be first in the queue on release day! Can't wait to buy these! *chefs kiss*😘👌
I am following you for years. I must say, as a graphic designer and artist, you work very professionally and really want to get the best results. a lot of artists out there selling prints, do not go through such a big quality path. I hope I can find such good printing partners in the future
I’m astonished to see how reasonable your prices are for these prints after seeing how much time and cost goes into the printing and foiling and marketing process. I would expect each one to be about four times as expensive to buy. You must sell a ton of your prints! Kudos to you for producing beautiful art and prints and making a profitable business out of it. That takes creativity and intelligence and just plain hard work. You rock!‼️
Amazing journey, really loved it. I enjoy so much watching people so excited and full of joy when they got to see your art print. Marvelous experiencia.
Hi Kelogs, I wanted to thank you for exposing your work in such a passionate and beautiful way. It inspired me to go my own way as an artist and maybe sell my work and touch people like your work does. So... thanks for being an inspiration since I was 16

wow it's so inspiring and incredible to see how much work and effort you and your team puts into your prints! They turned out so beautiful, especially with the gold foil! I usually just send my print files off to my local print shop then grab the first versions they give me LMAO but I learned so much from this, will def take more effort into my future prints aha

I guess what I wanna say is, THANK YOU, for being such an inspiration. And now, I'm gonna #brbchasingdreams XD P.S. Typing from a fine morning as a design student of one of the best art and design schools in Indonesia :)
A cool idea would be to release an art book with the creative process of the prints. Probably not add all of them but it to show the progress of the work and for it to for sure include the first print and the final print 👌🏼
Be true to your motivation in ART. If for money, then it is a business and there will be many factors to consider that may divert you from your true creativity. Balance is needed. Take it slowly and enjoy the creative journey
Loved watching this process Hieu! So fascinating to see how the prints come to be, so much dedication and attention to detail ❤ I'd love to know what camera and lens you ended up getting, I'm actually searching to get one to photograph my art.
thanks so much tomasz! after a whole year of thinking about it, i finally bit the bullet and got a Canon R5C along with a 35-70mm lens. jumped straight into the deep end, but i figured it would be a lifelong investment!
I'm an artist as well, always wanted to make art prints and sell them but i'm terrified of the process and I'm so unsure how to do everything but your videos are giving me some hope and you're really inspiring. Thank you :)
I am like one of your roommates, I was shocked by a lot of the processes in this video- plus I guess I'm late on this but *face reveal* ed?? So many mind blowing moments in this. I need to go back to chasing dreams myself!
Duuuuude I followed your work on Instagram for so long but never discovered your TH-cam channel until now. Insta sub haha Thank you for sharing how you get the dope pictures and the gold print process, so eye opening. Cheers man!

Guys he didn't say "Good morning good morning"- nooooo! Sometimes I'll just say that and immediately think of Kelogsloops!
A cool idea would be to release an art book with the creative process of the prints. Probably not add all of them but it to show the progress of the work and for it to for sure include the first print and the final print 👌🏼
Amazing to watch the process 😍
Wow!!❤❤ bro's living my dreams here ✨
What a joyful video!
Be true to your motivation in ART. If for money, then it is a business and there will be many factors to consider that may divert you from your true creativity. Balance is needed. Take it slowly and enjoy the creative journey
Outstanding and so beautiful!
This whole video was very inspiring, keep it up mate !
This was amazing to watch 😍
I wish I was talented! Your work is amazing
I am like one of your roommates, I was shocked by a lot of the processes in this video- plus I guess I'm late on this but *face reveal* ed?? So many mind blowing moments in this. I need to go back to chasing dreams myself!
