LUGGAGE TIP: Tie two or three colored ribbons of different lengths around the handle to your luggage to warn others that this is not their luggage. People grab luggage at the turnstile and take it home before you ever see it. Anywhere you put your bag, it could be grabbed in error. Example: overhead compartment, unloaded from the bus, at the hotel lobby, at the turnstile... Use 1” wide ribbons 14” long. Cut the ends at 45 degrees then seal the end with one drop of Super Glue to prevent fraying. If each ribbon is slightly a different length by 1/2” or so, they will all show no matter how they drape. Tie the 3 ribbons as if it were one ribbon using a man’s half Windsor knot for the best look. After it is tied on, the total length of the ribbons will be about 5-6” from the handle. A longer ribbon shows up better. You can see it from 40 feet away. Perhaps tie two handles, top and side of the case. Put your phone number on one ribbon using a permanent Sharpie. Example: “Owner 454-333-7878” Choose one ribbon with an unusual pattern or fabric to really make it unique. Lay all 3 ribbons on top of one another. Then tie them with a half Windsor knot, same as a man uses. Stand by the output hole of the turnstile to reduce the chance of someone else grabbing the piece. Tie your skiies, duffel bag, and what ever with matching ribbons-even your computer case. If you are a Travel Agent, you could gold stamp one ribbon with your name and phone number. Send them a set of ribbons, red and blue and BLACK to your customer as a gift. Record this gift in your database so you don’t duplicate yourself. Buy a gold hot embossing machine. Gold emboss your business name on the BLACK ribbon. Put the customer’s name on it if possible. Pleasant color combinations: Red and blue Chartreuse and purple Orange and light blue Orange and yellow Gray and pink Green and yellow Tip #2 Take a cell phone picture of the ribbon tied on. Then another picture of the full luggage piece. You now have a way to communicate “what it looks like”.
If it saves money and it gets you from A to B then nothing wrong with economy flights. But wouldn’t do it for a long haul flight. Shame about getting delays again Lincoln ☹️

Printing boarding passes is easy! You can download it ahead of time, when you check in, or you can print them at the airport. You can also store the boarding pass in your Apple wallet if you have an iPhone. As for the carry on, I'm not sure haha But you can always find more info on sizes for that on American's website. I hope you have a great trip! Where are you flying to?

You’re allowed 1 carry on each, and 1 personal item each (like a purse, computer bag). However, you will have to pay to have guaranteed seats next to each other. It’s not a lot, but that extra 10-20$ makes a difference. I’d consider the price difference. If you’re saving $150, I’d fly basic. If it’s $40, I’d probably go with standard economy.
i’m flying for the first time with american and it’s not nonstop so i’m confused about how to get to my other location because the numbers are so different
Where’s your connecting flight? Good chance you’ll fly from your home airport, to the next airport, get off the plane and go to another gate (likely in the same terminal) and then board the next plane. I wouldn’t worry! It’s an easy process most times 😀
I'll be flying these seats next week from Boston to Philadelphia then from Philadelphia to St.Maarten. Then back. Will I be comfortable for about 6 to 7 hours in the air especially in the morning? Will I need some entertainment or is it comfortable to sleep?
I’m able to sleep in these seats, but some people, like my wife, are not. I’d make sure you have some entertainment! 6-7 hours is a long time, so it’s best to have some anyways. You can always watch movies that American offers as well. On our return flight from New Orleans, I watched a movie. The selection was alright

jaz p It can be any of those, I usually have a duffle bag and a little backpack (where I have my phone and wallet). Just make sure it fits on the top bin or under your seat.

I've never had that issue. I'm 5ft 2 250pounds. At 280 I needed to ask for a seatbelt extension. I alway buy the window seat in fear of being a inconvenience to people near me.

I hear a lot of horror stories with American Airlines so I chose never to fly them. This time I had to take them due to late booking. On our way back home from Rome flight was delayed for 2 hours and then our connecting flight from Charlotte to SFO was cancelled for no apparent reason, and no on seems to know why!!! They had no intention to replace the plane with the same route. Instead they are flying us to Philadelphia with a connecting flight to SFO next day. Talk about lame!!! I will NEVER fly with them again!
They legally did not even have to rebook you onto any flight. Seems pretty fair actually since most airlines make you pay for a new ticket altogether when they cancel.

Yep. Right at 48 hours you’ll be able to do that. Like I said though, it will cost a little money, but in my opinion it’s worth it!
