Lived there for 54 years. Be great if you could recreate this when it wasn’t a total drought. It is really beautiful after some rain.

I agree, Tom. Cimarron Co. is still where I call home. The crew needs to come back when the area is green.

You have some stunning footage. I went there last summer after record rainfall, and everything was emerald green, but I think your videos are more typical.

Your videos have been a huge inspiration! I’ve explored the Wichita refuge countless times now.
Do you know if Mt. Pinchot is accessible to the public by chance?

Perfect place to film a Western.......I'm sure many have been shot in the region.

As always, you’re footage is outstanding! The Oklahoma Tourism Department could learn much from you - overall they do a poor job showcasing what vistas western Oklahoma has to offer, and don’t do much better with the completely different beauty of eastern oklahoma. Thank you!

I can’t believe this is all in Oklahoma! I bet it would be even prettier if they had some rain!

This is amazing footage. Wish there was a way to see this in person. Are there hiking trails in the area?

Black Mesa had a trail to the top and back. I think it was about 4 miles.

Lands as dynamic and beautiful as these should not be held by private hands. These ought to be public lands, especially in a state like Oklahoma where most of the income comes from harvesting natural resources and we see little in the way of taxes/leasing.

So some government guy gets the manager job? The people have owned it for 3 generations and have managed it well as you can tell.
