I stripped out the components and laid them out visually I am a visual learner thank you very much this is one of the greatest videos I’ve seen on this topic so far
Why does ice build up on the back wall of my refrigerator. My freezer is down low and my refrigerator is up high it’s a GE refrigerator. That ice build up when it goes through the defrost process the ice falls down under the deli tray and it builds up there over a period of time and I have to crush it up and pull it back out to prevent water from going onto the floor. Thanks
There is not expansion valve here my man. He has the cap tube. This guy has a very basic understanding not exactly right. But enough to be dangerous. There is no Freon in that fridge it’s likely 134a or r290 these days
Can you tell me what it means if the drier / capillary tube keeps getting ice build up? On our fridge those components are both behind the panel in the freezer section. The fridge is not staying cold but the freezer is.
I have no Frost on the freezer condenser coils but the freezer keeps going in defrost and gets very hot . I unplugged it then plug it in again and it goes back into defrost and gets hot again .? Any ideas thanks
Thank You Sir... I'm trying to find out why our Whirlpool fridge that is 5 years old occasionally sounds like a ping pong ball with a knock... It's annoying but no other issues... Could this be a normal situation or on its way out??? Thank you for all you do to educate the public... Chuck and Cindy in Michigan

How is temperature controlled? Only by the fan moving air over the cold coil? or does the compressor run faster to make the coil colder?
This is helpful! Thanks for your time. I don't hear you say anything about an expansion valve (TXV or EEV)?

"Takes 3 pounds of refrigerant and compresses it into a one pound ball"
No, it does nothing like that. It just compresses gas.
You are so right it wouldn't change the mass but the volume, he screwed up here.
Dude made a mistake. FUCKING RELAX. You got damn clowns!!!!

That would be ice falling off into the fan, need to turn fridge off for a few hours let it defrost.

Free on hasn't been used as a refrigerant for over ten years. Should be r23 or something newer.

Freon is a brand. It’s called refrigerant.
1:06 How can it transform 3 pounds into 1?
