Dude, what a GREAT lesson!! I will take a lot of these ideas to my students. I absolutely LOVE your playing Glen. U have become one of my very favorite drummers. Your “Hired Gun” piece on Jason’s doc was fabulous!! Ok...enough sucking up🤘😎🤘
I'm so happy the master I discovered on Jennifer's Batten "Tribal Rage" always continues to find many great ideas and shares with us. Thank you so much Mr Sobel :-)
Thanks for the personnel reply Glen! Wasn't expecting that. After years of seeing online lessons, your are making sense and are explained very well. And it's stuff you can use regularly! Cheers again!
Just saw you in Dallas a couple months back with Deep Purple. Alice was verrrry impressive and the show was nails. You blew the house down. Never seen you live and you got my attention! Im a 30 yr player (started at 15, ok)! haha...but you had some amazing control over all you execute. Is it to a point where its all from so much wood shedding and pad time, or are you just one of the Chosen!? Haha.. I love watching these lessons and your candor and ease of attitude is refreshing. Alice is also very cool. Met him long ago and talked about Zappa and the early days. He was surprised a young kid asked him about that. ; )
Thx John. It's all in putting in the time, listening, having many influences, practicing the right stuff like working with metronomes everyday and having good instruction.
Glen Sobel yes sir! My practice pad time is key for my mechanical issues and the great Steve Pruitt who taught me a lot, said the same things you just said. Theres no substitute for hard work and great results wont just happen on their own. Thanks for being an inspiration bud!!!
glen is awesome, one of my favorite drummers of all!
Thank you for all of you're efforts in the production of these videos.
Love this.
Thanks Glen.
