My Late Father. Spoke well of Barry John! Also, of Phill Bennett! But, whenever he spoke of Cliff Morgan....he spoke of " The Best He Ever Saw" Diolch yn fawr iawn, am bobeth Cliff Bach "
Cliff's Saturday morning show on BBC remains one of the abiding memories from childhood. Way before digital reminders and ASMR, I'd tune in via my inbuilt autopilot to hear those dulcet Welsh tones. He was a remarkable man and an exceptional communicator.
I'd heard variations of that last story but to hear it from the master himself was pure joy. Tony O Reilly got it spot on, Cliff Morgan was the greatest of them all.
You can find a statue of Gareth Edwards in Cardiff,so what about having one made in gold for Cliff.A great rugby player.A great commentator.A true genius of the written and spoken word.
A great player and such a commentator. John bevan..so strong this man! Without cliff des lynam wouldn't have gone on to better things. A wonderful gentleman who loved rugby and had such excellent commentry welsh tones.
My mum used to go to school with cliff. 🤔❤️
The highlight of my Saturdays was listening to Cliff on BBC radio in the morning. An outstanding talent and much missed.

A wonderful gifted man of many talents. I miss his voice in rugby commentary, and I’m sure Wales misses him even more. RIP CLIFF 🙏🙏

When the bbc could be trusted
Watch the 30 Years of Rugby Special. Cliff Morgan has a lot to say on it, and I just don't know if there will be another like him.
