- Welcome to the latest MoDXtra: Games & Collectibles action figure review. In this instalment we're taking a look at the new G.I. Classified Series Quick Kick figure.
April's arrived and it's gone barmy for figure pre-orders! GI Joe Classified is no exception and Quick Kick here is the first of many to hit the channel.
I'm glad he's here though - Quick Kick is a character I've been eager to see what the Classified team do with and I'm positively giddy to get this review up.
This is a THOROUGH review. It will involve a brief unboxing of Quick Kick, an overall view of the figure, and then some detailed thoughts around his aesthetic, articulation, and accessories. (My action figure review Triple A's LOL).
Its exciting to have a continued focus on GI Joe Classified on the channel, and its my hope that if you've been thinking of picking up an Airborne of your own my thorough review will help you make your decision.

He's definitely going to be in my next round of purchases. I just got my Big Boa and Retro Carded Duke. Very much looking forward to getting some free time to get in my quality man-child play time with them.

I like the figure! I would have been fine if he was more modernized, but I get the retro appeal. Quick kick was a favorite to many Joe fans, so Hasbro decided not to muck it up! Great review Chris! 🍻

Another great review! Taken as a whole I really like how the figure turned out. I'm not going to lie though, I'm never going to use the alternative head. I get what they were going for, but it's not for me. But hey, options, I'd rather have options than not have them.

Totally agree on the head. Post filming of the review the fish lips head went straight into the bits box and will likely never get taken out again! LOL
But... you're right... it's always nice to have options, and I'd always prefer the Classified design team miss shots they've taken than take no shots at all :)

I got mine I like the figure but I wish his alternate head would have looked like he's been in a brawl little beat up and bruised
Yeah - I can't see me making much use of fish lips, I would have preferred a more practical alternative too. :)

The figure looks ok but why didnt they give us a more modern version of quick kick and keep this version for the retro line . Why was the second head sculpt so similar,it should have been more expressive like the face on the box art
My cousin said the same about the 2nd head sculpt. I think Hasbro would have created stirred up a bees nest if they modernized him to much! Quick kick has quite the following!
Yeah - this particular character is a tough one. The Classified folks were definitely facing a "damned if they, damned if they don't situation" with this guy. I like that they've tried a few little touches here & there to at least give him a "bit" of an update, but it seems clear that they've set a firm direction on the retro nostalgia train.
